Jaws (ride)

Jaws was a theme park attraction based upon the films of the same name. The attraction places guests aboard tour boats for what should be a leisurely tour of Amity Harbor, but instead becomes a harrowing chase between the craft and a very determined great white shark. Jaws is an expanded version of a famous scene on the long-running backlot tour at Universal Studios Hollywood, also inspired by the film, and can be found at Universal Studios Japan near Osaka, and formerly, at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando.

History

The original attraction at Universal Studios Florida was inspired by a scene on the long-running Universal Studios Backlot Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood, in which the Studio Tour tram passed through several sets from the film and was then attacked by the shark known as Jaws while driving by the Amity Harbour shore line. For the Universal Studios Florida park/studio project, Universal sought to take the components of the Hollywood tour scene and turn it into its own ride. The original ride was designed by MCA/Universal Planning and Development, in association with Ride & Show Engineering, Inc., which designed the original tour scene. Steven Spielberg, who directed the first film in the series, also served as a creative consultant for the ride.

Surf station

Surf is a passenger rail station in the small community of Surf, California, west of the city of Lompoc. It is served by Amtrak's Pacific Surfliner from San Luis Obispo to San Diego. Four Pacific Surfliner trains serve the station daily.

Of the 73 California stations served by Amtrak, Lompoc-Surf was the 64th-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 18 passengers daily.

SURF4

Surfeit locus protein 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SURF4 gene.

This gene is located in the surfeit gene cluster, which is composed of very tightly linked housekeeping genes that do not share sequence similarity. The encoded protein is a conserved integral membrane protein containing multiple putative transmembrane regions. In eukaryotic cells, protein transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi compartments is mediated in part by non-clathrin-coated vesicular coat proteins (COPs). The specific function of this protein has not been determined but its yeast homolog is directly required for packaging glycosylated pro-alpha-factor into COPII vesicles. This gene uses multiple polyadenylation sites, resulting in transcript length variation. The existence of alternatively spliced transcript variants has been suggested, but their validity has not been determined.

Bull (2000 TV series)

Bull is an American drama series created by Michael S. Chernuchin. It was TNT's first original series, and was cancelled in the middle of Season 1. The show's name is in reference to the bull market, but the airing of the series coincided with the dot-com bubble crash that turned what had until then been a bull economy in the United States into a bear market.

Synopsis

The eighth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation premiered on CBS on September 27, 2007 and ended May 15, 2008. The season stars William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger.

Plot

As the CSIs race to save one of their own ("Dead Doll"), Sara makes a life changing decision ("Goodbye and Good Luck"), and one investigator falls ("For Gedda"), in the eighth season of CSI. Groupe Bull

Bull SAS (also known as Groupe Bull, Bull Information Systems, or simply Bull) is a French-owned computer company headquartered in Les Clayes-sous-Bois, in the western suburbs of Paris. The company has also been known at various times as Bull General Electric, Honeywell Bull, CII Honeywell Bull, and Bull HN. Bull was founded in 1931, as H.W. Egli - Bull, to capitalize on the punched card technology patents of Norwegian engineer Fredrik Rosing Bull (1882–1925). After a reorganization in 1933, with new owners coming in, the name was changed to Compagnie des Machines Bull.

The company has undergone many takeovers and mergers since its formation. In particular, it has had various ownership relations with General Electric, Honeywell, and NEC from the 1960s to the 1980s; and with Motorola, Debeka, and France Télécom more recently. "Young" is a song written by Naoise Sheridan, Steve McEwan and Craig Wiseman, and recorded by American country music singer Kenny Chesney. It was released in December 2001 as the lead single from his album No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems. It peaked at number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and at number 35 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The music video was Chesney's first of many videos that were by Shaun Silva and was released in January 2002. It was filmed in Sanford, Florida at the old bridge over the St. Johns River and on the banks of the river.
