North Carolina (i/ˌnɔːrθ kærəˈlaɪnə/) is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. The state borders South Carolina and Georgia to the south, Tennessee to the west, Virginia to the north, and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. North Carolina is the 28th most extensive and the 9th most populous of the 50 United States. North Carolina is known as the Tar Heel State and the Old North State.
North Carolina is composed of 100 counties. Its two largest metropolitan areas are among the top ten fastest-growing in the country: its capital, Raleigh, and its largest city, Charlotte. In the past five decades, North Carolina's economy has undergone a transition from reliance upon tobacco, textiles, and furniture-making to a more diversified economy with engineering, energy, biotechnology, and finance sectors.
North Carolina has a wide range of elevations, from sea level on the coast to 6,684 feet (2,037 m) at Mount Mitchell, the highest point in North America east of the Mississippi River. The climate of the coastal plains is strongly influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. Most of the state falls in the humid subtropical climate zone. More than 300 miles (500 km) from the coast, the western, mountainous part of the state has a subtropical highland climate.
Kristopher "Kris" Rudy-Charles Jenkins (born August 3, 1979) is a former American football defensive tackle who played for the Carolina Panthers and New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Maryland. He was drafted by the Panthers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft. A three-time All-Pro and four-time Pro Bowl selection, Jenkins played seven seasons for the Panthers before being traded to the New York Jets in 2008.
He is the older brother of New York Giants defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins.
Jenkins played college football at the University of Maryland, where he started 27 of 41 games. He made the second team All-ACC during his senior season. He finished with 9.5 sacks and 154 tackles.
Jenkins was selected in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft by Carolina.
Jenkins finished the 2002 season with 60 tackles and 7 sacks, en route to an alternate appearance on the NFC's Pro Bowl team, where he replaced an injured Warren Sapp. The following season, he helped the Panthers on their way to Super Bowl XXXVIII. In one game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jenkins blocked two kicks: a field goal attempt by Martin Gramatica, and an extra point attempt that would have won the game. Jenkins' second block marked the first time that an extra point was blocked to send a game into overtime (Carolina later won the game). Jenkins was rewarded with his first Pro Bowl start, and joined teammate Mike Rucker as half of the NFC's defensive front line.

Plot: In the small New England town of Hatchet Rhode Island, local cook Will Hurt is busy focusing his life on becoming a master chef. But when the local news reports that the town's sweetheart, Heather Gale, aka: the girl of Will's dreams, has finally broken up with her long-time boyfriend Brady, Will's life takes a quick detour. Will turns to his best friend "Fish" for council and the two of them decide that there's no time like the present for Will to get his lady. But, after years of being so passive on this matter, Will's skills with the ladies are a tad bit rusty and each attempt to impress the girl of his dreams fails miserably. So miserably, that the locals believe that a serial killer has come to town. Reported by the national news and fueled by local sleaze-ball reporter Larry Tucker, The infamous Bloody Hand Serial Killer has been chopping his way across country and has made his way to the small town of Hatchet Rhode Island. Will continues to turn to Fish for advice but each attempt is met with the same outcome. With every botched attempt, lives are lost, curfews put in place and panic spreads throughout the town. It becomes crystal clear to this small town that the Bloody Hand Serial Killer has definitely arrived and is targeting Heather! And thus, Will finds himself in a predicament. Heather turns to Will in her moments of need, making his unintentional strategy surprisingly affective. The two grow very close just as the town's prized Blue Fish Festival arrives and it is here that Heather will be honored as Queen once again. Will takes his shot at truly impressing her. Larry prepares for climax of his career-making story. And meanwhile, the REAL Serial Killer strolls into town to see what's got everybody buzzing. It's a classic case of Mistaken Identity.
