A trimaran is a multihull boat that comprises a main hull and two smaller outrigger hulls (or "floats") which are attached to the main hull with lateral beams. Trimarans are most commonly sail-driven yachts designed for recreation or racing, but there are a few trimaran ferries and warships.
The name "trimaran" is a 20th-century word concocted from "Tri" and "(Cata)maran". It is thought to have been invented by Victor Tchetchet, a pioneering, Ukrainian-born modern multihull designer.
The first trimarans were built by indigenous Polynesians and other Pacific islanders almost 4,000 years ago, and some of the current US terminology is derived from them. Sailing catamarans and trimarans gained popularity during the 1960s and 1970s.
In modern times, originally many catamarans and trimarans were homebuilt, but there are now many production models available. Some trimarans in the 19–36-foot lengths (5.8–11.0 m) are designed as "day-sailers" which can be transported on a road trailer. These include the original Farrier - Corsair folding trimarans - and original John Westell swing-wing folding trimaran (using the same folding system later adopted also on Quorning Dragonfly) and like trimarans. Some designers have penned "demountable trimarans" that are able to be trailered (like the SeaCart 30 by Oceanlake Marine ).
I video taped a tour of the entire boat. The camera work is shaky in parts (just to test Byn’s ability to withstand motion sickness!), but if you can get past that… The exterior tour is especially shaky, but the interior tour isn’t bad, so we’ll start with that! Here is my tour of our soon to be new home! We plan to become a full time live aboard family beginning in December 2015. My wife and I, as well as our three younger kids (ages 14, 17 & 19) plus another 18 yo and last but not least, our dogs Tiberius and Cinnamon will be living on the boat with us. Cruising life, here we come! 1975 46' Norman Cross 46 Trimaran. It was a fiberglass over double planked plywood ketch. This was a very interesting project, On my way back from Vietnam, I dropped into Batam Island off the coast of Sumatra, to film a friends brand new amazing carbon fibre yacht he had just built. Literally a week or two old. TALK ABOUT FAST ! Stable and so easy to sail ! It's very much the cruising boat of the future, I didn't have all my normal crew or cameras with me and decided to shoot this on a tiny SONY A7s, which was pretty much useless when shooting from a dingy in rough water. I asked my son to purchase a little DJI OSMO for a bit of fun and to bring it up with him (which ended being a life saver) And we also we asked a DJI drone crew to come in from Jakarta to help out as well. The stability results from these little DJI cameras were outstanding ! The RAPIDO TRIMARAN people wer...

Corsair 31 Trimaran sailing Phuket Thailand January 2017, Segeln im Paradies
A small trimaran. Motor and sailboat. A 3 h.p. motor. A bi-plane sail rig; consisting of 2 un-stayed carbon masts, with wind surfer sails. Uses about one and a half litres of petrol per hour. Made from 4 m.m. plywood on stringers. Stainless staples. with some light fibreglass. Carbon fibre over 10 m.m. ply ; for bracket/ clamp areas. Beams are old aluminium masts. Foot steer. One person. Made the hulls on the car garage over the winter. Sailed/motored this boat all summer. 5 weeks. Out nearly ever day. The really pleasing part is that it performs better than I had hoped!! Sails really well downwind. Bow is fairly full; so as not to bury down a 3 to 4 foot wave. And upwind, with the motor and a centre board; it is great. The windward sail is not fully sheeted in. Works more like a gib f...

She is the sixth ship of the United States Navy to be named for the concept of independence. The design was produced by the General Dynamics consortium for the Navy's LCS program, and competes with the Lockheed Martin-designed Freedom variant.[10] Independence, delivered to the Navy at the end of 2009, is a high-speed, small-crew corvette (although the U.S. Navy does not use the term) intended for operation in the littoral zone. She can swap out various systems to take on various missions, including finding and destroying mines, hunting submarines in and near shallow water, and fighting ...
In 1989 the trimaran Rose Noelle set sail from Picton, New Zealand, for Tonga with four men on board. After a freak wave turned the boat upside down, they drifted for 119 days before landing on Great Barrier Island.

Tout l'amour que j'ai pour toi
Est br?lant comme un feu
Il est grand et plein d'?clat
C'est si bon d'?tre heureux
Mes cris de joie
Je te les dois
Car rien pour moi
N'est plus que toi
M?me quand tu n'es pas l?
Tu es pr?sent, bien pr?sent
Tout l'amour que j'ai pour toi
Est plus fort chaque jour
Je crois bien qu'il durera
Pour la vie, pour toujours
Quelle obsession, que ma passion
Je dis non
Tout bas, tout bas
Au moindre bruit de tes pas
Mon c?ur bat, mon c?ur bat
Je veux crier au monde entier
Que rien ne peut nous s?parer
Tout l'amour que j'ai pour toi
