We appreciate the kind support of most of our subscribers. You all are the reason we have built this channel. As for the lonely self loathing trolls, we allow most of the negative comments to stand. We have friends who show how decent people conduct themselves and how considerate and appealing their personalities are. We also allow people to make fools of themselves. Aside form the purely disgusting comments that usually get spam filtered, It is entertaining to listen to the juvenile, highly agitated idiots who whine about things they know nothing of, there is actually a video (link below) that explains that this is a farm, and that this is not a public road and it's gated. Also there is a 400 foot wide, 14 foot high backstop with no neighbors on the other side. Even still, some of the guys watch an attractive woman in a bikini shooting a gun that they covet and they lose it and start with the insanity. Some will fly in the face of logic and reason to try to show that they are to only ones who should be shooting the gun. While it is kind of fun to listen to the highly agitated idiots whine about things they know nothing of, there is actually a video that explains that this is a farm, and that this is not a public road. Also there is a 400 foot wide, 14 foot high backstop with no neighbors on the other side. Even still some of the guys watch an attractive woman in a bikini shooting a gun that they covet and they lose it, they will fly in the face of evidence, logic and reason to try to show that they are to only ones who should be shooting the gun.
This is the the 1st look at Farm Girl shooting her 50 caliber with shells compared to 9 MM, .38 and .44 Colt. Farm Girl warms up by shooting the Kahr .380 and then shoots the S&W; .500 double-action revolver. She even shoots it one-handed. This is not the biggest handgun in the world but it is the largest production gun made.

Now I know quite well. :-)
Ammo used in this video was HSM .500 S&W; 350 Grain JHP.
I have some 400 grain Magtech soft point. They both kick really hard; I could not tell any difference.
PLEASE try to avoid revealing your ignorance about how the economy works and why there are people starving. If you think destroying these watermelons was "heartless" or contributing to somebody's starvation, I feel sorry for you. I suggest that even if you think this that you refrain from commenting to that effect; believe me, it just makes you look very ignorant. Sorry, but the truth hurts. :-)

But what has been surprising to me has been the volume of comments from males (and females) who say they would never shoot the Smith and Wesson Model 500. As with any firearm, it should be taken seriously and handled with caution, but that doesn't mean it should be feared. The .500 Magnum rounds have some mad kick, but that doesn't make the Model 500 uncontrollable. It just means that the shooter needs to exercise some extra force of grip, and use both hands. The experience of shooting the Model 500 reminds me of punching a weight bag. When you hit a punching bag, you can feel the impact where your fist connects the bag, but it travels up through your wrist, your arm, and your shoulder. The kick of the .500 Magnum is similar. When you shoot, you feel the recoil in your grip, but it also rocks back into your wrists and arms. I even feel the muscles in my shoulders and upper back tensing more with the extra effort that magnitude of recoil requires.
Now, what could be the use of a hand cannon like that? Other than, maybe bear hunting, or the occasional Godzilla sighting, I can't see a real practical application for the Model 500. I mean, the gun itself is a whopping 56oz (specifically the model with the 3" barrel and 1" compensator - the longer barreled models are even heavier), so toting it around is a chore in and of itself. Smith and Wesson calls it one of their "extra large" frame revolvers, and that is no exaggeration. If my hands were any smaller, it would be a real struggle just to manage all that grip real estate, even before firing a round.
My first few rounds through the beastly Smith, I only loaded one at a time (to prevent "double tapping" and accidentally firing a second round due to surprise of and inability of controlling the recoil). However, it's such a heavy firearm, that I need to take a second between shots, anyway, because my arms just plain tire out from keeping 3.5lbs steady at the end of my reach.
That being said, the experience of shooting the .500 Magnum is a thrilling one. One round is enough to get my adrenaline pumping and my heart racing. There's nothing quite like the thunderous BOOM the Model 500 erupts into when it sends a round downrange. The muzzle blast is equally massive, enough that it sends a small heatwave back toward the shooter that can be felt a couple of feet behind them. The combination of the strong kick, and the loud explosion each trigger pull causes is a great novelty shooting experience, and I think that's where the greatest strength of this handgun lies. Unless, of course, you do a lot of angry rhino hunting.

Watch this gun control with 49 year old Farm Girl shooting the Smith & Wesson .500. Exoman wanted to get her the .50 caliber for her 50th birthday present. It was a choice between this and the Desert Eagle. He decided to give it to her early. This is the biggest, most powerful handgun made and Farm Girl is shooting it one handed and making it look easy! She's running magnum 500 grain Hornady rounds though it and also some 325 grain ammo. The road is private and backed on the far side with a 10-12 foot high earth berm. This is the long version of this video. The slow motion shows the amazing force, recoil and muzzle flash but it's all just good fun for Farm Girl, wearing her wide eyed grin and keeping great gun control with 10 inch revolver. She has owned .44 magnums but having watched shooters like Jerry Miculek and Hickok45 shoot this 50 cal monster, she has always wanted to shoot it herself.

Shooting .50 caliber Smith and Wesson .500 The largest production hand gun made!
We appreciate the kind support of most of our subscribers. You all are the reason we have built this channel. As for the lonely self loathing trolls, we allow most of the negative comments to stand. We have friends who show how decent people conduct themselves and how considerate and appealing their personalities are. We also allow people to make fools of themselves. Aside form the purely disgusting comments that usually get spam filtered, It is entertaining to listen to the juvenile, highly agitated idiots who whine about things they know nothing of, there is actually a video (link below) that explains that this is a farm, and that this is not a public road and it's gated. Also there is a 400 foot wide, 14 foot high backstop with no neighbors on the other side. Even still, some of the guys watch an attractive woman in a bikini shooting a gun that they covet and they lose it and start with the insanity. Some will fly in the face of logic and reason to try to show that they are to only ones who should be shooting the gun. While it is kind of fun to listen to the highly agitated idiots whine about things they know nothing of, there is actually a video that explains that this is a farm, and that this is not a public road. Also there is a 400 foot wide, 14 foot high backstop with no neighbors on the other side. Even still some of the guys watch an attractive woman in a bikini shooting a gun that they covet and they lose it, they will fly in the face of evidence, logic and reason to try to show that they are to only ones who should be shooting the gun. This is the the 1st look at Farm Girl shooting her 50 caliber with shells compared to 9 MM, .38 and .44 Colt. Farm Girl warms up by shooting the Kahr .380 and then shoots the S&W; .500 double-action revolver. She even shoots it one-handed. But what has been surprising to me has been the volume of comments from males (and females) who say they would never shoot the Smith and Wesson Model 500. As with any firearm, it should be taken seriously and handled with caution, but that doesn't mean it should be feared. The .500 Magnum rounds have some mad kick, but that doesn't make the Model 500 uncontrollable. It just means that the shooter needs to exercise some extra force of grip, and use both hands. The experience of shooting the Model 500 reminds me of punching a weight bag. When you hit a punching bag, you can feel the impact where your fist connects the bag, but it travels up through your wrist, your arm, and your shoulder. The kick of the .500 Magnum is similar. When you shoot, you feel the recoil in your grip, but it also rocks back into your wrists and arms. I even feel the muscles in my shoulders and upper back tensing more with the extra effort that magnitude of recoil requires. Now, what could be the use of a hand cannon like that? Other than, maybe bear hunting, or the occasional Godzilla sighting, I can't see a real practical application for the Model 500. I mean, the gun itself is a whopping 56oz (specifically the model with the 3" barrel and 1" compensator - the longer barreled models are even heavier), so toting it around is a chore in and of itself. Smith and Wesson calls it one of their "extra large" frame revolvers, and that is no exaggeration. If my hands were any smaller, it would be a real struggle just to manage all that grip real estate, even before firing a round. My first few rounds through the beastly Smith, I only loaded one at a time (to prevent "double tapping" and accidentally firing a second round due to surprise of and inability of controlling the recoil). However, it's such a heavy firearm, that I need to take a second between shots, anyway, because my arms just plain tire out from keeping 3.5lbs steady at the end of my reach. That being said, the experience of shooting the .500 Magnum is a thrilling one. One round is enough to get my adrenaline pumping and my heart racing. There's nothing quite like the thunderous BOOM the Model 500 erupts into when it sends a round downrange. The muzzle blast is equally massive, enough that it sends a small heatwave back toward the shooter that can be felt a couple of feet behind them. The combination of the strong kick, and the loud explosion each trigger pull causes is a great novelty shooting experience, and I think that's where the greatest strength of this handgun lies. While it is kind of fun to listen to the highly agitated idiots whine about things they know nothing of, there is actually a video that explains that this is a farm, and that this is not a public road. Also there is a 400 foot wide, 14 foot high backstop with no neighbors on the other side. Even still some of the guys watch an attractive woman in a bikini shooting a gun that they covet and they lose it, they will fly in the face of evidence, logic and reason to try to show that they are to only ones who should be shooting the gun.
This is the the 1st look at Farm Girl shooting her 50 caliber with shells compared to 9 MM, .38 and .44 Colt. Farm Girl warms up by shooting the Kahr .380 and then shoots the S&W; .500 double-action revolver. She even shoots it one-handed. This is not the biggest handgun in the world but it is the largest production gun made.

But what has been surprising to me has been the volume of comments from males (and females) who say they would never shoot the Smith and Wesson Model 500. As with any firearm, it should be taken seriously and handled with caution, but that doesn't mean it should be feared. The .500 Magnum rounds have some mad kick, but that doesn't make the Model 500 uncontrollable. It just means that the shooter needs to exercise some extra force of grip, and use both hands. The experience of shooting the Model 500 reminds me of punching a weight bag. When you hit a punching bag, you can feel the impact where your fist connects the bag, but it travels up through your wrist, your arm, and your shoulder. The kick of the .500 Magnum is similar. When you shoot, you feel the recoil in your grip, but it also rocks back into your wrists and arms. I even feel the muscles in my shoulders and upper back tensing more with the extra effort that magnitude of recoil requires.
Now, what could be the use of a hand cannon like that? Other than, maybe bear hunting, or the occasional Godzilla sighting, I can't see a real practical application for the Model 500. I mean, the gun itself is a whopping 56oz (specifically the model with the 3" barrel and 1" compensator - the longer barreled models are even heavier), so toting it around is a chore in and of itself. Smith and Wesson calls it one of their "extra large" frame revolvers, and that is no exaggeration. If my hands were any smaller, it would be a real struggle just to manage all that grip real estate, even before firing a round.
My first few rounds through the beastly Smith, I only loaded one at a time (to prevent "double tapping" and accidentally firing a second round due to surprise of and inability of controlling the recoil). However, it's such a heavy firearm, that I need to take a second between shots, anyway, because my arms just plain tire out from keeping 3.5lbs steady at the end of my reach.
That being said, the experience of shooting the .500 Magnum is a thrilling one. One round is enough to get my adrenaline pumping and my heart racing. There's nothing quite like the thunderous BOOM the Model 500 erupts into when it sends a round downrange. The muzzle blast is equally massive, enough that it sends a small heatwave back toward the shooter that can be felt a couple of feet behind them. The combination of the strong kick, and the loud explosion each trigger pull causes is a great novelty shooting experience, and I think that's where the greatest strength of this handgun lies. Unless, of course, you do a lot of angry rhino hunting.

Out having fun, shooting Watermelons, pumpkins,2 liters, buckets, various water jugs, cinder blocks and a television too. and Just generally out having big fun with the Smith & Wesson 500 Performance Center Hunter, this particular revolver has a two tone finish, with an unfluted cylinder and a 7.5" barrel . The gun shoots the 500 S&W; Magnum round which is currently boasted as the world's current most powerful production revolver cartridge. Feel free to ask any questions, I sure had a blast filming this and it felt good to put several rounds downrange in an afternoon. I even shoot some of the big ole' 700 Gr. bullets at some stuff. This video is done in the spirit of my .460 S&W; Magnum plinking video with just a lot of random stuff getting shot at with one of the X-Frame revolvers.
