These are the best ways a teenage entrepreneur can make money in my opinion. 1. Instagram The first way a teenage entrepreneur can make money is through Instagram or other social media platforms. Anyone with an audience can make money from it. I recommend creating a niche specific Instagram account around something you are passionate about. The goal is to grow a highly engaged audience, not to get as many followers as possible. Audience engagement is the biggest thing advertisers look at. The goal is to pursue brand deals and sponsorship deals where advertisers pay you to post on your Instagram account. This is a great way for a teen entrepreneur to make money. Be selective about what you post as your reputation is on the line! Make sure it is in the best interest of your brand. I recommend a teen entrepreneur spends at least 12 months building an Instagram audience before trying to make money from the audience. 2. Reselling Online The second way a teenage entrepreneur can make money is through reselling items online. Go hunting for valuable items at garage sales, flea markets and thrift shops. Another way to do this is to buy name brand items from discount retailers or buy items in bulk and sell them individually. If you are a teen entrepreneur looking to make money, I recommend picking one category and becoming an expert at it. You should track your profits and look for a 20% profit margin or better. Remember, this is a business! Teen entrepreneurs can resell these items on eBay or even on their own websites. 3. Junk Removal The third way teenage entrepreneurs can make money is through a junk removal business. Get a truck and a trailer or a partner who has a truck. The premise behind this business is that everyone has junk but not everyone has the means to get rid of it. There is huge potential for profit here as a teen entrepreneur. Remember, not all junk is junk! What someone throws away could be valuable to someone else. To make more money, I recommend selling the items that still hold value as well as collecting any scrap metal you can get your hands on in this process.
