Despite the rainy weather, quite a crowd gathered as Union Public Schools officially broke ground on the site of its 14th elementary school at 12000 E. 31st Street. Speakers included Superintendent Dr. Kirt Hartzler and Board of Education President Heather McAdams, as well as two students who have helped with the design process for the school, Trent Pierce (Boevers) and Cydney Marable (Briarglen).
