Prem Chopra (born September 23, 1935) is an actor in Hindi and Punjabi films. He has acted in 320 films. He is famous for his soft spoken diction despite being a villain in most films.
Chopra was born to a Hindu Punjabi family in Lahore on 23 September 1935 to Ranbirlal and Rooprani Chopra. He was third of six children. After the partition of India, his family moved to Shimla, where he was brought up. His father desired that Prem be a doctor. He graduated from Punjab University.
Chopra married sister of wife of late Bollywood showman Raj Kapoor, and they have three daughters: Rakita, Punita and Prerana. Punita is married to actor, Vikas Bhalla, while Prerana Chopra is married to actor, Sharman Joshi.
Among his early films he played Sukhdev in Shaheed, one of his rare positive leading roles. After Teesri Manzil and Upkaar, he was flooded with films as a villain. After Upkaar in 1967, he left The Times of India.
He has ever since been a leading villain in Hindi films. The dialogue " Prem naam hai mera, Prem Chopra" from the film Bobby has been very popular. Another famous Prem Chopra dialogue is from film Souten - "Main wo bala hoon jo sheshay se pathar ko todtee hai" which closely translates to "I am that trouble which crushes stones with glass". He was the regular in villanious role in the films with Rajesh Khanna in the lead role from 1969-1991 from Doli(1969) till Ghar Parivaar (1991). The duo of Prem and Rajesh Khanna acted in 19 films together and had 15 of them as box office hits and were very close friends in real life till Khanna's death. Of late, he has started taking comic and character roles too.
He had a good career spanning 47 years and was popular for villain roles in Bollywood.

Prem Chopra (born 23 September 1935) is an Indian actor in Hindi and Punjabi films. He has acted in 320 films over a span of over 50 years. He has a soft spoken diction despite being a villain in most films.
Personal life and education
Prem Chopra, the third of six children of Ranbirlal and Rooprani Chopra, a Punjabi Hindu family, was born on 23 September 1935, in Lahore. After the partition of India, his family moved to Shimla, where he was brought up. His father desired that Prem be a doctor or an Indian Administrative Services officer.
Prem Chopra completed his schooling and college from Shimla after his father, who was a government servant, got transferred there. He graduated from Punjab University. He took part in college dramatics enthusiastically. At his father's insistence, he completed his graduation and then went to Mumbai. Soon after he made his debut film, his mother was detected with mouth cancer and she died, leaving his then nine-year-old sister Anju to be looked after by his father and his four other brothers. The brothers had given warning to their respective wives that only if their sister is happy would they be happy and Prem considers his sister as his first daughter. Noted writer-director Lekh Tandon brought the proposal of Uma for marriage to Prem. Uma was the younger sister of the siblings Krishna Kapoor, Prem Nath and Rajendranath. The couple have three daughters, Rakita, Punita and Prerna Chopra. Rakita is married to film publicity designer Rahul Nanda. Punita owns a pre-school called Wind Chimes in Bandra, suburban Mumbai, and is married to singer and television actor Vikas Bhalla. Prerna is married to Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi. He resides in a duplex apartment in Pali Hill, Bandra in Mumbai.

Amidst media frenzy, the Kabadias arrange for the public appearance of Laxmikant, followed quickly by another funeral, this time of an unknown Christian male, who they pass off as another family relative. Watch what happens when Ramu goes live on TV to announce the untimely passing away of a very much alive Vidyut Baba, throwing open a virtual Pandora's box. Amidst hilarious chaos, the family's lives are complicated even more when they find out to their shock that Laxmikant was leading a dual life and had sired a third son from another woman.

Plot: Two bumbling, middle-aged private detectives, Dharamchand and Karamchand, are assigned to locate the missing daughter, Asha, of a multi-millionaire. Their adventures take them to a gangster named Prem Chopra and a criminal don named Motilal Sippy. With a lot of skill, action, and fights, they do rescue the girl in their captivity, and bring her to her dad. It is then that they find out that the real Asha is already back home safe and sound, and they had rescued the wrong girl. But now it is too late, as the underworld and it's men are out to get them.

Plot: Mr. Nath lives a very wealthy lifestyle in India along with his wife, Sushma, and a 6 year old son, Raj. Both he and Sushma lead a very busy life, so much so that they have no quality time to spend with Raj, leaving his care, even breast-feeding, to their maidservant, Mrs. Braganza, who Raj regards as his mother. When Mr. Nath finds Raj to be precocious, he has him enrolled in a distant boarding school. When Raj returns after 12 years, he does not find any change, save that Mrs. Braganza does not work there anymore as she has been fired by Sushma. At his 18th birthday party, he meets with flirtatious Nima, and this is when he sets his eyes on Bobby, Mrs. Braganza's 16 year old granddaughter, and falls head over heels in love with her. To his delight he finds that she also loves him, much to the chagrin of his parents, who agree to meet with Bobby's dad, Jack, and Mrs. Braganza, but humiliate them. This does not deter Raj and Bobby and they continue to meet, so much so that Mr. Nath instructs him not to leave the house or he will have him and the entire Braganza family arrested if they attempt to get the young couple married, as they are minors and must attain the age of 21 to be married. Raj decides to wait for 2 more years and accordingly writes to Bobby. Raj will soon realize that his parents have already selected a wife for him, in the shape and form of Alka Sharma, the only daughter of wealthy Mr. Sharma. Watch what impact this has on Raj on the occasion of his surprise engagement to Alka.

Prem Chopra (born September 23, 1935) is an actor in Hindi and Punjabi films. He has acted in 320 films. He is famous for his soft spoken diction despite being a villain in most films.
Chopra was born to a Hindu Punjabi family in Lahore on 23 September 1935 to Ranbirlal and Rooprani Chopra. He was third of six children. After the partition of India, his family moved to Shimla, where he was brought up. His father desired that Prem be a doctor. He graduated from Punjab University.
Chopra married sister of wife of late Bollywood showman Raj Kapoor, and they have three daughters: Rakita, Punita and Prerana. Punita is married to actor, Vikas Bhalla, while Prerana Chopra is married to actor, Sharman Joshi.
Among his early films he played Sukhdev in Shaheed, one of his rare positive leading roles. After Teesri Manzil and Upkaar, he was flooded with films as a villain. After Upkaar in 1967, he left The Times of India.
He has ever since been a leading villain in Hindi films. The dialogue " Prem naam hai mera, Prem Chopra" from the film Bobby has been very popular. Another famous Prem Chopra dialogue is from film Souten - "Main wo bala hoon jo sheshay se pathar ko todtee hai" which closely translates to "I am that trouble which crushes stones with glass". He was the regular in villanious role in the films with Rajesh Khanna in the lead role from 1969-1991 from Doli(1969) till Ghar Parivaar (1991). The duo of Prem and Rajesh Khanna acted in 19 films together and had 15 of them as box office hits and were very close friends in real life till Khanna's death. Of late, he has started taking comic and character roles too.
He had a good career spanning 47 years and was popular for villain roles in Bollywood.

Synopsis - Sagar Hussain lives a poor lifestyle in India. He relocates to Mumbai in order to better his prospects and finds work at a factory that only hires male employees. On his first day at work he observes all the workers leave their respective workplaces, go to an adjoining room to spy throw on a hole on a woman next door who is taking a bath. The next day he approaches the woman, Sabina, tells her of the intrusion to her privacy, but she mocks him. She does cover the hole, and then subsequently both Sagar and she fall in love and get married. Soon they become parents of three girls. Several years later Sameena approaches a Social Worker, Ambare, and tells him that Sagar has been sexually molesting her daughters for the last eight years. Appalled at this, Ambare informs the Police, Sagar is arrested, held in Central Jail as an Undertrial, and is to be produced before Justice Jaya Reddy, a Judge who has been known to sentence a man to jail for six months for merely throwing a peanut on a woman. Sagar hires a lawyer, Ravi Vishnoi, and his Assistant, Apte, and enters a plea of not guilty even though he has been found guilty not only by the Public Prosecutor, the Police, his neighbors, the media as well as his fellow inmates. What are Sagar's chances of a fair trial - especially when his very own wife and daughters will be coming forward to testify against him, and his fellow inmates, who have already contracted someone in the 'safe yard' to kill him.
