David Walker may refer to:
David (Hebrew: דָּוִד, דָּוִיד, Modern David Tiberian Dāwîḏ; ISO 259-3 Dawid; Strong's Daveed; beloved; Arabic: داوود or داود Dāwūd) was, according to the Hebrew Bible, the second king of the United Kingdom of Israel and, according to the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke, an ancestor of Jesus. David is seen as a major Prophet in Islamic traditions. His life is conventionally dated to c. 1040–970 BC, his reign over Judah c. 1010–1003 BC,[citation needed] and his reign over the United Kingdom of Israel c. 1003–970 BC.[citation needed] The Books of Samuel, 1 Kings, and 1 Chronicles are the only sources of information on David, although the Tel Dan stele records "House of David", which some take as confirmation of the existence in the mid-9th century BC of a Judean royal dynasty called the "House of David".
David is very important to Jewish, Christian and Islamic doctrine and culture. In Judaism, David, or David HaMelekh, is the King of Israel, and the Jewish people. Jewish tradition maintains that a direct descendant of David will be the Messiah. In Islam, he is known as Dawud, considered to be a prophet and the king of a nation. He is depicted as a righteous king, though not without faults, as well as an acclaimed warrior, musician, and poet, traditionally credited for composing many of the psalms contained in the Book of Psalms.

Plot: Powerful and provoking, Escape From Capture is a masterpiece. It is a fiery piece that uncovers pertinent information left out of history books. Writer/director Atif Lanier of HarMageddo Entertainment has incorporated truth and history into this revelatory piece. It is entertainment and a history lesson rolled into one, which speaks of the plight of African slaves and mental slavery that exists in Black America today. Lanier attests that all slaves were not passive and this idea is greatly affected through the character Jemmy Imagine being a free black man in America in 1850 then being tricked into slavery. What emotions would you feel? What would you do? Naturally, Jemmy hungered for freedom, but this time would be different. Being on the other side of freedom made Jemmy realize that freedom was meaningless when his people were still in chains Jemmy refused to believe the idea that blacks would receive their rewards in the afterlife. He wanted freedom and he would do anything to get it, even if it meant leading a revolt. As Moses led his people out of bondage so would Jemmy.

Plot: The documentary film "Over the River...Life of Lydia Maria Child, Abolitionist for Freedom" is the first of its kind to present abolitionists in the light they deserve. Lydia Maria Child (pronounced Mariah) is best known for her Thanksgiving Day poem, turned song, "Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandmother's House We Go," but she was much more than a poet. The epic film highlights the major literary contribution Child made through those tumultuous times to forge change that brought about the first Civil Rights Movement in America. The actress Diahann Carroll's mellifluous narration sets the tone of the film from the beginning to the end-immersing the viewer into "the times;" leaving the viewer wondering why wasn't Child and the abolitionists given more credit for such a major undertaking as abolishing slavery in America. The film brings Child to a general audience yearning for American history that gives them heritage beyond the scope of dead presidents and the American Revolution. The film gives the audience another purpose of being proud to be an American.

Plot: McDonald's loved using the UK libel laws to suppress criticism. Major media organisations like the BBC and The Guardian crumbled and apologised. But then they sued gardener Helen Steel and postman Dave Morris. In the longest trial in English legal history, the "McLibel Two" represented themselves against McDonald's £10 million legal team. Every aspect of the corporation's business was cross-examined: from junk food and McJobs, to animal cruelty, environmental damage and advertising to children. Outside the courtroom, Dave brought up his young son alone and Helen supported herself working nights in a bar. McDonald's tried every trick in the book against them. Legal manoeuvres. A visit from Ronald McDonald. Top executives flying to London for secret settlement negotiations. Even spies. Seven years later, in February 2005, the marathon legal battle finally concluded at the European Court of Human Rights. And the result took everyone by surprise - especially the British Government. McLibel is not just about hamburgers. It is about the importance of freedom of speech now that multinational corporations are more powerful than countries. Filmed over ten years by no-budget Director Franny Armstrong, McLibel is the David and Goliath story of two people who refused to say sorry. And in doing so, changed the world.

Plot: McLibel is the inside story of the postman and the gardener who took on the McDonald's Corporation. Filmed over three years, the documentary follows Helen Steel and Dave Morris, anonymous campaigners who become unlikely global heroes. Struggling to defend themselves in the longest trial in English history, they face infiltration by spies, secret meetings with corporate executives, 40,000 pages of background reading, and a visit from Ronald McDonald. Using interviews with witnesses and reconstructions of key moments in court, the film examines the main issues in the trial: nutrition, animals, advertising, employment, the environment, and freedom of speech.
