Paris airport taxis now subject to flat fees

Latest update : 2016-03-01
As of Tuesday March 1, Paris taxis taking passengers to and from the French capital’s main airports – Orly and Charles de Gaulle – are obliged to charge a fixed fee.
The changes, which were announced in May 2015, end what has until now been a lottery with some passengers paying up to 80 euros for the trip.
The new fares are:
• 50 euros between Charles de Gaulle Airport and the Right (north) Bank of the Seine.
• 55 euros between Charles de Gaulle Airport and the Left (south) Bank of the Seine.
• 30 euros between Orly Airport and the Left Bank.
• 35 euros between Orly Airport and the Right Bank.
Furthermore, taxis will no longer be able to apply top-up fares for baggage or pets, although a fifth passenger will incur a four-euro charge.
Reservations are also fixed, at four euros for an immediate booking, and seven euros for an advanced booking.
