English Channel.
Top shots of the guided missile destroyer battleship HMS Glamorgan at sea. In the control / computer room a man pulls out old-fashioned computer records from a large control cupboard; officers on the bridge look at dials and through binoculars. Various shots in steering, control and engine rooms as the ship moves along. On the flight deck sailors play hockey while others watch and cheer them on. A Navigator on deck looks through a sextant while another officer makes notes. A helicopter is moved from a hanger out onto the deck and prepared for takeoff; firemen in asbestos suits and helmets stand by with a hose; the chopper takes off.
Three young men play guitars and banjos before a television camera in a tiny studio; we hear that the ship has its own closed circuit TV station; good shots of the filming; tape recording machines going round; picture being adjusted. Men in a mess room watch the performance on the television while they have a pint. Several shots of the sailors getting their rum rations. Various shots in the kitchens show food being prepared and served into the sailors mess tins; good canteen and catering shots (most of the food looks pretty unappetising). In the sick bay a sailor gets a shot in the arm from a Naval doctor.
Several shots of the radar antennae on the ship and the men looking at the radar scanner screens in the control room. Men in protective gloves and hood loads shells in the gun turret; M/Ss of the huge guns on the ship being fired. Several shots show the count down for Seaslug missiles to be fired; men at control panels look at dials and radar screens; an officer counts down into a microphone (mute). Complicated boards of buttons show the location of the missiles, intercut with shots of the missiles moving into position by electronic instruction. The missiles move into the launchers on deck and are fired; men watch their progress on a radar screen. Another launcher moves into position; L/S of the ship as the missiles are fired.

Time To Enjoy The World Project:
With this project we aim to give all information a student might need before to go abroad to a period of studies.
We will show the city and the school, we'll live and experience from a student point of view so we can pass forward our own experience and from our colleagues as well.
We will share with everyone our difficulties in learning the language and the reality of being miles away from home.
Of course this is a very personal opinion so we will try and be fair and ask our colleagues to share their thoughts as well.
You will enjoy with us trying new tastes, senses, having new experiences and making the most of our time.

Swansea, officially the City and County of Swansea, is a coastal city and county in Wales. It is Wales's second largest city. Swansea lies within the historic county boundaries of Glamorgan. Situated on the sandy South West Wales coast, the county area includes the Gower Peninsula and the Lliw uplands. The City and County of Swansea had a population of 239,000 in 2011, making it the second most populous local authority area in Wales after Cardiff. During its 19th-century industrial heyday, Swansea was a key centre of the copper industry, earning the nickname 'Copperopolis'. The port of Swansea initially traded in wine, hides, wool, cloth and later in coal. As the Industrial Revolution reached Wales,
the combination of port, local coal, and trading links with the West Country, Cornwall and Devon, meant that Swansea was the logical place to site copper smelting works. Smelters were operating by 1720 and proliferated. Following this, more coal mines (everywhere from north-east Gower to Clyne and Llangyfelach) were opened and smelters (mostly along the Tawe valley) were opened and flourished. Over the next century and a half, works were established to process arsenic, zinc and tin and to create tinplate and pottery.
The city expanded rapidly in the 18th and 19th centuries, and was termed "Copperopolis".
From the late 17th century to 1801, Swansea's population grew by 500% — the first official census (in 1841) indicated that, with 6,099 inhabitants, Swansea had become significantly larger than Glamorgan's county town, Cardiff, and was the second most populous town in Wales behind Merthyr Tydfil (which had a population of 7,705). However, the census understated Swansea's true size, as much of the built-up area lay outside the contemporary boundaries of the borough; the total population was actually 10,117. Swansea's population was later overtaken by Merthyr in 1821 and by Cardiff in 1881, although in the latter year Swansea once again surpassed Merthyr. Much of Swansea's growth was due to migration from within and beyond Wales in 1881, more than a third of the borough's population had been born outside Swansea and Glamorgan, and just under a quarter outside Wales. Through the 20th century, heavy industries in the town declined, leaving the Lower Swansea Valley filled with derelict works and mounds of waste products from them. The Lower Swansea Valley Scheme (which still continues) reclaimed much of the land. The present Enterprise Zone was the result and, of the many original docks, only those outside the city continue to work as docks; North Dock is now Parc Tawe and South Dock became the Marina. Little city-centre evidence, beyond parts of the road layout, remains from medieval Swansea; its industrial importance made it the target of bombing, known as the Blitz in World War II, and the centre was flattened completely. The city has three Grade One listed buildings, these being the Guildhall, Swansea Castle and the Morriston Tabernacle. Whilst the city itself has a long history, many of the city centre buildings are post-war as much of the original centre was destroyed by World War II bombing on the 19th, 20th and 21 February 1941 (the 'Three Nights Blitz'). Within the city centre are the ruins of the castle, the Marina, the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea Museum, the Dylan Thomas Centre, the Environment Centre, and the Market, which is the largest covered market in Wales. It backs onto the Quadrant Shopping Centre which opened in 1978 and the adjoining St David's Centre opened in 1982. Other notable modern buildings are the BT Tower (formerly the GPO tower)
built around 1970, Alexandra House opened in 1976, County Hall opened in July 1982. Swansea Leisure Centre opened in 1977; it has undergone extensive refurbishment which retained elements of the original structure and re-opened in March 2008. Swansea was granted city status in 1969, to mark Prince Charles's investiture as the Prince of Wales.

Business Details
Busy Sports Bar Business For Sale in Merthyr Tydfil Mid Glamorgan Wales
Merthyr Tydfil, Mid Glamorgan, Wales
Advert Ref: 2313
Business Description
Preferred Commercial is delighted to offer for sale this busy sports bar, which was established in 1900 and has been in our client's careful hands since 2006. The pub is only now offered to the market due to our client's other business interests. The premises are well-equipped to suit the trade with a large bar with 12 points of dispense, DJ mixing desk and 5 flat screen TVs. The business benefits from a constant high footfall from people visiting the town centre. The bar has an excellent reputation and enjoys much repeat trade and word of mouth recommendations. The premises boast large self-contained 5-bedrooms owner's accommodation over the first and second floors and large beer garden to rear with smoking shelter. Our client currently offers bar services all day, screens sporting events and offers entertainment. The business trades all year round and generates a turnover in the region of £275,000 with a gross profit of 57%. We feel this could be further increased by offering a daytime food menu. The new owner could, if desired establish a simple marketing campaign to generate more trade. This is an ideal opportunity to acquire an already busy sports bar with 5-bedroom owner's accommodation and huge scope for future development. Early negotiations with Preferred Commercial must come highly recommended.

A guerrilla style travel show in time to celebrate the first anniversary of the Wales Coast Path. I'm releasing Part 1 from the historic town of Chepstow, in Monmouthshire, to the coastal town of Llantwit Major in the Vale of Glamorgan, with a unique rating for each section to share the level of difficulty of each. An afternoon walk along Penarth Pier, for example, is rated as "a small portion of chips", while the more strenuous walk on the cliff path near Llantwit Major is described as "worthy of pub lunches all round".

Buy two houses, reduce your mortgage.
OPTIONS...take a look at this... bring the extended family plus the tenants plus the teenagers!...
INVESTORS return around $1,100.00 per week.
Rarely do we have such a substantial home and income like this one being offered to the market...
The main home caters for all the family... 3 bedrooms, plus rumpus, plus sleepout plus sea view.
The income offers three bedrooms...
This is a 'top earner' and a MUST to view!
Location is awesome, a meander to shops, beaches and fabulous schools - see you at the open home!
