WHAT YOU DO: An Executive Producer oversees all the different aspects of a feature film or TV production (budget, casting, crew supervision) and deals with writers, studios, and networks to make critical decisions about the production. An Executive Producer's main goal is to make a quality TV show or feature film while delivering the product on time and on (or under) budget.
EDUCATION: A college degree, not necessarily in film, makes you a more competitive job candidate.
USEFUL SKILLS: Budgeting, good reading and writing skills, flexibility, leadership skills, plus (important) patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You'll need to work hard and think outside the box to get projects done.
HOW TO GET IN: Talk to people in the film or TV industry you know, do whatever you can to meet people you don't, go to studios and production companies and find out about their internship programs. As an intern, work harder and be more available than anyone else.
CAREER PATH: Start with an internship or any low-level job in the industry. Networking and hard work can help you move up from production assistant to coordinator, to associate producer, and on to producer and executive producer jobs.
PAYBACK: Typically anywhere from $50,000-$300,000 per year.
DOWNSIDES: As an executive producer, you'll deal with an enormous amount of pressure, and you need to be able to handle difficult, passionate people and situations firmly but patiently no matter how stressed out you get.
FUTURE OF JOB: The number of jobs is expected to grow 10-19% in the 2013-2022 decade, which is average.

Executive producer
An executive producer (EP) enables the making of a commercial entertainment product. The EP may be concerned with management accounting and/or with associated legal issues (like copyrights or royalties). An EP generally contributes to the film's budget and may or may not work on set.
Motion pictures
In motion pictures, an executive producer oversees the filmmaking with regard to film finance. Executive producers liaise with the line producer and report to production companies and distributors.
Television
In television, an executive producer often supervises the creative content as well as the financial aspects of a production. Some writers (for example Stephen J. Cannell and Tina Fey) have been the creator and also the producer of the same TV show. Other dual roles may include the executive director(s) starring in the show they produce, such as Full Throttle Saloon reality TV star, Jesse James Dupree. Still other shows may have more than one executive producer working on a TV show where there can be one among them who outranks the others. This position is known as the "showrunner," or operational executive producer.

The Movie
"The Movie" is the 54th episode of the sitcom Seinfeld. It is the 14th episode of the fourth season, and first aired on January 6, 1993.
Plot
The episode begins with Jerry ranting in a stand-up comedy monologue about age gaps in employment:
A night filled with miscommunication begins when Jerry has two stand-up acts scheduled for the same night. At first, the Improv manager, Kernis (played by actor Tom La Grua), tells Jerry that the show has been delayed. Jerry is upset that he must lose his on-stage slot; he is more upset when, after telling Kernis, "You don't understand. I got this all timed out. I got another spot across town at 9:50, I'm not gonna be able to make it!" - he then learns, when he shows up at the other comedy stage later, that his spot was for 9:15, not 9:50.
Adding to Jerry's distress is the fact that a hopeful comedian, Buckles (Barry Diamond), "hangs around hoping that somebody drops out." Buckles always bores and pesters Jerry.
Jerry tells Kernis that he'll agree to lose his moment at the microphone, saying, "I'm supposed to meet my friends to see this [fictional] movie, CheckMate, at 10:30."

Mo Abudu
Mosunmola Abudu, usually known as Mo Abudu, is a talk show host, TV producer, media personality, human resources management consultant, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She has been described by Forbes as "Africa's Most Successful Woman".
Early life
Abudu was born in the UK. At age 7, her family relocated to Lagos, Nigeria where she was sent to stay with her grandparents at their cocoa farm in Ondo State, to learn about African culture.
Education
At age 11, she attended Fiwasaye Girls Grammar School. At 12, shortly after her father died, Abudu returned to the UK and attended Hammersmith County Secondary School before moving to the Ridgeway School in Kent where she lived with her guardian in Tunbridge Wells. From there, she went to West Kent College and MidKent College. She has a Masters Degree in HR Management from the University of Westminster, London.
Abudu is a member of the British Psychological Society, and is qualified in occupational and personality testing.

USEFUL SKILLS: Budgeting, good reading and writing skills, flexibility, leadership skills, plus (important) patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You'll need to work hard and think outside the box to get projects done.
HOW TO GET IN: Talk to people in the film or TV industry you know, do whatever you can to meet people you don't, go to studios and production companies and find out about their internship programs. As an intern, work harder and be more available than anyone else.
CAREER PATH: Start with an internship or any low-level job in the industry. Networking and hard work can help you move up from production assistant to coordinator, to associate producer, and on to producer and executive producer jobs.
PAYBACK: Typically anywhere from $50,000-$300,000 per year.
DOWNSIDES: As an executive producer, you'll deal with an enormous amount of pressure, and you need to be able to handle difficult, passionate people and situations firmly but patiently no matter how stressed out you get.
FUTURE OF JOB: The number of jobs is expected to grow 10-19% in the 2013-2022 decade, which is average.

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer and poster for Assassin’s Creed last night. Directed by Justin Kurzel who directed Macbeth, the film stars Michael Fassbender as death row inmate Callum Lynch, who is whisked away to Abstergo and, through revolutionary technology, is enabled to experience the memories of his ancestor Aguilar in 15th Century Spain.
Based on Batman’s “Knightmare” sequence in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it looked like the villain being teased for Justice League: Part One would be none other than Darkseid. However, according to a new report from Birth.Movies.Death. that might not be the case. Instead of Darkseid, BMD is claiming that we’ve already seen the villain… Sort of.
According to a report from ScreenDaily, Joaquin Phoenix is set to star in Lynne Ramsay’s You Were Never Really Here, a character-driven thriller revolving around a tormented war veteran with a troubled past. In You Were Never Really Here, Phoenix will play a damaged war veteran, now a rescuer of women trafficked into the sex trade.

Last September, Collider reported that DC TV super-producer Greg Berlanti was rumored to be an executive producer and possibly even a director on the movie. Now, thanks to a new interview from “Fat Man on Batman with Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin,” with a follow up report from Birth Movies Death, screenwriter Zack Stentz appears to be writing a Booster Gold movie.
According to an exclusive report from The Wrap’s Jeff Sneider, Jack Black is in talks to star alongside Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart in Sony’s Jumanji reboot. Jake Kasdan is directing the big-budget adaptation of Chris Van Allsburg’s 1981 book, which is being produced by Matt Tolmach at Sony.
In a report coming out of Cannes, the comedic trio of Will Ferrell, Catherine Keener, and Michael Cera are set to star in the dark comic vacation movie, Captain Dad. Written and directed by Sebastián Silva, the movie tells the tory of Rich Peelman played by Ferrell, who gives his wife Linda the gift of a lifetime for her birthday: a trip through the Caribbean on a sailboat with all six of their kids and their partners.
