CIA World Factbook restores Dokdo Island back to map of Korea
미 CIA, 한국편 지도에 독
We begin with news that the Korea-controlled Dokdo Island has been restored to the CIA World Factbook′s map of Korea.
The change came after it was found that, following its latest update, the U.S. intelligence agency′s map did not refer to or show Dokdo when visitors clicked on Korea,... but showed it on the map of Japan,... which continues to make territorial claims to the Korean islets.

Welcome to the C.A.N. World Facebook: a feature of my video presentations that cover the history, culture, notable features, and painfully obvious jokes regarding the nations of the world. Entry #1 is everyone's favorite country in the continent of Australia: Australia. From the fierce aboriginal society, the tenacious settlers descended from prisoners, its unique wildlife, to the obsession with the food paste known as Vegemite, there's a lot in Australia that can kill you. So come join me on a virtual trip to the land down under, where beer does flow and men chunder (whatever the heck that means).

The CIA World Fact Book
The CIA World Factbook provides information for 267 world entities. There is some special functionality as well that will allow you to make charts and compare and contrast different countries. You can also export comparisons to excel for further manipulation.
To find the CIA World Fact Book, click 'Find a Book'. It is located in the 'Geography' Section.
If you start on the Contents tab, you can select a country of interest. I'll choose India. Here I'll find the flag, a map, and then when I scroll down the page i see information on the
history, geography, people&society;, government, economy, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues
At the top of the page, just below the map, I have a drop down menu with which I can choose a country to compare with India. I'll choose Canada. Canada appears to the right of India, and I can scroll down the page to see the similarities and differences between the two countries.
I can add as many countries as I want.
If my chart becomes too big, I can remove countries by clicking the "hide" button.
You can also create dynamic tables, comparing and contrasting specific features of each country as listed on the left.
I'll click Area -
I am brought to a page that has the the worlds countries listed alphabetically, with their areas in kilometers listed in the column on the right. To sort the list by Area, click the 'sort' button. Now the list is sorted from largest to smallest (including oceans).
You can view your data in Table or chart format.
I can continue adding features to compare and contrast. I'll choose population. Then sort by population. I'll view the chart, where i'll see area listed in red and population in blue.
Back to my table, I can continue adding comparisons. I'll choose literacy percentage. And then view my chart. At any point, I can export my table or chart and capture the data in excel - where I can further manipulate it in any way I choose.
Find the CIA World Fact Book in your 'Find a Book' bookshelf. Or in your keyword results. (China)

Welcome to entry #2 of the C.A.N. World Factbook, where we samba our way into the South American giant of Brazil.
The CIA told Korea′s foreign ministry that Dokdo... referred to as the Liancourt Rocks on the map... was not shown due to technical glitches as they were modifying the maps.
Up until this glitch, the CIA′s World Factbook had marked the Liancourt Rocks on maps of Korea and Japan.
The factbook uses ′Sea of Japan′ for the body of water between Korea and Japan.
Korea wants the U.S. to acknowledge that Koreans call it the ′East Sea′ and put both names on the map.

All you gotta do it, search your county you are looking for. Then go to "People and Society" and if you don't see child labor there that either mean there is not child labor or there hiding something (I explain how to figure it on in the vid). If you do own an article of clothing from a country that has child labor, do something about it. Maybe it's not where close from that county for a week, make a petition, or do a YouTube video like I am. If we all do a little thing we can stop child labor together and give these children the great education that they need that we take for granted!! WHO'S WITH ME!!😏😆

Americans make up around four percent of the world population and yet they control over 25% of the world's wealth. If that wealth were shared evenly across the globe, couldn't we solve the problem of global poverty overnight? Learn more: http://bit.ly/1TrH23v
The answer unfortunately is no. Sharing one's wealth with those who have less is admirable and it often helps to relieve immediate suffering. But just sharing existing wealth we'll never be enough to lift billions of people out of poverty in a sustainable way. To understand why we need to look at history.
This chart shows how world GDP per capita as changed from the earliest recorded history until today. In other words, it's a shorthand way of seeing the wealth of the average human being over time. There are two things we can learn from this chart.
The first is that the extreme poverty we see today is not just a modern affliction. For the vast majority of people throughout most of human history, extreme poverty has been all they have ever known, and all their children would ever know. The second thing is that starting around 1800, that suddenly began to change. We’re living longer healthier lives and seeing fewer of our children die.
On average we're better educated, more literate, and better fed. Transportation is faster, safer, and cheaper. In many ways it's been the poorest among us who have benefited the most from these changes. What's made life so remarkably better for the poor wasn’t welfare or charity. No matter how you redistributed it, all the wealth of the world in 1800 wouldn't be anywhere near enough to give us the standard of living we enjoy in developed countries today.
What happened was the creation of new wealth on an enormous scale. In other words, economic growth. That's why we’re living better lives than our ancestors, today. And that's why the number of people living in absolute poverty has plummeted, not just in the last 200 years, but in the last 20. In a way, economic growth has been history's most successful anti poverty program. But not all countries have experienced this amazing level of growth. Which is why many people are still trapped in poverty today. So if you really want to help the world’s poor, fostering economic growth ought to be our first priority. What new policies might help to grow the wealth of developing countries more quickly? Which existing policies are actually hindering that growth? Those are the questions we need to answer.

So when apologists started co

Wealth and Health Care - Social Inequity and the Resulting Access Disparity
This video is a documentary for my mom's Social Work class assignment that I helped her edit. This is not an official video from *F1LMSTAR*.
I have posted the video to my channel instead of my mom's because her channel cannot post videos longer than 15 minutes. I also wanted to showcase some of my documentary editing experience.

Julian Jaynes' bicameral bind theory is not very well accepted. Most view it as an intriguing hypothesis, but just that, an unfalsifiable hypothesis. HOWEVER, what Jaynes' work does show is that 'ancient man' was batshit crazy and hallucinated quite regularly. That is all that I need, because all I'm interested in is showing that states formed primarily from ideology, the first states being the outgrowth of cults.

Global Economics Explained: The Secret World of Economic Hit Men and Corruption (2012)

According to Perkins, he began writing Confessions of an Economic Hit Man in the 1980s, but "threats or bribes always convinced [him] to stop."
According to his book, Perkins' function was to convince the political and financial leadership of underdeveloped countries to accept enormous development loans from institutions like the World Bank and USAID. Saddled with debts they could not hope to pay, those countries were forced to acquiesce to political pressure from the United States on a variety of issues. Perkins argues in his book that developing nations were effectively neutralized politically, had their wealth gaps driven wider and economies crippled in the long run. In this capacity Perkins recounts his meetings with some prominent individuals, including Graham Greene and Omar Torrijos. Perkins describes the role of an EHM as follows:
Economic hit men (EHMs) are highly paid professionals who cheat countries around the globe out of trillions of dollars. They funnel money from the World Bank, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and other foreign "aid" organizations into the coffers of huge corporations and the pockets of a few wealthy families who control the planet's natural resources. Their tools included fraudulent financial reports, rigged elections, payoffs, extortion, sex, and murder. They play a game as old as empire, but one that has taken on new and terrifying dimensions during this time of globalization.
The epilogue to the 2006 edition provides a rebuttal to the current move by the G8 nations to forgive Third World debt. Perkins charges that the proposed conditions for this debt forgiveness require countries to privatise their health, education, electric, water and other public services. Those countries would also have to discontinue subsidies and trade restrictions that support local business, but accept the continued subsidization of certain G8 businesses by the US and other G8 countries, and the erection of trade barriers on imports that threaten G8 industries.
In the book, Perkins repeatedly denies the existence of a "conspiracy." Instead, Perkins carefully discusses the role of corporatocracy.[2] -- November 4, 2004 interview
I was initially recruited while I was in business school back in the late sixties by the National Security Agency, the nation's largest and least understood spy organization; but ultimately I worked for private corporations. The first real economic hit man was back in the early 1950s, Kermit Roosevelt, Jr., the grandson of Teddy, who overthrew the government of Iran, a democratically elected government, Mossadegh's government who was Time's magazine person of the year; and he was so successful at doing this without any bloodshed—well, there was a little bloodshed, but no military intervention, just spending millions of dollars and replaced Mossadegh with the Shah of Iran. At that point, we understood that this idea of economic hit man was an extremely good one. We didn't have to worry about the threat of war with Russia when we did it this way. The problem with that was that Roosevelt was a C.I.A. agent. He was a government employee. Had he been caught, we would have been in a lot of trouble. It would have been very embarrassing. So, at that point, the decision was made to use organizations like the C.I.A. and the N.S.A. to recruit potential economic hit men like me and then send us to work for private consulting companies, engineering firms, construction companies, so that if we were caught, there would be no connection with the government.
Columnist Sebastian Mallaby of The Washington Post reacted sharply to Perkins' book:[3] "This man is a frothing conspiracy theorist, a vainglorious peddler of nonsense, and yet his book, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, is a runaway bestseller." Mallaby, who spent 13 years writing for the London Economist and wrote a critically well-received biography of World Bank chief James Wolfensohn,[4] holds that Perkins' conception of international finance is "largely a dream" and that his "basic contentions are flat wrong".[3] For instance he points out that Indonesia reduced its infant mortality and illiteracy rates by two-thirds after economists persuaded its leaders to borrow money in 1970. He also disputes Perkins' claim that 51 of the top 100 world economies belong to companies. A value-added comparison done by the UN, he says, shows the number to be 29. (The 51 of 100 data comes from an Institute for Policy Studies Dec 2000 Report on the Top 200 corporations; using 2010 data from the CIA's World Factbook and Fortune Global 500[5][6] the current ratio is 114 corporations in the top 200 global economies.)

877-Why-Islam presents reflections on death by Hamza Tzortzis. “Every soul shall taste death.” Qur’an 29:57. "Wheresoever you may be, death will overtake you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high!" Qur’an 4:78.
Death is the reality from which none can escape. It draws nearer every day; every hour; every minute. According to the CIA’s The World Factbook 2007, almost two people die each second. Death is not a disaster, but simply a passing from this world onto the next. It should make us reflect and ponder about the purpose of life, and what will become of us after death.

During a debate in Melbourne about religion in today’s world, a talking point remained open, "knowledge is haram". The roaring laughter even woke up a guy in the first row who was peacefully sleeping.
At the time I thought the statement was odd and something too strong and not based on textual evidence and did not assign this off-the-cuff remark too much importance.
So when apologists started complaining about it, I thought about it for a moment and then said to myself, no, hang on, there’s actually some truth here. When Dr. Perkins explained the reasoning behind it, Hamza flatly declared that a lie. He accused Dr. Perkins of never having read anything by al Ghazali and then made a comment which demonstrated his own obnoxious and condescending attitude: the “Incoherence of the Philosophers” you see it’s full of reason and rationality.
