No other band collects conspiracy theories like the Beatles. Did Paul McCartney die in 1966? Were the Beatles a product of the sinister Tavistock Institute and sent to brainwash a generation? Was John Lennon murdered? Was Brian Epstein murdered? Were the Beatles Aleister Crowley worshipping Satanists? What was the connection between the Beatles and Charles Manson? Who was the wicked dentist and who really controls the Beatles millions?
The Beatles Book of Revelations explores all these questions plus much, much more. Take a trip down the rabbit hole and discover for yourself the shocking truth.

Helloo. I'm back after a little break/book drought over the summer and although its not video game related it's still a belter of a book today.
The extended special edition is different from the abridged standard version. It has more words, more pictures, more Beatle-y goodness. Some come have a look with me.

A note on the room decor (which I obviously don't worry too much about): I moved my H4n recorder out of the camera because I thought it would look better (its on the floor). The trade off is that its a little farther away from the guitar. I don't think it affected the sound quality too much. Feel free to let me know if you think it did or not.

Hi All,
This is my arrangement of the John Lennon tune, "Cry Baby Cry"; one of the few arrangements from "Beatles for Classical Guitar" that has not been uploaded to YouTube by me or anyone else. I hope this is helpful to anyone who has the book.
"Cry Baby Cry" is a great tune, but was tucked away on the last side of the album commonly known as "The White Album", right before the unusual "Revolution #9", so its probably not as well known as many of their other songs. As a bonus and just for fun, I also included the nameless little tune (usually known as "Can You Take Me Back") Paul McCartney ad-libbed at the end. The sheet music for this arrangement (except for the coda) is included in the Hal Leonard book, "Beatles for Classical Guitar". I hope you enjoy it!

Hi All,
This is my arrangement of the early Beatle tune, "From Me to You", and the only one of the 30 arrangements from the book "Beatles for Classical Guitar" that has not been uploaded to YouTube by me, or anyone else. "From Me to You" seems like an appropriate way to close out this project. I hope these videos are helpful to anyone who has the book.
As far as the song itself, "From Me to You" was the first Beatle tune to reach #1 in some British charts in 1963. However, most of us in the U.S. (including me) weren't aware of it until 1964. An interesting mark of the Beatle's early creativity is the use of the augmented chord in this song. Very few young pop musicians were using this chord at all - this tune uses it twice!
Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy it,

Originally released in 1964, I first heard "I Don't Want to Spoil the Party" in 1965, when it was the B side of "Eight Days a Week" here in the U.S. The song has a definite "country" influence, and I tried to keep that sound with this arrangement. This is another Beatle tune that was actually written by John, so it also fits in well with my recent Lennon arrangement uploads. The sheet music is included in "Beatles for Classical Guitar", published by Hal Leonard.
Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy it!

This is a slightly enhanced version of my arrangement of "I Will", which is included in the book "Beatles for Classical Guitar". The changes are that, first of all, I added some slurred notes to the intro to make it sound more like the recording on "The White Album". Also, just for fun, I played around with the chorus the second time around (in The Beatles' version there is no "second time around"). Thanks for listening!

It seems like I haven't uploaded a Beatle tune in a while. To remedy that, here is my arrangement of "I'm a Loser", from the book "Beatles for Classical Guitar" (Hal Leonard Corp.) Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy it!
Larry
Note to performers and/or arrangers:
I took some artistic liberty with this arrangement - I added a bass line the Beatles never used; it goes though out the tune. I pretty much played my arrangement as is (except for the second verse, which I decided to have some fun with!) I also noticed that I very slightly changed the rhythm on the second phrase in the verse section - that happens when you're playing something by memory that you've played for years. I hope this doesn't hamper anyone trying to learn the tune. Also, you will notice I am playing "swing eighths". This was the way I meant it, but unfortunately the indication didn't make it through the editing process. For more playing tips, see my "Beatle for Classical Guitar User's Guide" on my website.

This is my arrangement of "I'm Only Sleeping", by the Beatles. It is included in the book, "Beatles for Classical Guitar". The slightly strange story behind this video is that I had no intention of uploading it until a few days ago when I actually dreamed I was recording "I'm Only Sleeping". The more I thought about the idea of dreaming about playing a song about sleeping, the odder it seemed. So I figured I should probably do it for real. Anyway, here it is, almost just like in my dream - I hope you enjoy it!

All the tunes from "John Lennon for Classical Guitar" are now on YouTube, so here is my arrangement of one of the best John Lennon tunes from his Beatles years, "In My Life". It is a wonderful tune for the fall season, I am in fact, playing it at a wedding in a couple of weeks, so this was a good excuse for me to dust it off and upload it. The weather here in Kansas City has been perfect, and fortunately the heavy construction across the street stopped just long enough for me record it this morning. The sheet music for this tune and 29 others is available in "Beatles for Classical Guitar", published by the Hal Leonard Corporation. By the way, my YouTube friend Modesto de Renzio also has uploaded a very good version of this arrangement. Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy it!

The performance took place in front of 2,500 members of The Beatles' Northern Area Fan Club, between 3.45 and 4.30pm. It was filmed in its entirety by the BBC, and 30 minutes were broadcast that evening from 8.10pm to 8.40pm during a special programme entitled It's The Beatles.
The group played a short version of From Me To You, followed by I Saw Her Standing There, All My Loving, Roll Over Beethoven, Boys, Till There Was You, She Loves You, This Boy, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Money (That's What I Want), Twist And Shout, and another version of From Me To You.
Technical problems and lack of rehearsal times meant the sound balance for the concert recording was sub-standard. Both The Beatles and senior figures at the BBC later expressed concern at the often embarrassing nature of the footage, which included the absence of Ringo vocals during Boys and the director focusing on the wrong members of the group during key moments.
After the concert the BBC also recorded a two-minute interview with the group to use on the Christmas Day edition of Top Of The Pops.
The Beatles then made the short journey to the nearby Odeon Cinema on London Road where they gave two evening concerts. The police closed Pudsey Street to the public to allow the group to reach the venue unhindered.

“I did the slow version and I wanted it out as a single: as a statement of The Beatles’ position on Vietnam and The Beatles’ position on revolution. For years, on The Beatles’ tours, Brian Epstein had stopped us from saying anything about Vietnam or the war.” - John Lennon.
“Plugging directly into the Abbey Road desk and pushing the needles into the red achieved the fuzz-guitar sound. According to George Martin “We got into distortion on that, which we had a lot of complaints from the technical people about. But that was the idea: it was John’s song and the idea was to push it right to the limit. Well, we went to the limit and beyond.”

The Beatles 1 Video Collection is out now. Available on: http://www.thebeatles.com/
Hey Jude topped the charts in Britain for two weeks and for 9 weeks in America, where it became The Beatles longest-running No.1 in the US singles chart as well as the single with the longest running time.
The Beatles did not record their promotional film until Hey Jude had been on sale in America for a week. They returned to Twickenham Film Studio, using director Michael Lindsay-Hogg who had worked with them on Paperback Writer and Rain. Earlier still, Lindsay-Hogg had directed episodes of Ready Steady Go! And a few months after the film for Hey Jude he made The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus TV special that featured John and Yoko but wouldn’t be shown until 1996
To help with the filming an audience of around 300 local people, as well as some of the fans that gathered regularly outside Abbey Road Studios were brought in for the song’s finale. Their presence had an unlikely upside for The Beatles in their long-running saga with the Musicians’ Union in that the MU were fooled into believing the band were playing live, when in fact they were miming for the vast majority of the song. Paul, however, sang live throughout the song.
The video was first broadcast on David Frost’s Frost On Sunday show, four days after it was filmed. At that point transmission was in black and white although the promo was originally shot in colour. It was first aired in America a month later on 6 October 1968, on The Smotheres Brothers Comedy Hour.

Yesterday (Live in Germany)

The Beatles 1 Video Collection is out now. Available on: http://www.thebeatles.com/
Written by John as an expression of his love for Yoko Ono, the song is heartfelt and passionate. As John told Rolling Stone magazine in 1970, “When it gets down to it, when you’re drowning, you don’t say, ‘I would be incredibly pleased if someone would have the foresight to notice me drowning and come and help me,’ you just scream.”
During filming on the roof of Apple, two days after the recording of the track, the band played ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ right after doing two versions of 'Get Back’ and it led straight into 'I’ve Got A Feeling’. Michael Lindsay-Hogg was once again directing a Beatles’ shoot. He and Paul met regularly at the tail end of 1968, while Hogg was directing The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, to discuss the filming of The Beatles’ session in January. By the time that fateful Thursday came around, the penultimate day of January would be the last time The Beatles ever played together in front of any kind of audience.
This is not the version of ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ heard on the single but the version from the Let It Be… Naked album – a composite of both versions that were performed on the roof of Apple in Savile Row

“If you listen to my playing, I try to become an instrument; play the mood of the song. For example, ‘Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire,’ - boom ba bom. I try to show that; the disenchanting mood. The drum fills are part of it.” Ringo Starr
Of very few individual songs can it be said, ‘This changed the course of popular music.’ ‘A Day In The Life’ is one such song.
Recorded in January and February 1967, a large orchestra was assembled for the amazing additional flourishes and fills, although at first the 40 classically trained musicians struggled with the concept of what they were being asked to play.
George Martin and Paul conducted the orchestra and helped to create a finished track that was more than just different, it was utterly unique. Starting from John’s beautiful song, the end result was something simply unbelievable.
As you can see from the film, this was no ordinary recording session. The classical musicians, who had been asked to wear evening dress, took it upon themselves to wear fake noses, funny hats and generally enter into the spirit of the occasion. Filmed between 8pm and 1am with guests including Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the occasion provided some of the inspiration for what transpired during the recording and filming of ‘All You Need Is Love’ for the Our World project.

With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the greatest and most influential act of the rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented with several genres, ranging from pop ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements in innovative ways. In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania", but as the group's music grew in sophistication, led by primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney, they came to be perceived as an embodiment of the ideals shared by the era's sociocultural revolutions.

This is the 1975 album of The Beatles, never released...
The band's breakup was announced in April 1970, but they continued on their solo careers. We created a 'possible' discography for the 1970-1981 period, including all CD artworks.
By 1971, Lennon suggested that disappointed fans could compile the former members’ solo material themselves to create new "Beatles" records: "If people need the Beatles so much, all they have to do is to buy each album and … put it on tape, track by track, one of me, one of Paul, one of George, one of Ringo, if they really need it that much. Because otherwise the music is the same, only on separate albums" (source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4:_John_Paul_George_Ringo)
