Chidambaram (Tamil: சிதம்பரம்) is a fast growing industrial city in eastern part of Tamil Nadu and the taluk (tehsil) headquarters of the Cuddalore district. It is located in 58 km from Pondicherry, 60 km from Karaikal, and 240 km south of Chennai by rail. It has an average elevation of 3 metres (9 ft). The city is home to Annamalai University, Nataraja Temple, Chidambaram Temple, port Parangipettai, and many industries. The city is a major pilgrimage site for Shaivites and Vaishnavites.
As of 2011 India census, Chidambaram had a population of 82,458. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Chidambaram has an average literacy rate of 80%, significantly higher than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 84% and female literacy of 76%. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The ancient Chidambaram Temple (Tamil: சிதம்பரம் கோயில் ) is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form of the cosmic Dancer (Nataraja நடராசர்). It is one of the five dancing halls (Sabha) of Nataraja and the most famous one. Chidambaram is the Kanaka Sabha (Golden Hall). It is also one of the Panchabhoota Sthalams - representing five basic elements. This is the Akasa Sthalam representing 'Space' among the Pancha Bootha Sthalams. For Saivites all over the world this is the most important Siva Temple. The stand alone word "Kovil" would automatically mean Chidambaram Temple to Saivites. The others are - Tiruvannamalai (Thejo sthalam - Fire) Kanchipuram (Prithvi sthalam - Earth) Srikalahasti (Vayu sthalam - Air) Tiruvanaikaval (Trichy) (Appu sthalam - Water).
Karan Thapar is one of India's television commentators and interviewers. He is the youngest child of General P. N. Thapar(who became General because of being near to Nehru's dynasty) and Mrs. Bimla Thapar.
An alumnus of The Doon School and the Stowe School, he graduated with a degree in Economics and Political Philosophy from Pembroke College, Cambridge in 1977. In the same year, he was also President of the Cambridge Union. He subsequently obtained a doctorate in International Relations from St Antony's College, Oxford.
He began his career in journalism with The Times in Lagos, Nigeria and later worked as their Leader Writer on the Indian subcontinent till 1981. In 1982 he joined London Weekend Television where he worked for the next 11 years. He then moved to India where he worked with The Hindustan Times Television Group, Home TV and United Television before setting up his own production house in August 2001, Infotainment Television, which makes programmes for amongst others BBC, Doordarshan and Channel News Asia.

Plot: Anal Murugan (Vikram) is a gym boy who wants to become a big villain in cinema. Life takes a turn after he meets Dakshina Moorthy (Vishwanath), a senior citizen. He is on the road running for his life as his son Chidambaram (Avinash) is behind him for a piece of land where an orphanage is being run by Dakshinamurthy. Chidambaram has big plans. He wants to give away the land to Sana (Ranganayaki), a State Minister and a land mafia and thereby enter politics. Now the cudgels fall on Anal Murugan to save the old man and the land. Things become murkier as Vapa aka Abdul Kadhir (Pradeep Rawath), a dreaded don in the guise of noble man enters. Murugan now wages a battle between the corrupt Minister and Vapa. He starts using his brain to outwit them. In between there is a romantic escapade between Murugan and Dharshini (Deeksha Seth).

Plot: Leela Krishna (Venu) is an orphan and he believes that it is the money, which rules the life. He studies law course and turns a lawyer. All the villagers collect Rs 2 lakh and throw him out of the village by donating him the money. He reaches Hyderabad and stays with his friend Viswanath (Ali), who is also a lawyer. Leela comes to know that Jagannatham (Sayaji Shinde) is a famous lawyer and he has Rs 100 crore worth property. He has two daughters and the elder one Spandana (Satya Krishnan) fell in love with a lawyer and marries him. The couple continue to stay with Jagannatham in his house. Leela traps the second daughter Vandana (Charmy Kaur) of Jagannatham by playing a trick that he is an honest lawyer who advocates justice always. He marries Vandana but his hopes get shattered when Vandana decides to stay with Leela only in his rented house leaving her father's property and palatial bungalow. He then blackmails a television channel MD (Raghubabu) and occupies a rich house to start his new office. After that, he argues the case of a notorious criminal GK's (Satya Prakash) brother RK (Balaji) and gets a huge bungalow as a gift. Once Vandana happens to meet her friend in a shopping mall, whose husband is a labour officer and invites them for dinner to their house the next day. However, the labour officer gets killed by RK and Leela Krishna takes up the case to prove him an innocent. The rest of the story forms the interesting part of the climax.

Plot: Billu (Jayam Ravi) is the son of Mudaliar (Vijay Kumar). Mudaliar is much loved and respected by people of his locality and Billu is almost like a foster son to every person in the locality. Billu takes an instant liking for Susi (Bhavana) the moment he sets his eyes on her at the railway station. Susi, who has arrived from Bangalore to Chennai, is all set to stay at Sait's (VMC Haneefa) place and Sait, who has worked for Susi's father Chidambaram (Lal), a dreaded thug, earlier, has changed ways but retains his respect towards him nevertheless. Susi, who has been craving for love and concern since young, gets impressed with the bonding that the Royapuram residents share. Love blooms between Susi and Billu, and just when they share a light moment with Billu's friends, the unexpected occurs.
