Secluded cabin, peaceful at night: Araluen - Sustainable House in Main Arm

Description

A craftsman built eco cabin cleverly made from recycled and reclaimed materials. Stylish design and functional spaces in a spectacular setting at the top of the mountain abutting the national park. The cabin is nestled on an elevated ridge, within 30 acres at the top of the Brunswick River. Natural waterfalls and forest trails are right at the doorstep.

Guest Access

Guests will have full use of the cabin and garden area. You will have the use of the outdoor areas on both the north and south side of the cabin including a private secluded deck looking across to the escarpment and a sunny lawn area.

Interaction with Guests

The owner, David, lives in the main house on the ridge and will be available to assist with your needs. David will be very happy to introduce you to the resident wildlife, provide a walking tour of the trails around the property, directions to the waterfall in the national park, or tips on where the yummiest pastries can be found in town.


Getting Around

50 mins to Gold Coast Airport, 20 mins to Mullumbimby, 30 minutes to Brunswick Heads and Tyagarah and beautiful beaches, 40 mins to Byron Bay and Bangalow, 20 minutes to Uki, 25 Minutes to Murwillumbah.
Other Things to Note

The property is within a designated nature conservation area and is the subject of a careful ecological management plan. We ask that you respect the local habitat by keeping to the trails and enjoying the wildlife with quiet observation from a distance.

House Rules

Smoking on the outside deck area is OK but please No Smoking within the house. This is not a location suited to children or pets and so we request that you leave them at home if you plan to visit. The valley is a peaceful place so please keep noise to a minimum, particularly after 10pm.
