With the very intitiation of NAWAPA in North America, politically and economically, the land connection of the continents of America and Eurasia is placed on the agenda. The connection via the Bering Strait, a project that was first proposed in the middle of the 19th century, would lead highways and rail track through a tunnel underneath the icy ocean waters, and would include a gas pipeline, as well as power transmission and communications lines.
Construction of the Bering Strait Tunnel is an active agenda of many of the most important nations in that region.
One of the international specialists on planning and constructing infrastructure projects of this scale and kind, is Dr. Hal Cooper. Dr. Cooper has inspired and performed extensive feasibility studies on the rail and tunnel project for the Bering Strait, the rail connections within Alaska and Canada, as well as numerous other projects.
Dr. Sergei Cherkasov is a further international specialist for such projects. Cherkasov works at the State Geological Vernadsky Museum in Moscow, which is part of the Russian Academy of Sciences. He is a leading expert on questions of raw materials in the scientific tradition of Vladimir Vernadsky and Dmitri Mendeleyev, and is active in several international working groups on surveying undiscovered mineral deposits.

• Wells' earlier expedition in 1998 had provided blood samples from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan and he reconnects with a man named Niyazov -a Kazakh Turk who lives in Kazakhstan near the border of Kirgyzistan. Niyazov has African markers that go back 2000 generations and also has an important Y chromosome marker called P-M45, which is ancestral to R-M207 and Q-M242. That indicates Central Asia is where M45 originated and where both Europeans and Native Americans were descendant from. Niyazov is descended in an unbroken line from the people who originally occupied Central Asia 40 000 years ago.
• Dr. Spencer Wells who wrote a book titled "Journey of Man" claims he has evidence based on the Y-Chromosome tests, the first group followed the coast line of southern Asia all the way to Australia 50.000 years ago after Africa. Another group about 40.000 years ago walked again but took an inland route and first settled in Kazakhstan. This group then spread to west thru Russia, some to China and some to Siberia and Alaska, North&South; America and some to Pakistan/India. He states that he identified the M9 "Central asian" marker which first occurred among people of Central Asian (Turkestan) steppes 40.000 years ago. He claims that a man named Niyazov (a Kazak Turk) has the M9 but no subsequent markers, therefore he must have descended in an unbroken line from the people who originally occupied Central Asia 40.000 years ago. Wells states that Niyazov's gene was the father to most Europeans, most Asians, most Indians and many Native Americans.
• Apparently there are 2 subspecies of our species, a tropical one and a temperate one. The tropical subspecies is represented by sub-Saharan Africans, Melanesians, Australian Aborigines, and some Dravidians. The temperate subspecies includes all the rest of the world peoples, descended from one man who lived in Kazakhstan about 40,000 years ago.
• CHRONOLOGY:
• Caves in Southern France show the first to arrive in Europe: the Cro Magnon. They arrived from Africa 35,000 YA. They had a cold, dark life which explains lighter skin adaptations.
• One nomadic group left Khazakstan (central Asia) straight northeast into the Ice Age. 13,000 YA they crossed an ice sheet into Alaska. These descendants of Siberia (10-20 individuals) made their way down the American west coast over 800 years.
• Navaho indigenous people have their own Creation Story that say they are from the mountains. Yet they carry the same central Asian genetic marker as Niyazov from Kyrgystan.
____________________________
The origins of the First Americans remain contentious. Although Native Americans seem to be genetically most closely related to east Asians1, 2, 3, there is no consensus with regard to which specific Old World populations they are closest to4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Here we sequence the draft genome of an approximately 24,000-year-old individual (MA-1), from Mal'ta in south-central Siberia9, to an average depth of 1×. To our knowledge this is the oldest anatomically modern human genome reported to date. The MA-1 mitochondrial genome belongs to haplogroup U, which has also been found at high frequency among Upper Palaeolithic and Mesolithic European hunter-gatherers10, 11, 12, and the Y chromosome of MA-1 is basal to modern-day western Eurasians and near the root of most Native American lineages5. Similarly, we find autosomal evidence that MA-1 is basal to modern-day western Eurasians and genetically closely related to modern-day Native Americans, with no close affinity to east Asians. This suggests that populations related to contemporary western Eurasians had a more north-easterly distribution 24,000 years ago than commonly thought. Furthermore, we estimate that 14 to 38% of Native American ancestry may originate through gene flow from this ancient population. This is likely to have occurred after the divergence of Native American ancestors from east Asian ancestors, but before the diversification of Native American populations in the New World.

Part 4 - Through Russia and Mongolia
An extreme project for drivers both historical and historic
An international team of drivers will start in Paris on October 1, 2008, and is estimated to reach New York by the middle of May 2009. They will venture east through Russia up to the outermost edge of Eurasia and thus try to be the first team to ever reach the Bering Strait with wheel-driven vehicles of their own accord. Then, in February 2009, it is planned to cross the Bering Strait by driving over the ice. Considering that the strait has not been completely frozen for years, a swimming system will be in use for security. In the case that the vehicles break through ice or in case of open expanses of water, the swimming system will bring them to the next accessible sheet of ice. Upon arriving the American continent, the third challenge will be waiting for the team. The participants of the expedition have set themselves the goal - which has never been achieved before - to drive from Wales to Fairbanks and reach it of their own accord with wheel-driven vehicles. Continuing its jouney from Fairbanks, the team will cross Canada, drive through the USA from west to east and finally reach New York.
By then the Extrem Events team will have achieved three absolutely historical performances:
Reaching Uelen / Russia of their own accord by wheel-driven vehicles
Crossing of the Bering Strait
First drive from Wales / Alaska to Fairbanks / Alaska along the northern coast
The goals of this expedition are to promote CO2-neutral project balance, the worldwide use of renewable energies and energy efficiency. The team will drive around the world using only one mean of transportation.

Early civilizations came from Russia into America by crossing the Bering Strait. They spread over North and South America forming cultural tribes. We refer to these original inhabitants of America as Native Americans.
Many, many, many years later, in the late 1400’s, explorers from Europe began journeying to the Americas. Europeans wanted to find an easy sailing route to Asia, so that they could trade spices and gold. in 1492, Christopher Columbus left Spain and sailed across the sea. When he hit land, he thought that he was in India. He called the people there “Indians”. He really had landed somewhere near the Bahamas. He called this land the New World. And so began the race against European countries to form colonies in America. Colonization is the process of establishing ownership of a land by creating colonies. Europeans wanted to colonize the New World in order to gain power and wealth. The first established colony in America was Jamestown, Virginia in 1607. It was settled by the English. in 1620, pilgrims sailed to America in the ship called the Mayflower. Pilgrims were Puritans, who were leaving England and seeking religious freedom. Soon, people from all over the world were seeking religious freedom in America. As these people settled in America, they took more and more land from Native Americans, who already lived there. And the late 1600’s these settlers began shipping slaves, from Africa, into America. For Europeans. America had now transitioned into a booming land with economic opportunities and freedoms. But settlers were still tied to English rule. And problems between the English and the colonists were growing. Soon American’s would begin their fight for freedom.

Alaska Travel Video Guide - Alaska is the 49th and largest state in the United States of America. Separated from the rest of the country, (the "lower 48"), by Canada, Alaska lies on the Arctic Circle. It is still the least densely populated state in the union and for a long time was home to the lowest population. America's final frontier is the size of California, Texas and Montana combined, making it huge in comparison to the rest of the states! Alaska is also home to the highest point in North America and all of the top ten highest mountains in the USA. Across the Bering Strait lies the country of Russia and the continent of Asia.
In 1867, the territory of Alaska was purchased from the Russians for $7.2 million (or about 2 cents an acre). For many years people referred to the acquisition as "Seward's Folly", named for Secretary of State William H. Seward (1801-1872) who made the deal. They viewed Alaska as a frozen wasteland, not realizing it would turn out to be one of the United States' richest resources for gold and oil. It took until 1959 for the territory to become a State of the Union.

Survivor Cook Islands, may have exposed these beautiful islands to you, so if you are researching this place a holiday destination these travel videos will give you a good insight as to what you can get up to.
We joined Seafari Fishing Charters for a half day fishing adventure off the coast of Rarotonga. As the boat cruises out to the deeper water drop off the view of the island is spectacular. Being a volcanic island we didn't have to go far as it drops off to deep water fairly close to shore.
It is a trolling set up as it was the large fish we were catching and it wasn't too long before we had our first bite. Everyone on board got to have a go bringing in the fish and a great thing to see was that even those who weren't very experienced with fishing had the chance to bring in a fish with the help and advice of the crew.
If you have any questions please leave a comment and we'll get back to you with an answer as soon as we can.

These yachts are built on a hull developed through years of building commercial fishing boats and crabbers designed to withstand the worst conditions of Alaska and the Bering Sea.
You have to see this boat to believe it!! Amazing easy-to-maintain technology, smart engineering, fantastic interior spaces and finishes, four water proof bulkheads, nine redundant touch screen computers around the boat that control all functions of the boat, etc., etc. THIS BOAT IS READY TO CRUISE THE WORLD WITH 5,000 GALS OF FUEL AND CONSUMPTION OF ONLY 10 GPH AT CRUISING SPEED!! Engines are C18's rated for continuous use at a very conservative 600 hp ( the same C18's in a Johnson 70 is rated at 1400 hp - for only 5 minutes!!)
Allseas Yachts was founded by Bernny Alls, an old timer in steel boats manufacturing. Benny began his career in boat building in 1975 and began building steel commercial fishing boats from 48' to 100 ft in length. He trained his son, Tim Alls, to weld and the two of them were soon building some of the most rugged steel commercial boats on the market.
Their clients needed boats that could endure the extreme weather of Alaska and the bearing Seas. Hulls needed to be tough enough to handle occasional rocks as well as large logs in the water. Stability was a huge factor so that these boats could fish in rough water weather which was so common in Southern Alaska.
Experience has tough the builders the thickness of the hulls needed to be tough enough to handle occasional rocks as well as large logs in the water. Stability was a huge factor so that these boats could fish in rough weather which was so common in Southeast Alaska. Benny and Tim had to learn by experience the thickness of glass and window spacing's required to survive 75 foot waves that fishermen sometimes come upon unexpectedly. With Benny's experience in building tough steel hulls and Tim's experience in the hi-tech industry an unusual balance was achieved between old school thinking and new school technology.

The Extraordinary Story of The Golden Gate Bridge - DOCS CHANNEL
The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge reaching the Golden Entrance strait, the mile-wide, three-mile-long channel in between San Francisco Bay and also the Pacific Sea. The framework connects the united state city of San Francisco, on the northern suggestion of the San Francisco Peninsula, to Marin County, bridging both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1 throughout the strait. The bridge is one of one of the most globally identified icons of San Francisco, California, and also the United States. It has actually been declared one of the Marvels of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
The Frommers traveling guide takes into consideration the Golden Gate Bridge "possibly the most beautiful, absolutely the most photographed, bridge in the world". It opened in 1937 and was, until 1964, the longest suspension bridge main span in the world, at 4,200 feet (1,300 m).
Although the idea of a bridge spanning the Golden Gate was not brand-new, the proposal that eventually held was made in a 1916 San Francisco Bulletin article by former engineering student James Wilkins. San Francisco's City Engineer estimated the cost at $100 million, which would have been $2.12 billion in 2009, and impractical for the time. He asked bridge engineers whether maybe developed for less. One that responded, Joseph Strauss, was an enthusiastic engineer and also poet who had, for his grad thesis, created a 55-mile-long (89 km) railroad bridge across the Bering Strait. At the time, Strauss had actually completed some 400 drawbridges-- the majority of which were inland-- and also absolutely nothing on the scale of the brand-new job. Strauss's preliminary illustrations were for an enormous cantilever on each side of the strait, attached by a central suspension sector, which Strauss assured could be built for $17 million.

Alaska Travel - Alaska is a state in the United States, situated in the northwest extremity of the North American continent, with the international boundary with Canada to the east, the Arctic Ocean to the north, and the Pacific Ocean to the west and south, with Russia further west across the Bering Strait. Alaska is the largest state in the United States by area, the 4th least populous and the least densely populated of the 50 United States. Approximately half of Alaskas 731,449 residents live within the Anchorage metropolitan area.
Alaska was purchased from Russia on March 30, 1867, for $7.2 million ($120 million adjusted for inflation) at approximately two cents per acre ($4.74/km²). The land went through several administrative changes before becoming an organized (or incorporated) territory on May 11, 1912, and the 49th state of the U.S. on January 3, 1959.
The name Alaska (Аляска) was already introduced in the Russian colonial period, when it was used only for the peninsula and is derived from the Aleut alaxsxaq, meaning the mainland or, more literally, the object towards which the action of the sea is directed. It is also known as Alyeska, the great land, an Aleut word derived from the same root. ( Wikipedia )

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1N85MiTQ-N0gsI3XBCCYbw?sub_confirmation=1. China 'considering' building high-speed rail line from Beijing to the United States.
Entire trip would take two days and run through Siberia.
China is considering plans to build a high-speed railway line to the US, the country's official media has reported.
The proposed line would begin in north-east China and run up through Siberia, pass through a tunnel underneath the Pacific Ocean then cut through Alaska and Canada to reach the continental US, according to a report in the state-run Beijing Times newspaper.
Crossing the Bering Strait in between Russia and Alaska would require about 200km (125 miles) of undersea tunnel, the paper said, citing Wang Mengshu, a railway expert at the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
"Right now we're already in discussions. Russia has already been thinking about this for many years," Wang said.
The project - nicknamed the "China-Russia plus America line" - would run for 13,000km, about 3,000km further than the Trans-Siberian Railway.
The entire trip would take two days, with the train travelling at an average of 350kmh (220mph).
The reported plans leave ample room for scepticism. No other Chinese railway experts have come out in support of the proposed project.
Whether the government has consulted Russia, the US or Canada is also unclear. The Bering Strait tunnel alone would require an unprecedented feat of engineering - it would be the world's longest undersea tunnel - four times the length of the Channel Tunnel which connects France and England.
According to the state-run China Daily, the tunnel technology is "already in place" and will be used to build a high-speed railway between the south-east province of Fujian and Taiwan.

Mongolian shamanism is one of the world’s most ancient traditions. Anthropologists believe that it came to the Americas with the earliest wave of migration across the Bering Strait. Mongolian shamans today very closely resemble the medicine men of the native tribes of the American Southwest, especially the Apache and Navaho. In this lecture, Nakpa Glenn will share some of the primordial wisdom carried by these men and women of knowledge. 2015.

"Great footage from 1930s of the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge in every phase of construction. Stock shots of completed bridge; informative narration; explanative illustrations illuminate bridges dimensions and other structural aspects of design."
Reupload of a previously uploaded film, in one piece instead of multiple parts.
Public domain film from the Library of Congress Prelinger Archive, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and mild video noise reduction applied.
The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original).

The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the opening of the San Francisco Bay into the Pacific Ocean. As part of both U.S. Route 101 and California State Route 1, the structure links the city of San Francisco, on the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula, to Marin County. It is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the modern Wonders of the World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Frommers travel guide considers the Golden Gate Bridge "possibly the most beautiful, certainly the most photographed, bridge in the world".
Before the bridge was built, the only practical short route between San Francisco and what is now Marin County was by boat across a section of San Francisco Bay. Ferry service began as early as 1820, with regularly scheduled service beginning in the 1840s...
Although the idea of a bridge spanning the Golden Gate was not new, the proposal that eventually took hold was made in a 1916 San Francisco Bulletin article by former engineering student James Wilkins. San Francisco's City Engineer estimated the cost at $100 million, impractical for the time, and fielded the question to bridge engineers of whether it could be built for less. One who responded, Joseph Strauss, was an ambitious but dreamy engineer and poet who had, for his graduate thesis, designed a 55-mile (89 km) long railroad bridge across the Bering Strait. At the time, Strauss had completed some 400 drawbridges—most of which were inland—and nothing on the scale of the new project. Strauss's initial drawings were for a massive cantilever on each side of the strait, connected by a central suspension segment, which Strauss promised could be built for $17 million...
Strauss was chief engineer in charge of overall design and construction of the bridge project. However, because he had little understanding or experience with cable-suspension designs, responsibility for much of the engineering and architecture fell on other experts. Strauss' initial design proposal (two double cantilever spans linked by a central suspension segment) was unacceptable from a visual standpoint. The final graceful suspension design was conceived and championed by New York's Manhattan Bridge designer Leon Moisseiff...
Senior engineer Charles Alton Ellis, collaborating remotely with Moisseiff, was the principal engineer of the project. Moisseiff produced the basic structural design, introducing his "deflection theory" by which a thin, flexible roadway would flex in the wind, greatly reducing stress by transmitting forces via suspension cables to the bridge towers. Although the Golden Gate Bridge design has proved sound, a later Moisseiff design, the original Tacoma Narrows Bridge, collapsed in a strong windstorm soon after it was completed, because of an unexpected aeroelastic flutter...
Construction began on January 5, 1933. The project cost more than $35 million. The Golden Gate Bridge construction project was carried out by the McClintic-Marshall Construction Co., a subsidiary of Bethlehem Steel Corporation, founded by Howard H. McClintic and Charles D. Marshall, both of Lehigh University...
The bridge-opening celebration began on May 27, 1937 and lasted for one week. The day before vehicle traffic was allowed, 200,000 people crossed by foot and roller skate. On opening day, Mayor Angelo Rossi and other officials rode the ferry to Marin, then crossed the bridge in a motorcade past three ceremonial "barriers", the last a blockade of beauty queens who required Joseph Strauss to present the bridge to the Highway District before allowing him to pass...

The Final Track (9) From The Canadian Black Metal Masters 2009 Album:
Silence Of The Boreal
Para mis amigos Nelson y Luna!
Lyrics:
The sea subsides at last and grants us its blessings
And so this journey begins on this path now revealed alas
A new land awaits arrival, our fortune, a migration through northern realms
Embark across the bridge offered
As the Phoenix rise from the ashes of the past
The Spirit of the Wolf to guide us
The Strength of Bear our power
Follow the path of the mammoth steppe
Across this tundra so cold
One thousand miles we will travel
And over the western shield
Men must be born and reborn to belong
Our bodies to be formed from the dust of our forefathers bones
The great beast we follow, an epic migration
An archaic journey to uncharted lands
And when the sea does rise, our steps are buried
Our ancestors left behind
The Bering Descent
This omen of nature will lead us our way
To Eastern shores
Wisdom gained from winds that whisper
It call our name
Without fear I grasp this wisdom
It shows the way
With time my path is followed
As young now grow old
In fear I offer this wisdom
For soon sights turn grey
I am the Earth
Living within your subconscious and body
I am this unknown abyss
I am the Cosmos
The last breath you took before joining my side
I am within you
For always I've watched,
And helped show you the way
I am the Earth
I am this unknown Abyss
I am the Cosmos
I am within You
