Third Eye Meaning
This chakra is governed by the 5th ray of "Concrete Knowledge." Our intuition and our ability to see with vision comes from here. It's the center of divine wisdom, the spiritual eye that seeks to see and know the truth in all things. From the sixth of the seven chakra symbols we close our physical eyes and look at the world from all aspects of self. Our intuition becomes our guide.
A healthy third eye gives us the power to perceive every reflection from the outer world, as a direct call for us to accept it as ours, heal and love it.
Blocks in this chakra cause us to become delusional, unimaginative, indifferent and to have poor memories. Worry is a big problem, spaced-out, and poor concentration also plague a person with a sick third eye chakra.

Third Eye Symptoms:
When this chakra - also known as the "3rd Eye" - is stimulated and opens up, you may have a tingling electrical sensation on your brow (or just sense a pressure). When you meditate your third eye may show itself to you without you even trying. However, if you consciously want to see it, you should, during meditation, concentrate on your third eye area (between your brows). However, you should not focus on this area too intensely. You just have to be aware of that area.
When you concentrate on your third eye area, you’ll start feeling a tingling sensation or a slight pressure/vibration in that area. This always means that the third eye chakra is awakening, no matter how small pressure/vibration you’re experiencing.
After some days, or even the same day of you trying to see the third eye, you may start seeing the colors of it. You may straight away become aware of your third eye, but that doesn’t happen often.
With the opening of your third eye chakra your sixth sense sharpens and you become more in tune with the universe. Your personal traits may not change much, but you’ll have a greater knowledge of this world and others.
How to know that you awakened your third eye?
You can be assured that your third eye is awakened if you close your eyes and can see:
White/blue/purple colours
Intense white dots
Black sky with numerous stars
The shape of the eye/square/circle/some other shape filled with blue or purple colour
These are all signs that you’ve awakened your third eye.
If you feel the pressure or some activity in your third eye chakra, that means that your third eye is being awakened and soon you’ll be able to see with it.
How long does it take to open the third eye?
It’s not a question of how long it takes to open. That’s a relative question. Technically if you think of the third eye seeing potential, actually strangely means the third is never 100% open, We use our main physical senses to see what is real. Rather it’s a skill, that a person can refined and develop over an entire lifetime.
What open means is: that a person considers the third eye to be reliable enough that they trust to what they see from it. That measure of trust varies greatly from person to person.
It’s important never to rush the process of learning the third eye. Don’t get lost in all the potential you see with an open third eye. With patience consolidate your practice into more concise routines. Otherwise in potential ideas will blend together to create something different and misleading.
Because we want to validate our third eye is open, people often share raw ideas and visions before they really have had the time to process them properly.
When talking with others, slow down and don’t overwhelm them with too much all at once otherwise
(1) What you experience gets distorted,
(2) People are pushed away from you to further isolate you
(3) You get frustrated in the break down of communication
(4) Frustration generates conflict and ironically more frustration that then limits your third eye absolutely.
(5) You end up taking it to places further away from a grounded and healthy life.
(6) You end up closing your third eye, because you cannot validate the potential you see.
Doubts disrupt, dispel and close the third eye very easily. Take the time to explore and be patient so you don’t push it too far from reality. Staying grounded is very important, when people get ungrounded, you lose trust and personal faith quickly. It’s fine to be excited, but many people will take your excitement the wrong way since they don’t trust their own truth. So share in a quieter manner and you will find people respond back in a stronger and more positive way.
It takes a life time to truly open the third eye. Patience and modesty allow you to take the time to work with your third eye at its own opening pace.

The third eye is a term we use for the sixth chakra. A chakra is a vortex point where the stream of consciousness of your higher self... what we call energy or prana, feeds into the human form. The physical body organizes itself around the blue print of your chakras and meridians. And the sixth chakra is located in-between and just above the eye brows. All though every chakra is involved in extrasensory perception, the sixth chakra is the chakra that is referred to as the seat of intuition. It is the chakra, which is associated with clairvoyance, precognition, out of body experiences, the ability to see auras, recognition, imagination, visualization, dreaming, perception and extrasensory perception. The third eye (also known as the inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric concept referring in part to the ajna (brow) chakra in certain dharmic spiritual traditions, in particular Hinduism. This concept was later adopted by Christian mystics and spiritualists as well as people from other religious faiths. It is also spoken of as the gate that leads within to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness. Among Christian mystics, the term is used in a broad sense to indicate a non-dualistic perspective. In New Age spirituality, the third eye may symbolize a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply personal spiritual or psychological significance. The third eye is often associated with visions, clairvoyance (which includes the ability to observe chakras and auras),precognition, and out-of-body experiences. People who have allegedly developed the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers.
According to Max Heindel's Rosicrucian writings, called Western Wisdom Teachings, the third eye is localized in the pituitary body and the pineal gland. It was said that in the far past, when man was in touch with the inner worlds, these organs were his means of ingress thereto.

When you meditate your third eye may show itself to you without you even trying. However, if you consciously want to see it, you should, during meditation, concentrate on your third eye area (between your brows). However, you should not focus on this area too intensely. You just have to be aware of that area. When you concentrate on your third eye area, you’ll start feeling a tingling sensation or a slight pressure/vibration in that area. This always means that the third eye chakra is awakening, no matter how small pressure/vibration you’re experiencing. After some days, or even the same day of you trying to see the third eye, you may start seeing the colors of it. You may straight away become aware of your third eye, but that doesn’t happen often. With the opening of your third eye chakra your sixth sense sharpens and you become more in tune with the universe. Your personal traits may not change much, but you’ll have a greater knowledge of this world and others. How to know that you awakened your third eye? You can be assured that your third eye is awakened if you close your eyes and can see: White/blue/purple colours Intense white dots Black sky with numerous stars The shape of the eye/square/circle/some other shape filled with blue or purple colour These are all signs that you’ve awakened your third eye. If you feel the pressure or some activity in your third eye chakra, that means that your third eye is being awakened and soon you’ll be able to see with it. How long does it take to open the third eye? It’s not a question of how long it takes to open. That’s a relative question. Technically if you think of the third eye seeing potential, actually strangely means the third is never 100% open, We use our main physical senses to see what is real. Rather it’s a skill, that a person can refined and develop over an entire lifetime. What open means is: that a person considers the third eye to be reliable enough that they trust to what they see from it. That measure of trust varies greatly from person to person. It’s important never to rush the process of learning the third eye. Don’t get lost in all the potential you see with an open third eye. With patience consolidate your practice into more concise routines. Otherwise in potential ideas will blend together to create something different and misleading. Because we want to validate our third eye is open, people often share raw ideas and visions before they really have had the time to process them properly. When talking with others, slow down and don’t overwhelm them with too much all at once otherwise (1) What you experience gets distorted, (2) People are pushed away from you to further isolate you (3) You get frustrated in the break down of communication (4) Frustration generates conflict and ironically more frustration that then limits your third eye absolutely. (5) You end up taking it to places further away from a grounded and healthy life. (6) You end up closing your third eye, because you cannot validate the potential you see. Doubts disrupt, dispel and close the third eye very easily. Take the time to explore and be patient so you don’t push it too far from reality. Staying grounded is very important, when people get ungrounded, you lose trust and personal faith quickly. It’s fine to be excited, but many people will take your excitement the wrong way since they don’t trust their own truth. So share in a quieter manner and you will find people respond back in a stronger and more positive way. It takes a life time to truly open the third eye. When you meditate your third eye may show itself to you without you even trying. However, if you consciously want to see it, you should, during meditation, concentrate on your third eye area (between your brows). However, you should not focus on this area too intensely. You just have to be aware of that area.
When you concentrate on your third eye area, you’ll start feeling a tingling sensation or a slight pressure/vibration in that area. This always means that the third eye chakra is awakening, no matter how small pressure/vibration you’re experiencing.
After some days, or even the same day of you trying to see the third eye, you may start seeing the colors of it. You may straight away become aware of your third eye, but that doesn’t happen often.
With the opening of your third eye chakra your sixth sense sharpens and you become more in tune with the universe. Your personal traits may not change much, but you’ll have a greater knowledge of this world and others.
How to know that you awakened your third eye?
You can be assured that your third eye is awakened if you close your eyes and can see:
White/blue/purple colours
Intense white dots
Black sky with numerous stars
The shape of the eye/square/circle/some other shape filled with blue or purple colour
These are all signs that you’ve awakened your third eye.
If you feel the pressure or some activity in your third eye chakra, that means that your third eye is being awakened and soon you’ll be able to see with it.
How long does it take to open the third eye?
It’s not a question of how long it takes to open. That’s a relative question. Technically if you think of the third eye seeing potential, actually strangely means the third is never 100% open, We use our main physical senses to see what is real. Rather it’s a skill, that a person can refined and develop over an entire lifetime.
What open means is: that a person considers the third eye to be reliable enough that they trust to what they see from it. That measure of trust varies greatly from person to person.
It’s important never to rush the process of learning the third eye. Don’t get lost in all the potential you see with an open third eye. With patience consolidate your practice into more concise routines. Otherwise in potential ideas will blend together to create something different and misleading.
Because we want to validate our third eye is open, people often share raw ideas and visions before they really have had the time to process them properly.
When talking with others, slow down and don’t overwhelm them with too much all at once otherwise
(1) What you experience gets distorted,
(2) People are pushed away from you to further isolate you
(3) You get frustrated in the break down of communication
(4) Frustration generates conflict and ironically more frustration that then limits your third eye absolutely.
(5) You end up taking it to places further away from a grounded and healthy life.
(6) You end up closing your third eye, because you cannot validate the potential you see.
Doubts disrupt, dispel and close the third eye very easily. Take the time to explore and be patient so you don’t push it too far from reality. Staying grounded is very important, when people get ungrounded, you lose trust and personal faith quickly. It’s fine to be excited, but many people will take your excitement the wrong way since they don’t trust their own truth. So share in a quieter manner and you will find people respond back in a stronger and more positive way.
It takes a life time to truly open the third eye. Patience and modesty allow you to take the time to work with your third eye at its own opening pace.

The third eye is a term we use for the sixth chakra. A chakra is a vortex point where the stream of consciousness of your higher self... what we call energy or prana, feeds into the human form. Meditation is the art of mastering the mind through the development and strengthening of one’s awareness. Being that the subconscious mind is constantly dumping thoughts at random into the conscious mind and can hijack one’s consciousness and attention, it is critical that one develop their capacity to master their mind so that they can steer it in the direction they truly want.
As the barriers between the subconscious and conscious mind are gradually dissolved through the act of meditation, one progressively gains more and more of a leash over their consciousness, which in turn enables them to direct their will power more precisely into what they truly aim to accomplish with their life.
Being that our mind/brain is constantly in action in both our waking lives and dreaming lives, it is an organ of the body that is typically deprived of enough time to be rested and rejuvenated. In meditation, one seeks to relax the mind through putting one’s awareness and intention on stillness. In this state one allows themselves to stop their thoughts and worries and just be at peace for the meditations duration. If and when thoughts arise during meditation, it is the meditator’s mission to not engage in the thought, but to view it from a third person perspective without identifying with it.
Through the practice of this act, one gains more mastery over the subconscious mind and as well as a better perspective on their own undesirable mental programs that may be running like a feedback loop. As one progresses in meditation and the mind acquires more and more stillness, tension in the mind from over-active thinking is reduced and the grey matter of the brain becomes more soft and flexible. In turn the pineal gland which sits in the center of the right and left hemispheres of the brain is enabled to function with greater energetic receptivity and transmutation.

Symptoms and Side Effects of Opening You Third Eye Chakra - What will happen After Third Eye Awakening and what are the signs of an open third eye? The third eye chakra, or Ajna Chakra in Sanskrit, is our connection to our spirituality and is located between your eyebrows. Third eye meditation can helps you open and activate this chakra. But before you start your third eye awakening, you should take some time to learn more about this chakra and what you can expect from opening it and what you need to be aware of. So here are a couple of things many people have reported experiencing after opening their third eye, and the signs you can look for is you have already opened your third eye, both good and bad.
What Will Happen After Opening The Third Eye Chakra
Many people have experienced hearing a loud popping sound from inside the middle of their head when they first open their third eye chakra. This is believed to be the opening and activation of the pineal gland. The pineal gland is a small hormone-producing gland that is connected to the third eye and is what regulates our sleep rhythm and releases melatonin.
A very normal side effect of opening the third eye is an intense pressure on your forehead and you may feel a consistent tingling or vibrating sensation on the third eye that can stay for days after opening the third eye chakra. This is only a sign that the meditation has worked and your third eye is awakening. This will go away within days, so don't worry.
People often times experience symptoms directed to their vision and they begin seeing unexplainable things not from this world. This is what you need to be prepared for, as it will be a frightening experience if you are not properly informed and did not prepare yourself for this. One of the things you may see are paranormal entities or what we call spirits of those who have passed. You can develop clairvoyance and the ability to communicate with spirits. Some people see other beings not of this world, and could be creatures of other dimensions or what religion might refer to as demons. No matter what type of entity you may encounter, it will be a very overwhelming experience, and for some people it starts to feel like insanity and something they have a difficult time shutting out.
This is why opening the third eye is something you should prepare yourself for, so that you know what you are dealing with and what you can expect. This means that you have to be patient and take some time learning about the third eye before you actually try opening it... it will greatly benefit you in the end.
So to some of the more positive sides of opening the third eye is your increased ability to develop your psychic abilities and many people have reported experiencing astral travel, seeing auras and a greatly improved intuition.
Other symptoms of an open third eye chakra is more subtle. You will for instance improve your awareness and notice more things around you that were only background elements to you before. You step out of the state of autopilot, where you just go through your day not noticing or paying attention to anything.
Some describe a state of objectiveness where you are not blinded by your eyesight and the illusions and lies your eyes fall a victim to, but you will be able to see things more clearly and sense the truth and reality that is difficult to put into words. This could be a sign that your intuition or sixth sense is improving.
A lot of people say they see lights or colors while meditating, and this is just a sign that your chakra is activating. At some point they may even start to see pictures in their minds eye when they meditate, which in the beginning are very unclear and like a blurry image. Opening your third eye is important in developing extrasensory perception and improving your psychic powers such as: how to see the future, astral projection, telepathy and precognition.
In the brain the Pineal gland is responsible for regulating our more primitive survival based urges including thirst, hunger and sexual desire. It also plays an important role as the pacemaker for our biological clock.
