NY1 (also known as Time Warner Cable News NY1 and spoken as "New York One") is an American cable news television channel that is owned by Time Warner Cable. The channel provides 24-hour news coverage, with a focus on the five boroughs of New York City; its programming primarily features news and weather forecasts, however NY1 also features specialty programs such as Inside City Hall (which is renamed Road to City Hall during New York City mayoral elections).
NY1 is available on Time Warner Cable's New York City system on channel 1 in standard definition and channel 701 in high definition. On Cablevision in the New York City area, it is carried on channel 8 (it was previously seen on channel 1, before Cablevision moved the channel to its current slot in December 2010), and is transmitted by the provider in letterboxed standard definition (downconverted from the HD feed). The channel is available to more than two million cable customers within the five boroughs of New York City, as well as nearby Bergen County in New Jersey and Mount Vernon in Westchester County, New York. As of 2014, NY1 is not currently available on Verizon FiOS.

New York is a state in the Northeastern United States and is the United States' 27th-most extensive, fourth-most populous, and seventh-most densely populated state. New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south and Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Vermont to the east. The state has a maritime border in the Atlantic Ocean with Rhode Island, east of Long Island, as well as an international border with the Canadian provinces of Quebec to the north and Ontario to the west and north. The state of New York, with an estimated 19.8 million residents in 2015, is often referred to as New York State to distinguish it from New York City, the state's most populous city and its economic hub.
With an estimated population of nearly 8.5 million in 2014, New York City is the most populous city in the United States and the premier gateway for legal immigration to the United States. The New York City Metropolitan Area is one of the most populous urban agglomerations in the world. New York City is a global city, exerting a significant impact upon commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, its fast pace defining the term New York minute. The home of the United Nations Headquarters, New York City is an important center for international diplomacy and has been described as the cultural and financial capital of the world, as well as the world's most economically powerful city. New York City makes up over 40% of the population of New York State. Two-thirds of the state's population lives in the New York City Metropolitan Area, and nearly 40% live on Long Island. Both the state and New York City were named for the 17th century Duke of York, future King James II of England. The next four most populous cities in the state are Buffalo, Rochester, Yonkers, and Syracuse, while the state capital is Albany.

Wisin & Yandel are a Puerto Rican reggaeton duo, composed of Juan Luis Morera Luna (Wisin) and Llandel Veguilla Malavé (Yandel). They started their career in 1998 and have been together since, winning several awards during that time, including a Grammy award in 2009, being the first and the only reggaeton artists who won it. In late 2013, they announced to take a pause in their careers as a duo, after their Líderes tour. According to Yandel, they have not disbanded.
In 1998, Wisin & Yandel participated in the album No Fear 3, produced by DJ Dicky as well as on the compilation album La Misión Vol. 1, edited by Fresh Productions label. The success of this collection (which was certified gold) led the label to produce Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio, the first album by Wisin & Yandel.
From that moment the duo started a successful career. They continued posting new topics in the successive editions of La Misión and recorded three new albums: De Nuevos a Viejos (2001), Mi Vida... My Life (2003) and De Otra Manera (2004), all of which were certified gold. The duo also received the Tu Música Award for Best Rap/Reggaeton Duo in 2002.
This was uploaded by someone and I managed to snag copies of a few recordings from this channel before it vanished from the universe. Hopefully not by copyright. Many only uploaded the bits of the second impact and the collapse of the towers because "hur dur, war conspiracy!" but this whole recording covers the events before and during the attacks, primarily from their tower cam atop the Empire State Building look westward. NY1 rolled out a new graphics/music package on December 16, 2013. The new look is also used on other news stations that are owned by Time Warner Cable. The rebranding has been controversial -- the name of the station is now Time Warner Cable News NY1, a move meant to remind customers that NY1 is a service of TWC -- but station leadership emphasize that the content will not change. Reporters continue to sign off with NY1, but some promos use the TWC News name, without mentioning NY1. New sets have also been introduced. The music is a remixed version of the previous Peter Fish theme.

Our long standing partners at TWC/NY1 News reached out the team at Spillt to develop a show package for the NYC metro area show, In Transit. The show itself focuses on the unique challenges, lifestyle and history associated with commuting in the bustling metropolis that is New York City. Focusing our design heavily on map based elements as well as iconography, we developed a fully editable toolkit of a dozen elements. Our execution involved projection mapping geometry in Cinema 4D and animation/compositing in After Effects. The NY1 News team was ecstatic with the results and has quickly become one of their premiere show segments on air. This edit is a representation of all the elements build for the on-air show. Verse 1: I became her lover, she became my lover. Had her heart broke, I was helping her recover. I became the man she knew she could rely on. Somebody to listen or shoulder to cry on. She was getting better, better she was getting. The more time spent, the more she would forget him. But then back around he seen that he started coming, and shes on the low taking phone calls from him. I thought that we were building something strong. He apologizes and now your gone. And I won't put up with this.
Pre-chorus: You wanna go. (Go.) Just hope you know. Baby your gonna be lonely, lonely again. Oh lonely, lonely. Go on go, go. Just hope you know. (Hey.) Baby your gonna be lonely, lonely again. Lonely, lonely again.
Chorus: Don't call me when your lonely again. When your lonely again, lonely again. Oh, sugga don't call me when your lonely again, when your lonely again. Lonely again. (Oh.)
