Lauren Hutton (born November 17, 1943) is an American model and actress. Hutton notably appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine on 28 occasions and earned more than any other model within a decade-long period.
Hutton was born Mary Laurence Hutton in Charleston, South Carolina, United States. Her parents divorced when she was young. After her mother remarried, her last name was changed to her stepfather's name, "Hall", although he never formally adopted her. She graduated from Chamberlain High School in Tampa, Florida in 1961, and was among the first students to attend the University of South Florida in 1961.
Hutton later relocated with former Tampa disc jockey Pat Chamburs, 19 years her senior, to New York City, where she worked at the Playboy Club. The pair later moved to New Orleans, where she attended Newcomb College, then a coordinate college within Tulane University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1964.
Hutton returned to New York, changed her name to "Lauren Hutton", and became a popular fashion model, "cover girl" (appearing on the front cover of Vogue magazine a record 41 times) and commercial spokesperson. She was advised to correct the slight gap in her teeth and tried using morticians' wax to cover the gap, cutting a line in the middle of it; this was followed by the use of a cap, which she would often swallow, laugh out or misplace. Hutton eventually retained this "imperfection" and the All Movie Guide stated that it "gave her on-camera persona a down-home sensibility that other, more ethereal models lacked."
Hutton may refer to:
Calvin Klein Inc. is an American fashion house founded by the fashion designer Calvin Klein. The company is headquartered in Midtown Manhattan, New York City and is currently owned by PVH.
In 1968, Klein founded Calvin Klein Limited, a coat shop in the York Hotel in New York City, with $10,000. The first Calvin Klein collection was a line of "youthful, understated coats and dresses" featured at the New York City store, Bonwit Teller.
In September 1969, Klein appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine.
By 1971, Klein had added sportswear, classic blazers, and lingerie to his women's collection.
In 1973, he received his first Coty American Fashion Critics' Award for his 74-piece womenswear collection - the youngest recipient at that time. Klein won the award again in 1974 and 1975. By 1977, annual revenues had increased to $30 million (equivalent to $117 million in 2016), and Klein had licenses for scarves, shoes, belts, furs, sunglasses, and sheets. Klein and Schwartz were making $4 million each. After the company signed licenses for cosmetics, jeans, and menswear, Klein's annual retail volume was estimated at $100 million (equivalent to $390 million in 2016). In 1978, Klein claimed sales of 200,000 pairs of his famous jeans the first week they were on the market. By 1981, Fortune figured Klein's annual income at $8.5 million a year. In the mid-1970s, he had created a designer-jeans craze by putting his name on the back pocket. Klein's design assistant at the time, Jeffrey Banks, has claimed credit for the logo garments, stating that he had the logo from a press folder silkscreened onto the sleeve of a brown T-shirt as a present for Klein. The gift was assumed by Schwartz to be part of the upcoming line, and similar logo shirts formed the uniform for the front-of-house staff at Klein's next catwalk show, leading to buyer demand.
Lauren may be a given name or surname. The name's meaning may be "Laurel tree", "sweet of honor" or "victory of wisdom". Can also be derived from "laurel" in Latin meaning "seer of second sight" or gift of prophecy as well as immortality, and superior intelligence.

She received the 1952 Theatre World Award for her role in The Chase (1952), and starred in the Broadway productions of Picnic (1953) and Bus Stop (1955). Stanley was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play for her roles in A Touch of the Poet (1959) and A Far Country (1962).
In the 1950s, Stanley was a prolific performer in television, and later progressed to film, with a well-received performance in The Goddess (1959). Originally aired 11/2/95. One thing I liked about this interview is that Lauren Hutton was very respectful and asked good questions and she actually looked like she cared about the answers. Usually when Anna is interviewed, it was all about making fun of her. This was very refreshing. I'm sorry about the fuzzy audio, it was my VCR at the time.
The beautiful Lauren Hutton is stunning on the runway and brilliant in front of the camera. The Velvet Circle talks to the actress, model, and activist at the Be Eco Chic Fashion Show in New York.
Lauren Hutton, later an actress but at this time "a bunny at the New York Playboy Club", appears as an impostor on a 1963 episode of "To Tell the Truth" with host Bud Collyer and panelists Tom Poston, Betty White, Orson Bean, and Kitty Carlisle. Lauren and her fellow impostor Melba Tolliver are impersonating Lulu Porter, a nightclub singer who had been chosen by the Department of State to represent the US at the "Third International Song Festival" in Sopot, Poland, where she won the award for "best performer". After the game Ms. Porter sings a brief phrase from the song with which she won. I haven't been able to find a lot on the Web about Lulu Porter but I think this is her singing a few years later on "Hollywood a Go-Go": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA6cAUATA6w She seems to have ...
