Anonymous is a 2011 political thriller and pseudo-historical drama film. Directed by Roland Emmerich and written by John Orloff, the movie is a fictionalized version of the life of Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, an Elizabethan courtier, playwright, poet and patron of the arts. Starring Rhys Ifans (de Vere) and Vanessa Redgrave (Queen Elizabeth I), Anonymous utilizes emerging VFX CG technology to recreate exterior period backgrounds in and around old London, circa 1550–1604.
Set within the political atmosphere of the Elizabethan court, the film presents Lord Oxford as the true author of Shakespeare's plays, and dramatizes events leading to the succession of Queen Elizabeth I and the Essex Rebellion against her. De Vere is depicted as a literary prodigy and the Queen's sometime lover, with whom he sires a son, Henry Wriothesley, 3rd Earl of Southampton, only to discover that he himself may be the Queen's son by an earlier lover. De Vere eventually sees his suppressed plays performed through a frontman (Shakespeare), using his production of Richard III to support a rebellion led by his son and Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex. The insurrection fails, and as a condition for sparing the life of their son, the Queen declares that de Vere will never be known as the author of his plays and poems.

Plot: What happens when you create a short film with no dialogue and a series of consecutive events culminating in a single conclusion? Now utilize the same entertainment technique in a major motion picture and attempt to engage the viewer from beginning to end. Along the way, incorporate stereotypical characters like a construction worker, a sailor, a cowboy, a doctor, a private investigator, a hunter, a soldier and a naked man. A take on self image as conflict becomes apparent in one's identity. The characters seemingly chase each other through a series of scenes while carrying loaded weapons. Are they chasing each other, chasing themselves or just trying to reach a conclusion? Do the characters represent issues with self image and identity? Are they merely a statement about how the movie industry provides us with multiple persona that we in turn base out own identity on? These are the questions the viewer has to consider while watching this art piece.

Plot: It was 1906. "Get Music on Tap Like Gas or Water" promised the headlines, and soon the public was enchanted with inventor Thaddeus Cahill's (1867-1934) electrical music by wire. The Telharmonium was a 200-ton behemoth that created numerous musical timbres and could flood many rooms with sound. Beginning with the first instrument, constructed in the 1890's, and continuing with the installation of the second instrument at Telharmonic Hall in New York, the rise and fall of commercial service, the attempted comeback of the third Telharmonium, and ending with efforts to find a home for the only surviving instrument in 1951, this documentary provides a definitive account of the first comprehensive music synthesizer. Video artist and composer Reynold Weidenaar has created a video of image-processing and animation using historic photos and pictures. All source images and dialogue are authentic. Most of the music selections are known to have been performed on the instrument. However, no known recordings of the Telharmonium exist, so the music was recreated on a Yamaha synthesizer.

Plot: This is the story of the beautiful young Pervirella. Set in the mythical English land of Condon, the grotesque, power-mad Queen Victoria builds a wall around the country and establishes a "Monarchy of Terror." Intellectuals and "pervs" are prosecuted and killed, or driven underground to form the "Cult of Perv." Their leader, the Demon Nanny gives birth to a possible savior, then dies. The infant Pervirella grows to maturity with supernatural speed and shows amazing abilities, including raging nymphomania whenever her magical necklace is removed. Pervirella is sought by various rebels, agents of Victoria, the Cult of Perv, and a trio of witches. Eventually she teams up with Amicus Reilly, a James Bond spoof played to stiff, campy perfection by the late David Warbeck. Wild adventures ensue!
