Union is the debut album of the American singer/songwriter Toni Childs. Released in 1988, the album peaked at #63 in the US (where it has since been certified Gold for sales of over 500,000 copies). It also peaked at #1 in New Zealand where it was certified 5x Platinum (75,000 copies sold).

The album was recorded in London, Paris, and Swaziland. Following its release, Childs was nominated for two Grammy Awards (for 'Best New Artist' and for 'Best Rock Vocal Performance (Female)' for the single "Don't Walk Away").

Union (Tambatra) is a political party in Madagascar. The party's candidate Pety Rakotoniaina won 1.68% in the December 2006 presidential election. Since the 23 September 2007 National Assembly elections it is no longer represented ij parliament

Harikrish Menon

Singer/songwriter HAZE (b. Harikrish Menon Ramachandran 2 June 1973, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) is known for his work in the dance music genre, with hit singles such as Changes and Freak.

Career

He began his professional career at R.A.P. (Roslan Aziz Production) a Malaysian record label owned by acclaimed music producer Roslan Aziz. He has since worked with many of Malaysia's top performing artist such as Sheila Majid, Ning Baizura, Amir Yusoff, Zainal Abidin, Sarifah Aini and Malaysian rap sensation Too Phat just to name a few. Besides producing for local Malaysian performing artist, he has also produced albums for many performing artist around the region. Artist such as Kris Dayanti of Indonesia and Singaporean rap sensation Haikel. Which has allowed him to develop a musical scope that covers across almost all genres. In the Mid 1990's he also performed with the band Asia Beat.

He was the first Malaysian to appear on the BBC UK Dance Singles Charts, for Changes. His single Freak made the Top 10 of the National Top 100 Singles chart in the Netherlands.

Haze (2010 film)

Haze (Turkish: Pus) is a 2010 Turkish drama film, directed by Tayfun Pirselimoğlu, starring Ruhi Sarı as a withdrawn young man who gets caught up with a shadowy criminal plot. The film, which went on nationwide general release across Turkey on May 28, 2010 (2010-05-28), premiered at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival (February 11–21, 2010).

Plot

Reşat, a withdrawn and asocial young man who works at a pirate DVD shop, represses his feelings for the girl next door, and adds excitement to his life with petty theft. The film turns into a thriller when the shadowy Celal, a friend of Reşat's boss, gets shot just after he leaves a package in the shop and Reşat has to make sense of the photo and the gun it contains.

Review

Hürriyet Daily News reviewer Emrah Güler describes the film as, "a story of people living on the edge," and recommends it to those, "who have enjoyed director and writer Pirselimoğlu’s human stories both on screen and in published novels," but not to those, "wanting to see an uplifting and entertaining movie on the weekend."

Haze (Cannabis)

Haze refers to a Cannabis sativa-dominant strain. Haze has low CBD and high THC content and is known for its psychedelic effects, sometimes referred to colloquially as "ampheta-weed" for their uplifting qualities. Because of its long flowering times (often double that of an indica based strain) and tall stature, haze is rarely seen in its pure form but instead is a popular choice for breeders and is the parent to many prized subset strains.

History

This Cannabis strain was originally bred in the 1970s in California and was taken to Amsterdam by David Paul Watson, also known as the Skunk man, to grow it for commercial breeding in the 1980s for the Cultivators Choice seed bank.

Genetics

The genetics of this strain are a combination of Sativas originally from Mexico, Colombia, Thailand and India. Most Haze strains have a long flowering period, being mainly cultivated in intertropical climates or indoor grow rooms.
