Mark Rylance has won Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 Academy Awards for his role in Bridge of Spies .
Patricia Arquette , who won Best Supporting Actress last year for Boyhood , presented the award.
"For me to have a chance to work with one of the greatest storytellers of our time Steven Spielberg has been such an honour," he said.
" He leads with such love that he's surrounded by such masters in every craft, every craft."
He also thanked his co-star Tom Hanks for his support.
The full list of nominees in the category was Christian Bale (The Big Short), Tom Hardy (The Revenant), Mark Ruffalo (Spotlight), and Sylvester Stallone (Creed), who was widely tipped to take home his first Oscar this year.
