Officer! was a french/english pop/jazz/electronic band in the mid to late 80's. They were quite unusual in the fact that they incorporated a couple orchestral instruments like the bassoon, cello, viola and harp in their instrument line up. These instruments were certainly not typical of an experimental band, nonetheless the band being members of the underground music scene blooming at this time. They have released approximately 5 or more albums.
Ossification (which basically means bone tissue formation) might be their first album. It was recorded and released by Ayaa in 1984.

From the Top Cop: Defenders, I mentioned that I held discussions with my RAF counterpart, Air Commodore Andy Hall. We have a nearly 50 year history of cooperation with the RAF Regiment and many of our most senior SF leaders have served tours as exchange officers. The Air Commodore and I set a framework for future cooperation through possibly expanded exchange opportunities, allied exercises and increased participation in competitions like ATLANTIC CHALLENGE. I thank the Air Commodore for his hospitality and I look forward to showing off our Defenders the next time he visits the US!

A look at the four phases of Air Force Basic Officer Training...
Indoctrination
In the first phase, you'll focus on teamwork, discipline and standardization. You'll be provided with the shared common experience in military training that includes drill and ceremonies, as well as room and uniform inspections that teach attention to detail and the need to form—and operate as—a team. Additionally, you'll begin to learn the fundamentals of leadership, military management and basic concepts of cultural awareness.
Development
In this phase, you'll further develop your understanding of the fundamentals of leadership, military management and the profession of arms. You'll learn the history of the Air Force and begin to understand and contribute to the Airman culture. In addition, you'll learn basic combat skills and the importance of cross-cultural competence as it relates to the Air Force mission. The phase concludes with your promotion to upper-class status and the arrival of the next Basic Officer Training lower class.
Application
The third phase focuses on the practical application of lessons learned in the previous phases. You'll experience the pressures of leadership and command by training the new lower class, as well as by leading your peers through officer trainee wing positions. In order to advance to the next phase, you'll have to pass individual leadership evaluations at the Leadership Reaction Course. The course schedule is subject to change.
Transition
The final phase of the program prepares you to make the transition from a training environment to the operational Air Force. This phase concentrates on mentoring and the practical transition into the traditions and everyday life of an Air Force Officer

A look at the four phases of Air Force Commissioned Officer Training.
Orientation
In the first phase, you'll focus on teamwork, discipline and standardization. You'll be provided with the shared common experience in military training to include drill, marching and inspections that teach attention to detail and the need to form—and operate as—a team. You'll also begin to learn fundamentals of leadership and military management.
Development
In the second phase, you'll further develop your understanding of the Air Force culture and the fundamentals of leadership. In this phase, you and your fellow trainees will be asked to work as a team to accomplish certain tasks. While you may experience conflict with one another, this is all part of the process of establishing a working relationship and promoting efficient teamwork. By overcoming these conflicts and putting the group goal first, you and your fellow trainees will grow as a team.
Application
In the third phase, you'll be applying the skills and knowledge that you've learned in the previous phases to successfully lead your team in assigned missions. You'll transition from merely practicing leadership to being a full-time leader. By experiencing the pressures of leadership and command, you'll gain a better understanding of what will be required of you, which will make you a more effective team member.
Transition
During the final phase, your leadership development will be tested as you're directed to perform alone as the sole leader of your team. Through staff and peer feedback, you'll complete the course with an understanding of your individual leadership strengths, as well as areas for improvement. This final phase of the program also prepares you to make the transition from a training environment to the operational Air Force.

An air officer is a Royal Air Force officer of the rank of air commodore or higher. Such officers may be termed "officers of air rank". The term is also used by many Commonwealth nations who have a similar rank structure to the RAF.
It is equivalent in concept to a flag officer in navies and a general officer in armies and marine corps. However, in the British Armed Forces, while an air commodore is an air officer, his Royal Navy equivalent (commodore) is not considered a flag officer, nor is his British Army or Royal Marines equivalent (brigadier) considered a general officer. However, in 1919 when the RAF introduced its air officer ranks, the equivalent army rank was brigadier-general, which was a general officer rank until its abolition in 1922.
In some other countries, most notably the armed forces of the United States, army, air force and marine corps, one-star officers are considered to be general officers and one-star officers of the navy and coast guard are considered to be flag officers.

They were quite unusual in the fact that they incorporated a couple orchestral instruments like the bassoon, cello, viola and harp in their instrument line up. These instruments were certainly not typical of an experimental band, nonetheless the band being members of the underground music scene blooming at this time. They have released approximately 5 or more albums.
Ossification (which basically means bone tissue formation) might be their first album. It was recorded and released by Ayaa in 1984.

Additionally, you'll begin to learn the fundamentals of leadership, military management and basic concepts of cultural awareness.
Development
In this phase, you'll further develop your understanding of the fundamentals of leadership, military management and the profession of arms. You'll learn the history of the Air Force and begin to understand and contribute to the Airman culture. In addition, you'll learn basic combat skills and the importance of cross-cultural competence as it relates to the Air Force mission. The phase concludes with your promotion to upper-class status and the arrival of the next Basic Officer Training lower class.
Application
The third phase focuses on the practical application of lessons learned in the previous phases. You'll experience the pressures of leadership and command by training the new lower class, as well as by leading your peers through officer trainee wing positions. In order to advance to the next phase, you'll have to pass individual leadership evaluations at the Leadership Reaction Course. The course schedule is subject to change.
Transition
The final phase of the program prepares you to make the transition from a training environment to the operational Air Force. This phase concentrates on mentoring and the practical transition into the traditions and everyday life of an Air Force Officer
