Richard Cottrell's work is well worth looking into, and his interview was great. Yet, there are a few issues with some of what Mr. Cottrell states, so
I'll make the following observations.
1. "Perfidious
England" is far more dangerous than Stooge
USA.
Mr. Cottrell uses the
Oxford approach of basically blaming the US for whatever went wrong in the
20th century. Here, the target is
Gen. Lemnitzer. According to Mr. Cottrell, it was Lemnitzer who turned these
Gladio cells into terror cells. Before him, they were just a good
British idea for preempting a
Soviet occupation. This is nonsense. These were terror cells from the start, and the British knew exactly what they were doing, since they're pioneers at this technique.
Britain's
Foreign Office spent the last
200 years setting up these kinds of terrorist destabilization cells all over the world. They created the
Jacobin cells of Marat and
Danton. They destabilized
Italy with
Mazzini and his gangs, and had anarchists and communists on the go in
France,
Russia, and elsewhere. In
China and India they used local kingpins and mafias. In
South Africa, they used Dr. Jameson's gangsters to destabilize the
Boers.
It's no coincidence that
Churchill admittedly used the
Rhodes/Jameson model for these
NATO cells -- it was a very destructive model. That's also why they used Fascists for these Gladio cells -- these were the right kind of thugs with which to perpetrate acts of terrorism against democratic
Europe in the post-WWII era.
2. Lemnitzer was a
Wall Street,
City of London mercenary.
Lemnitzer was a military man for the Anglophile faction that sequestered
US foreign policy, almost totally since the assassinations of the 60s. If you focus on Lemnitzer, you also have to focus on the people who owned him: Wall Street financiers. Now, in turn, these people were/are also owned. They're the "colonial" franchise of the City of London -- a collection of very wealthy and powerful,
Euro oligarchs. That's where the marching orders come from.
The "City" is the center for the "world system" -- globalization --, the City of London's global plantation.
The City is the world's finance center, but it's also the center for general world politics, including in military and geopolitical strategy.
3. Gladio was/is essential for the British "strategy of tension".
Gladio operations were/are a tool of City of London geopolitics. One of the essential goals in the
Cold War was to keep the nations of
Continental Europe disorganized, fractured, under strict economic control. Hence the obsession with murdering
De Gaulle, the man who stood up to the financiers and actually tried to develop France.
Gladio was also meant to generate conflict between countries and peoples, the proverbial British "strategy of tension", the divide and rule game to create "balances of power", whereby the internationalist oligarchy keeps everyone else at each others' throats, in order to sustain and increase its own power. So, under Gladio, you had a number of strategic operations designed to worsen the Cold War, but also to make things harder with
African nations -- there were a lot of Gladio operations in
Africa for this purpose. One day, African historians will document extensively how Gladio was essential to start quite a few civil wars and international incidents, and advance the British scorched earth policy for devastating Africa.
4. Gladio today -- it's global.
From
Latino terrorism to Africa to the
Golden Triangle; not forgetting the
Golden Crescent,
Chechnya, and the jihadis set loose on the
Arab nightmare; British-sponsored terror groupings are setting the world ablaze, for the present phase of global conflict. At center stage, a tripolar balance of power: NATO/Russia/
China. At the sidelines, ethnic conflict, genocides, famine, underdevelopment, nation-state destruction, mini-states. What happened in former
Yugoslavia was a dress rehearsal for the
21st century, the City of London sponsored "century of change". It doesn't have to be this way.
Stand up for national sovereignty, economic development, protectionism, representative democracy.
5. Mr. Cottrell shouldn't go for anti-parliamentarian réthorique.
After studying Gladio, Mr. Cottrell should know that the power structure you have to dethrone is not in Congresses or Parliaments. It's in privatized networks, made up of private groups, mercenary gangs, rogue government agencies, leading up to investment banks and trust funds. If you destroy the legitimate structures of the
Renaissance nation-state, you just deliver ALL power to these rogue networks. To destroy the
Parliament, the sacrosanct act of
Hitler, is exactly what these people want. They can then fully be
Caesar and the sycophants.
You actually need to empower your
Congress/Parliament; not destroy it. If you want to have a representative democracy in the future, that is.
Otherwise, you'll just get the full victory of the neo-feudal oligarchy.
