Plot: In 2003 author John Pearson interviews elderly John Burke and Susie Maxwell-Scott for his book 'The Gamblers', centering on the Clermont Club, a Mayfair casino run by ruthless zoo keeper John Aspinall some thirty years earlier. Lucan 's chief client is John Bingham, Lord Lucan, ironically nicknamed Lucky due to his consistent losing streak. When Lucan's long-suffering wife Veronica protests at his profligacy he is violent and, under Aspinall's malign influence, tries - and fails - to discredit Veronica's sanity to gain custody of their children after their divorce. Whilst Veronica delights in the friendship of her nanny Sandra Rivett Lucan, once more led on by Aspinall, arrives at Veronica's house with murder in mind but, in the dark, accidentally kills Sandra, rather than intended victim Veronica. Realizing his mistake he attacks Veronica but she escapes and seeks help in a pub from where she is taken to hospital. As Lucan goes on the run Aspinall summons fellow club members and insists they close ranks to help the fugitive but the fair-minded Dominic Elwes refuses and writes an article putting Veronica's case and showing up the Clermont members for what they are. As a result he is made a social pariah and commits suicide. Meanwhile Lucan, in his absence, is found guilty of killing Sandra and attacking Veronica. In 2003 the dying Susie Maxwell-Scott summons John Pearson and tells him she believes that Aspinall got Lucan to Switzerland though she also considers that Aspinall persuaded Lucan to return to England to see his children and threw him over the side of the boat to prevent further disgrace. Veronica surmises that Lucan killed himself but both are of the opinion that his corpse lies in the English Channel.

Plot: "Irish Eyes" explores the relationship between two Irish-American brothers in Boston born to immigrant parents and raised in a rough, working class Irish neighborhood. After watching their father being gunned down in front of their eyes as children, Thomas and Sean Phelan grow up building their lives on opposite ends of the law. Thomas, the studious and responsible brother, creates a better life for himself through education and hard, honest work. Eventually, he builds a successful career as a US Attorney. Sean, the more rebellious of the two, gets caught up in a life of crime and rises through the ranks to become the head of the Irish Mob. Spanning from post World War II during the late 1950's through the Irish Mob wars of the 1970's and culminating in their adulthood in the 1990's, the story is set to the backdrop of backroom politics and the realities of the Irish Mob and it's gang wars. The theme of the film simultaneously addresses the similarities between the two factions of law and crime while revealing the similarities between the two brothers.

Plot: Why are we here, what's it all about? The Monty Python-team is trying to sort out the most important question on Earth: what is the meaning of life? They do so by exploring the various stages of life, starting with birth. A doctor seems more interested in his equipment than in delivering the baby or caring for the mother, a Roman Catholic couple have quite a lot of children because 'every sperm is sacred'. In the growing and learning part of life, catholic schoolboys attend a rather strange church service and ditto sex education lesson. Onto war, where an officer's plan to attack is thwarted by his underlings wanting to celebrate his birthday and an officer's leg is bitten off by presumably an African tiger. At middle age a couple orders 'philosophy' at a restaurant, after which the film continues with live organ transplants. The autumn years are played in a restaurant, which, after being treated to the song 'Isn't It Awfully Nice to Have a Penis?' by an entertainer, sees the arrival of an extremely fat man. He can eat a lot, but also throw up quite copiously. The Grim Reaper brings for the final stage of human life, death, a visit to a mansion, where the people are rather interested in him. But life doesn't stop at death. It's onto heaven, where it's always Christmas.

This tiny place I live in Harlem
Oh heaven we have a problem
Cuz we lost all correspondence
And there's no more prophets
They've all been replaced with politics
And they have your people hostage
That's why I'm sending you this postage
If you're listening Mr. UFO man
Speak to Jesus tell him we're on earth and
Things are worse than they have ever been now
Father, it's urgent we need u
Come down
Hey now
You're my father
And I don't know what's out there
So many of us are scared
Hey now
We got people shooting people
We live in warface
I'm not talking nuclear
I ain't got there yet
Why we got intelligent mouths
on Larry King with religious doubts
While the rabbi and minister fuss
Shit, another one bites the dust
So the yellow red black and white
Send missiles in the dark of night
Probably wanna stop but don't know how
That's why Lord, we really need you now
If you're listening Mr. UFO man
Speak to Jesus tell him we're on earth and
Things are worse than they have ever been now
Father, it's urgent we need u
Come down
People around if you feel our vibe ride
Come on aboard there's enough room inside
We're flying high where heaven hides
Hope I see you on the other side
If you're listening Mr. UFO man
