Sequoia (comics)

Sequoia, (AKA Quoi and Q) is a Marvel Comics character. He is the son of Mantis and the elder member of the Cotati contingent which was transplanted from the Kree home planet Hala to Viet Nam on Earth.

Prophecy

A prophecy read that one day the perfect human female, who would be the Celestial Madonna, would have a union with the perfect male plant of the Cotati race, and from their union would spring the perfect child, who would be the Celestial Messiah; a being that destined to change the universe. A newborn star appeared in the sky above Avengers' Headquarters during the period when Mantis was an active member of the group, proclaimed that the Celestial Madonna's time was at hand. Kang the Conqueror had set up an automatic monitoring device to alert him to this appearance, in hopes of capturing the Madonna and using the child to advance his quest for power, but did not know which of three human females was The Madonna: Mantis, the Scarlet Witch, or Agatha Harkness. Once it was revealed that it was Mantis, she mated with the elder member of the Cotati contingent that had been left on Earth along with a group of the Kree-born Priests of Pama (to protect it from the Star Stalker). Though this Cotati was a tree, this mating was made possible because he took the form of the Avenger known as the Swordsman, who had recently been killed saving her life in battle with Kang. Their baby was named Sequoia, after the noblest of Earth trees.

Jane Birkin

Jane Mallory Birkin, OBE (born 14 December 1946) is an English actress and singer based in France. She is perhaps best known for her relationship with Serge Gainsbourg in the 1970s and being the namesake of the popular Hermès Birkin bag. In recent years she has written her own album, directed a film and become an outspoken proponent of democracy in Myanmar.

Early life

Jane Mallory Birkin was born on 14 December 1946, in Marylebone, London. Her mother, Judy Campbell, was an English actress, best known for her work on stage. Her father, David Birkin, was a Royal Navy lieutenant-commander and World War II spy. Her brother is the screenwriter and director Andrew Birkin. She was educated at Upper Chine School, Isle of Wight. She is first cousin twice removed to theatre and opera director Sophie Hunter.

Career

Early career

Birkin emerged in the Swinging London scene of the 1960s, appearing briefly in the counterculture era film Blowup (1966) and as the fantasy-like model in the psychedelic film Wonderwall (1968). That same year, she auditioned in France for the lead female role in the film Slogan (1969). Though she did not speak French, she won the role, co-starring alongside Serge Gainsbourg, and she performed with him on the film's theme song, "La Chanson de Slogan" — the first of many collaborations between the two. In 1969, she and Gainsbourg released the duet "Je t'aime... moi non plus" ("I love you... me neither"). Gainsbourg originally wrote the song for Brigitte Bardot. The song caused a scandal for its sexual explicitness, and was banned by radio stations in Italy, Spain, and the UK.

Black M

Alpha Diallo better known by his stage name Black Mesrimes or more commonly Black M (born 27 December 1984), is a French rapper and singer-songwriter of Guinean descent. He grew up in the 7th and 13th arrondissements of Paris. He is famous for his membership of the French rap and hip hop collective Sexion d'Assaut in addition to his solo work and collaborations with various artists. His moniker Mesrimes is a reference to French criminal known as "The Man of a Thousand Faces" and French anti-establishment wanted man "Robin Hood" Jacques Mesrine. Black M uses many punch lines and onomatopoeias in his works.

In 2006, he had a joint released Bakry & Black Mesrimes presente Le Pact. In 2013, he released "Ailleurs" as an early release from his solo album titled Les yeux plus gros que le monde that followed in 2014, becoming his first official studio album. Black M states in his latest music video a famous punch line; "Alexandre de L A, il est super stylé". Follow-up big hits from the album included "Mme Pavoshko", "Sur ma route" and "La légende black". He later rereleased the album with 8 additional track renaming the new special release Le monde plus gros que mes yeux

Mina Tindle

Pauline de Lassus (born 1983), better known by her stage name Mina Tindle, is a French folk and new wave singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She previously released her debut EP with Sauvage Records "Review: Mina Tindle" "Mezzic.com", and in March 2012 released her debut album Taranta on Believe Recordings "Believe Recordings UK" "Mina Tindle, 'Taranta'" "The Independent""Mina Tindle".

Mina Tindle was born in Paris, France and has family that reside in Spain "biography" She lived in Brooklyn where she played with the band The Limes before returning to Paris to pursue her career as a solo artist.
