Jet Ski is the brand name of a personal watercraft manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries. The name is sometimes mistakenly used by those unfamiliar with the personal watercraft industry to refer to any type of personal watercraft; however, the name is a valid trademark registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and in many other countries. The term "Jet Ski" (or JetSki, often shortened to "Ski") is often mis-applied to all personal watercraft with pivoting handlepoles manipulated by a standing rider; these are properly known as Stand-up PWCs. The term is often mistakenly used when referring to WaveRunners, but WaveRunner is actually the name of the Yamaha line of sit-down PWCs, whereas "Jet Ski" refers to the Kawasaki line. Recently, a third type has also appeared, where the driver sits in the seiza (i.e. kneeling) position. This type has been pioneered by Silveira Customs with their "Samba".
In 1929 a one-man standing unit called the "Skiboard" was developed, guided by the operator standing and shifting his weight while holding on to a rope on the front, similar to a powered surfboard. While somewhat popular when it was first introduced in the late 1920s, the 1930s sent it into oblivion.[citation needed]

A ski is narrow strip of wood, plastic, metal or combination thereof worn underfoot to glide over snow. Substantially longer than wide and characteristically employed in pairs, skis are attached to boots with bindings, either with a free, lockable, or permanently secured heel.
Originally intended as an aid to travel over snow they are now mainly used recreationally in the sport of skiing.
Skis are also fitted to vehicles dedidcated to traveling over snow such as snowmobiles and snowcats.
The Nordic ski technology was adapted during the early twentieth century to enable skiers to turn at higher speeds. Ski nomenclature is relatively simple. Examining the ski from front to back along the direction of travel, the front of the ski (typically pointed or rounded) is the "tip", the middle is the "waist" and the rear (typically flat) is the "tail".

Dynamic self righting - while in motion Thrasher is balanced to find right side up
Static self righting - if Thrasher comes to rest upside down, water will enter Thrasher's hull from the top. Once enough water has entered the hull, Thrasher will roll over allowing the pilot to navigate Thrasher back to shore to remove excess water
Waterproof and completely sealed Electronic Speed Controller (ESC)
Waterproof and completely sealed receiver (units that include controller)
Cool Running - dual path, high pressure (from the jet pump) cooling with a dedicated cooling line for the ESC and a dedicated cooling line for the brushless motor

Sammy Carlson, places himself in the record books as the first skier to hit a “ski-flying” long jump with freestyle intent. Carlson not only spun himself from the lip of a jump designed to send skiers upwards of 500 feet, but began several of many descents into the jump switch.
Built in 1970, the ski jump, known as Copper Peak, is the largest ski jump in the Western Hemisphere. Located on Michigan’s upper peninsula and along the shores of Lake Superior, the 24 story, 300-ton steel structure is named for the mineral deposits unearthed during its construction (a 140-pound copper nugget was discovered near the present-day judge’s stand). The ramp itself claims 364-feet of vertical drop and a 35-degree in-run, providing for jumps with distance records stretching over 500 feet.
“When we showed up it was a ghost ramp. It not been hit in twenty years,” declares Carlson. “The people helping me from the community where just as committed as I was to hitting the ramp. It was true team effort.”
The film shares nearly two years of unthinkable freestyle skiing progression, with features, locations and cinematography to rival the groundbreaking segment released today. “The jump is truly enormous,” says TGR co-founder Steve Jones. “Hitting a gap this big in general takes significant confidence and skill, not to mention spinning from its lip or dropping in switch. Sammy is unbeatable when it comes to skiing like this.”

Travel tale. I can safely say that my backpacking trip to Thailand last year was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. As I had seen most of the countries in South East Asia but had missed visiting Thailand, the travel bug in me craved to inhale the Thai culture and I went there in September ... We enjoyed scuba diving and the other water games like jet ski and parasailing on whichever beach we visited ... ....
