Al Leong is the "who is the asian bad guy" everyone asks when watching movies from the 1980's-90's including such classics as BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, LETHAL WEAPON, DIE HARD and BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE (Ghengis Khan); and hit TV Series like THE A-TEAM and KNIGHT RIDER; and stunt work on films THE GOLDEN CHILD, BLACK RAIN, LAST ACTION HERO, ESCAPE FROM L.A. & GODZILLA. With a career spanning 30 years, it's hard not to know who Al Leong is and yet he still remains to many the mysterious "that asian bad guy." However, Al has maintained a cult status and a devoted fan base. After conquering brain cancer in the 90's that led to multiple strokes, Al has slowed down, but not stopped. His most recent projects include a documentary about his life and the TV Series AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS. We are excited to bring the Al Leong of 2014!

Al Leong has always been choosy about the movies he's worked on which he explains in his book on his life. Al got the role as bad guy Uli in Die Hard, from Joel Silver, the same producer he had worked with on Lethal Weapon. Al Leong didn't do any stunts in Die Hard but in his next movie Rapid Fire, he performed fight scenes. Al Leong had a lot of fun working on Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure playing Genghis Khan and it is one of the few films Al doesn't die in!
Al Leong got into stunts after working for 3 years behind the camera as a grip and a director asked him to teach four actresses martial arts and then when they came to shoot the scene the director asked him to take part. Al has broken all his ribs at least twice, cracked his sternum twice and broken his arms.
Al Leong also really enjoyed Big Trouble in Little China, because director John Carpenter was great and he is Al's favourite director. Al Leong has walked off big movies when things haven't worked out well on set. Al enjoyed working on Black Rain as a Yakuza Assassin and really likes Michael Douglas who would queue up for lunch and eat with all of the crew rather than go to his trailer.
Die Hard also starred Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman and Bonnie Bedelia and was directed by John McTiernan.
Al Leong played Endo in Lethal Weapon which also starred Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Gary Busey and was directed by Richard Donner.
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure also starred Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter and George Carlin and was directed by Stephen Herek.
Al Leong played a Wing Kong Hatchet Man in Big Trouble in Little China which also starred Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall and Dennis Dun.
Al Leong played Minh in Rapid Fire which also starred Brandon Lee, Powers Boothe and Nick Mancuso and was directed by Dwight H. Little.

Al Leong is a True Manpunching Legend, one of the greats who has starred alongside Kurt Russel, John Claude Van Damme, Brandon Lee, Bruce Willis and has been killed by most of them. Al Leong
Albert "Al" Leong (born September 30, 1952), aka Al "Ka Bong", is an American stuntman and actor. Characterized by his impressive martial arts skills (including Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Tae Kwon Do, Kali,& Jujutsu), long wavy hair, and a prominent Fu Manchu moustache, he has had a number of small but memorable roles as a henchman in some of the most popular action films (which usually resulted in his character's death), including Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. He also collaborated with director John Carpenter in Big Trouble in Little China and They Live. Such appearances in many action films have garnered him a cult following. However, his most prominent role is probably in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, as Genghis Khan.
Early life
Leong was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and grew up in Los Angeles, California.
Career
His credits include Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Joshua Tree, Big Trouble in Little China, The Scorpion King, and They Live. and a recurring role on the first season of the TV series 24. He also portrayed an out-of-time Genghis Khan in the comedy Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. In 2003, Leong lampooned himself as well as the Hollywood tradition of actor and director 'reels' by starring in screenwriter Dave Callaham's "Writer's Reel." In the five-minute short film, Leong portrayed Callaham going through a typical day in the life of a writer. The 'reel' was accepted into a number of short film festivals.

Al Leong is the "who is the asian bad guy" everyone asks when watching movies from the 1980's-90's including such classics as BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, LETHAL WEAPON, DIE HARD and BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE (Ghengis Khan); and hit TV Series like THE A-TEAM and KNIGHT RIDER; and stunt work on films THE GOLDEN CHILD, BLACK RAIN, LAST ACTION HERO, ESCAPE FROM L.A. & GODZILLA. With a career spanning 30 years, it's hard not to know who Al Leong is and yet he still remains to many the mysterious "that asian bad guy." However, Al has maintained a cult status and a devoted fan base. After conquering brain cancer in the 90's that led to multiple strokes, Al has slowed down, but not stopped. His most recent projects include a documentary about his life and the TV Series AWESOME ASIAN BAD GUYS. We are excited to bring the Al Leong of 2014!

Al Leong has always been choosy about the movies he's worked on which he explains in his book on his life. Al got the role as bad guy Uli in Die Hard, from Joel Silver, the same producer he had worked with on Lethal Weapon. Al Leong didn't do any stunts in Die Hard but in his next movie Rapid Fire, he performed fight scenes. Al Leong had a lot of fun working on Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure playing Genghis Khan and it is one of the few films Al doesn't die in!
Al Leong got into stunts after working for 3 years behind the camera as a grip and a director asked him to teach four actresses martial arts and then when they came to shoot the scene the director asked him to take part. Al has broken all his ribs at least twice, cracked his sternum twice and broken his arms.
Al Leong also really enjoyed Big Trouble in Little China, because director John Carpenter was great and he is Al's favourite director. Al Leong has walked off big movies when things haven't worked out well on set. Al enjoyed working on Black Rain as a Yakuza Assassin and really likes Michael Douglas who would queue up for lunch and eat with all of the crew rather than go to his trailer.
Die Hard also starred Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman and Bonnie Bedelia and was directed by John McTiernan.
Al Leong played Endo in Lethal Weapon which also starred Mel Gibson, Danny Glover and Gary Busey and was directed by Richard Donner.
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure also starred Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter and George Carlin and was directed by Stephen Herek.
Al Leong played a Wing Kong Hatchet Man in Big Trouble in Little China which also starred Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall and Dennis Dun.
Al Leong played Minh in Rapid Fire which also starred Brandon Lee, Powers Boothe and Nick Mancuso and was directed by Dwight H. Little.
