Step by step directions for Nail
Art Design "Aquarium under Half Moon"
1.
Once the nail is prepared, build an almond shape with Cover it up
Medium dark pink over the nail bed.
2.
Prepare all the colors and liquid to be used. Since we will be using the "Color Shots" technique, follow the color shot mix.
Mix: Pour some of your favorite nail liquid in two clear small dappen dishes (less than half in each) and 2 drops of
Little Black Dress polish in one and 2 drops of Got the blues in the other. Mix well. To test color intensity dip and take a small clear ball, if is to light and want more color then add another drop of polish. To achieve a translucency effect 2 drops and for more opaque effects
3-5 drops.
3. Pour some of your favorite liquid in the White Dappen
Dish.
4. a.
Start the application by dipping your brush into the black color shot liquid and grab a ball of the clear powder.
Touch the ball in the Grape Spritzer and place in the smile area.
Softly fade it down.
b. Dip your brush into the blue green color shot liquid and grab a small clear ball and place it by the Grape Spritzer application.
c. Dip into regular liquid and pick a clear ball. Touch the
Peach blossom and apply at the end of the nail. Immediately pick a smaller ball of clear and dip into Peach Fizz Dazzle Rocks glitter and place on top the previous peach one.
5.
Fish application:
a. Using the 3D brush, pick a big ball of the
Peach Blossom and dip into the Neon
Orange.
Place and flatten to create the body of the fish.
b. Pick a smaller ball using the previous colors and place at the end of the body of the fish and open it as you would for a petal. With the pointy tweezers create some demarcations on the tail.
c. For the top fin, take a tiny blue ball and dip into the lavender. Place on the upper part of the fish body.
Create impressions with the pointy tweezers for a realistic look.
d. For the bottom fin, take a tiny blue ball and dip in the magenta and place on the bottom of the fish.
Mark it as you did with the others.
e. Apply 2 super tiny balls with the neon pink to create the lips and a few more on the body of the fish for decorations.
e. Use white and black watercolors to add the finishing details of the fish with your Bold
Striper
f. Take a big clear ball to encapsulate the whole design.
6. Once the nail is dry file the nail with a 180 Zebra file.
7.
Buff with a Clean Finish buffer.
8. Pick a small clear ball and dip into the Sparkling ice Dazzle Rocks glitter and place close to the
cuticle area to build a flat 3D half moon
9. Use the bold striper and with your favorite colors create final details.
10.
Seal the nail with Top Gel+.
Cure for 2 minutes under a UV light or 1 minute under an
LED light. 11. Apply enough Clean-It
Solution on a Wipe-It towelette to thoroughly clean the entire surface of the
nail.
12. To finish, apply Tammy Taylor Conditioning Cuticle Oil to nourish the nail. -
