A TRANSGENDER couple have found love despite them both being born the opposite gender. Jasmine Merino and boyfriend Ryan Said say they are treated like any other couple and plan to marry and have kids some day. Ryan, 24, has been living as a man for four years, and Jasmine, 18 started transitioning two years ago. And despite not undergoing full gender reassignment surgery they say their sex life is great after learning to adapt.

Eri Hayward was born as a boy in Utah and raised in the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Filmmaker Torben Bernhard shot this poignant short, Transmormon, just before Eri flew to Thailand for sexual reassignment surgery. In the piece, she and her family talk about the long and often painful journey it took to recognize and embrace her transgender identity and the role their faith played along the way. "Being LDS was our life," she says. "It's one of the reasons I didn't find out about what being trans was until I was an adult."

On the surface, the Jennings and their four children are a typical American family. But when "20/20" first interviewed them, their youngest child, a kindergartener named Jazz, was already one of the youngest known cases of an early transition from male to female.
From the moment he could speak, Jazz made it clear he wanted to wear a dress. At only 15 months, he would unsnap his onesies to make it look like a dress. When his parents praised Jazz as a "good boy," he would correct them, saying he was a good girl.

Transgender (

The precise definition for transgender remains in flux, but includes:

Eri Hayward was born as a boy in Utah and raised in the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Filmmaker Torben Bernhard shot this poignant short, Transmormon, just before Eri flew to Thailand for sexual reassignment surgery. On the surface, the Jennings and their four children are a typical American family. But when "20/20" first interviewed them, their youngest child, a kindergartener named Jazz, was already one of the youngest known cases of an early transition from male to female.
From the moment he could speak, Jazz made it clear he wanted to wear a dress. At only 15 months, he would unsnap his onesies to make it look like a dress. When his parents praised Jazz as a "good boy," he would correct them, saying he was a good girl.

But since becoming a woman called Brittney Kade, the blonde 17-year-old's confidence has soared and she now has dreams of becoming a model and finding love. Brittney, from southern California, said: “Before becoming Brittney my life was so miserable but now I’m feeling positive about the future and I would love to find someone to spend my life with. “I dream of becoming a model and showing the bullies that they haven’t broken me.”

Seventeen-year-old Arin raised a girl called Emerald, while Katie, 19, was born as a boy called Luke. Last year Katie had a £25,000 sex change surgery to turn her into a woman - and now Arin has followed his dream to have a flat, male chest. Since beginning a course of testosterone injections a year ago, Arin has been working out in the gym to create a muscular body. But until now he constantly had to wear a chest binder to conceal his breasts. However, the former child beauty queen can finally go topless on the beach thanks to the three-hour, £6,000 operation. The sweethearts met through a support group for young transsexuals in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, two years ago.

You should be able to wear a dress if you want to. You should be able to grow your hair out and use makeup as well. People who are born female should be able to shave their hair, trash their makeup and wear whatever outfits biologically born males wear if they choose.
People say being trans is weird... but what does it have to do with their lives? Why are they attacking the lifestyle of people who are honest with themselves and others, accepting both themselves and others.
