Plot: Dish is an android who has undergone a dangerous and illegal surgery to have their gender programming removed. Using their unique ability to tap into the thoughts of other androids, Dish finds Brooks, an android who may be the key to safely deactivating an android's gender programming. Diving into the amnesiac Brooks' memories, Dish discovers that Brooks carries a strange device that, when paired with a long-lost broadcast computer, could give the Trandroids the power to deactivate the gender programming of all androids. Brooks, hoping it can reactivate their own gender programming, disappears with the device. When the Trandroids catch up to Brooks, they discover that Brooks is the creation of the disgruntled scientist Dr. Carter, who programmed Brooks to steal the device for her. She has also found and repaired the broadcast computer, and plans to remotely program androids to violently revolt, forcing a government action that will ban androids from Earth. Now she has called Brooks back and erased their memories. Aided by Dish, Brooks turns on Dr. Carter, but the Trandroids have little time to escape. Brooks decides to stay behind with Dish as Dish programs the command that will deactivate the gender programming of all androids. Soon thereafter, the remaining Trandroids are ready to live above ground. But will they find a new world of freedom, or that their revolution has only inspired further marginalization?
