Guess what?: Ridho Rhoma
sings pop with Malaysian
actress

Dangdut prince Ridho Rhoma will record a film soundtrack number with Malaysian actress Nur Fazura Sharifuddin.

Ridho said that the project was a good opportunity in his career as he was determined to explore music styles outside of the dangdut genre.

“It’s a pop song with a bit of a dangdut vibe,” said Ridho as quoted by tribunnews.com on Monday.

“This is my next step to becoming an accomplished artist, not only a dangdut musician.”

The eldest son of Indonesian dangdut legend Rhoma Irama is known for his vocal techniques that combine dangdut with jazz influences.

The duet with Fazura will be used in the soundtrack of Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika (Split Moon in the America Sky), a new film by Rizal Mantovani.

Fazura was one of the cast members, along with Abimana Aryasatya and Acha Septriasa.

“It was a bit hard at first to sing the song because of the language and tone, but I have practiced for a few days,” said Fazura.
