You will learn about "Air Pollution" in this video. Cutting of trees is one of the major reasons of air pollution. Air also gets polluted due to the smoke released by many factories and industries. Burning of wood and fossil fuels is another reason of air pollution. Also, vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks etc. give out a lot of smoke that pollutes the air. Due to air pollution, human beings suffer from a number of diseases like asthma, bronchitis, cancer, skin diseases etc.
Air pollution also affects the growth of plants and causes damage to our beautiful historical monuments. As responsible citizens, it is necessary to take up some preventive measures to reduce air pollution and its effects. We must plant more trees, avoid bursting firecrackers, make more use of public transport and ensure that regular servicing of our vehicles is done. Lastly, factories and power plants should also be set up far from residential areas, which will help in reducing air pollution.

Air pollution is a global pandemic that's underway. It's a major health challenge yet nobody talks about it. It affects everyone but we usually ignore it cause we can't actually "see" it. Now it's time to talk about it and find a way to solve it together.
Romain Lacombe just stepped down as Head of Innovation and Development of Etalab (data.gouv.fr), the French Prime Minister’s task force for Open Government Data, which he helped create in 2011 after authoring a seminal report on Open Data’s potential for France.
At Etalab, Romain focused on policy delivery, startups outreach and international relations, representing his country in G8 Open Data Charter technical negotiations in 2013 and coordinating France’s recent adhesion to the Open Government Partnership.
A former Silicon Valley entrepreneur, environmental researcher and World Bank consultant, Romain graduated in physics, applied mathematics and economics from Ecole Polytechnique and holds a MS in Technology Policy from MIT where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He is now launching an Internet of Things startup for greener cities.

Vehicles release chemicals in the form of exhaust fumes. These chemicals are very harmful to the environment. These gases also cause acid rain which is also very damaging to the Earth.
Many industries release a lot of fumes which are harmful for the environment.
Refrigerators and air conditioners release chemicals called chlorofluorocarbons which over time, lead to the formation of holes in the ozone layer. These holes let the ultraviolet rays of the sun reach the earth and thus cause various health problems for humans.

Air pollution
Air pollution is the introduction of particulates, biological molecules, or other harmful materials into Earth's atmosphere, causing diseases, death to humans, damage to other living organisms such as animals and food crops, or the natural or built environment. Air pollution may come from anthropogenic or natural sources.
The atmosphere is a complex natural gaseous system that is essential to support life on planet Earth. Stratospheric ozone depletion due to air pollution has been recognized as a threat to human health as well as to the Earth's ecosystems.
Indoor air pollution and urban air quality are listed as two of the world's worst toxic pollution problems in the 2008 Blacksmith Institute World's Worst Polluted Places report. According to the 2014 WHO report, air pollution in 2012 caused the deaths of around 7 million people worldwide.
Pollutants
An air pollutant is a substance in the air that can have adverse effects on humans and the ecosystem. The substance can be solid particles, liquid droplets, or gases. A pollutant can be of natural origin or man-made. Pollutants are classified as primary or secondary. Primary pollutants are usually produced from a process, such as ash from a volcanic eruption. Other examples include carbon monoxide gas from motor vehicle exhaust, or the sulfur dioxide released from factories. Secondary pollutants are not emitted directly. Rather, they form in the air when primary pollutants react or interact. Ground level ozone is a prominent example of a secondary pollutant. Some pollutants may be both primary and secondary: they are both emitted directly and formed from other primary pollutants.

A former Silicon Valley entrepreneur, environmental researcher and World Bank consultant, Romain graduated in physics, applied mathematics and economics from Ecole Polytechnique and holds a MS in Technology Policy from MIT where he was a Fulbright Scholar. He is now launching an Internet of Things startup for greener cities.

Come 2030 and fuels we use today would have made air so toxic with pollutants that it would be close to impossible to live and move without oxygen kit as a permanent burden and part of lifestyle....
