Billy Jack is a 1971 action/drama independent film; the second of four films centering on a character of the same name which began with the movie The Born Losers (1967), played by Tom Laughlin, who directed and co-wrote the script. Filming began in Prescott, Arizona, in the fall of 1969, but the movie was not completed until 1971. American International Pictures pulled out, halting filming. 20th Century-Fox came forward and filming eventually resumed but when that studio refused to distribute the film, Warner Bros. stepped forward.
Still, the film lacked distribution, so Laughlin booked it in to theaters himself in 1971. The film died at the box office in its initial run, but eventually took in more than $40 million in its 1973 re-release, with distribution supervised by Laughlin.
Billy Jack is a "half-breed" American Navajo Indian, a Green Beret Vietnam War veteran, and a hapkido master. The character made his début in The Born Losers (1967), a "biker film" about a motorcycle gang terrorizing a California town. Billy Jack rises to the occasion to defeat the gang when defending a college student with evidence against them for gang rape.

Robert Owens Tiernan (February 24, 1929 – October 15, 2014) was an American lawyer and politician from Rhode Island. He served in the Rhode Island State Senate and was a member of the United States House of Representatives.
Tiernan was born in Providence, Rhode Island and attended La Salle Academy. He earned his A.B. from Providence College in 1953 and his J.D. from Catholic University Law School in 1956. He was admitted to the bar in 1956 and began practicing law.
He began his political career as a Democratic member of the Rhode Island State Senate in 1960 and served until 1967. In 1967, he was elected to the Ninetieth Congress by special election to fill the vacancy caused by the death of United States Representative John E. Fogarty. He was reelected to the Ninety-first, Ninety-second and Ninety-third Congresses, serving from March 28, 1967 to January 3, 1975. He was an unsuccessful candidate for renomination to the Ninety-fourth Congress in 1974.
Robert Rayford (February 3, 1953 – May 15 or May 16, 1969), sometimes identified as Robert R. due to his age, was an American teenager from Missouri who is thought to have had the earliest case of HIV/AIDS in North America. Rayford's death was a mystery to doctors who could not account for his symptoms. The cause of his death remained unidentified until 1987.
In early 1968, a 15-year-old African-American teenager named Robert Rayford admitted himself to Barnes-Jewish Hospital (then called Barnes Hospital) in St. Louis, Missouri. His legs and genitals were covered in warts and sores. He also had severe swelling of the testicles and pelvic region, which later spread to his legs, causing a misdiagnosis of lymphedema. He had grown thin and pale and suffered from shortness of breath. Rayford told the doctors that he had had these symptoms since at least late 1966. Tests discovered a severe chlamydia infection. Rayford declined a rectal examination request from hospital personnel. Doctors treating Rayford suspected that he was homosexual, bisexual, or had engaged in receptive anal intercourse.

Watch this fantastic and amusing presentation by Bill Jack of Answers in Genesis. He explains how Christians can use four simple questions to effectively engage secular humanists. Trust me, if you are a Christian and even thinking about evangelizing to a person who holds a secular humanist worldview, then you need to be armed with a working strategy. If you don't you will most likely fail miserably. The strategy presented here is effective at getting people to think. This was definitely one of those times. But trust in your abilities and work as a team and you will see it slowly come together. We now have a tapered mainmast and two awesome looking dragons to oversee the rest of the construction. Family taught him right from wrong,
Local tales and children's songs,
Sunday school was his shelter,
With his friends Joe and Walter,
Now those days so far away,
An empty swing where he once played,
Now he's got so fat and bald,
He never thought that he'd grow old.
Everyday when he gets the train
Looks out the window and he thinks in vain
If I could only be that boy again
He's got a sales job and it gets him down
Same old faces, same old sounds
Heart attacks, orthopaedic backs
Documents and labelled racks
His wife can't stand the sight of him
With his routine glass of gin
She makes his lunch of processed ham
And waits in for the meter man
Everyday when he gets the train
looks out the window and he thinks in vain
If I could only be that boy again
(Take it away Bill)
He could be that boy again
Another day, another gin
His kids don't even notice him
Something different about his face
His happy smile seems out of place
Family gathered round for tea
Eyes fixed on the new telly
A news flash came and then it said
Bill McCai was just found dead
No more windows, no more trains
Hung himself out in the rain
Now he'll never be that boy again
And we say...
Bye, bye Bill Mccai
