Dannic, the highly prodigious DJ and producer from Breda in the Netherlands – the hometown of Tiësto and Hardwell - is one of the hottest acts to have emerged from the new generation of Dutch artists breaking through in recent years. His phenomenal rise of 44 places to take the #30 spot in the 2014 Top 100 DJ Poll confirms to tastemakers that he is set to remain a driving force within the scene. Debuting in the 2013 edition of the Top 100 DJs Poll at #74, forcing his way to the forefront of the booming electronic scene, Dannic has managed to cast off previous associations and step forward as a respected artist in his own right, repeatedly blowing away fans with a slew of sensational releases, collaborations and of course, titanic DJ shows.
Daan Romers (in real life) won the Dancetour DJ contest in 2009 and a slot playing his productions to an audience of 10,000 people. Having started out as a DJ 10 years ago Dannic earned his stripes the old fashioned way, playing bars and small clubs, honing his craft. As Dannic says “It's funny because a lot of people know me as a producer but I like to see myself as a DJ who started producing”. It was only when he wanted to set himself apart from other DJs that he began experimenting with production and creating mash-ups to add something special
Dannic has repeatedly demonstrated to colossal audiences, whilst on tour, his skills and tight technique as a DJ. His ability to read the crowd shone through proving he can mix it with the world’s best, as he delivered sets varying from peak time madness to low slung, sexy, funky grooves. With the pinnacle of the tour being a main stage set at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Dannic has undeniably joined the upper echelons of the dance music scene. This unrelenting schedule has been interspersed with dates across the globe and appearances at the summer’s hottest festivals including spell binding sets at Electric Zoo, Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, Dance Valley and TomorrowWorld.
As 2014 kicked off, Dannic returned to Revealed Recordings, where he released his first record just a few short years ago, to lay down his first release on the label since mid-2013. ‘Lion’ carries Dannics distinctive musical fingerprint throughout its raucous build up and breakdowns. Yet again Dannic is showing his ability at finely tuning his tracks to make them perfect for the dancefloor. Following on from ‘Blueprint’, this record seems certain to be a mainstay in sets from the scenes leading DJs for the foreseeable future. Releasing his first vocal track ‘Dear Life’, on Revealed Recordings, at this time made it an instant fan favourite. Featuring the haunting vocals of famed EDM vocalists Bright Lights, Dannic had created something which created the ideal synergy between himself and his fans, club focused the track brings instant energy to any party. Followed quickly by his and Dyro’s highly anticipated co-production, which took its name from their Miami party, Radical was a highlight of their now infamous B2B2B set with Hardwell at Ultra Music Festival. His most recent release, Zenith, the follow up to his first vocal track with Bright Lights, has again surpassed expectations and was one of the most sought after tracks on the recent Hardwell Presents Revealed Vol.5 compilation.
Throughout the first half of 2014 Dannic spread his wings as a fully-fledged touring DJ. Now a mainstay on the biggest festival stages the world over, as well as having just confirmed his first residency in Las Vegas at super club The Light, Dannic has matured on not only the dancefloor circuit but with his fanbase too – a base which currently sees him having almost 200k followers on Twitter and over 700k ‘Likes’ on Facebook. With a hugely successful WMC behind him, where he laid down a marker performing at Hardwell Presents Revealed at Mansion, co-hosting his own party alongside long time friend and label mate Dyro.

As today’s fledging house revival attains new heights so does the difficulty in standing out amid its thriving pool of talents, however Sonny Fodera continues to scale the mounting hierarchy whilst making it look easy. Sonny Fodera has had an impeccable 2013 with releases on a slew of today’s biggest house labels including a debut album, Moving Forward, on the reputable Cajual Records. Renowned for his smooth technical mixing, last year saw Fodera play at some of the world’s greatest clubs such as Air, Ministry of Sound, DC10, Booom! as well as a residency at Ushuaia Tower.
Sonny’s journey as a producer begun at the tender age of 16 when he was making Hip Hop, but it was not until the likes of Derrick Carter, Inland Knights and James Curd visited his homeland that his passion for four-four took firm shape. Fast forward in time and the budding 27 year old has stood shoulder to shoulder with his inspirational heroes of whom now all credit him for his dexterity both behind the decks and in the studio with Fodera receiving praise from some of the genres most established veterans, from Cajmere to Derrick Carter all the way to the ‘Godfather of House’ Frankie Knuckles.

Black Coffee & Better Looking Half LIVE From DJ Mag HQ

Subscribe to DJ Mag TV: http://bit.ly/Oduqwo
Considering his meteoric rise to fame, it would be easy to stereotype Black Coffee as just another black diamond, a BEE beat magnet out to mine the insatiable upwardly mobile urban house party market. But as he proved on his South African Music Award-winning album Home Brewed, this DJ and producer defies convention. Sidestepping Afro-house clichés and stage-managed highs in favour of restrained sophistication, Black Coffee's penchant is for true Afropolitan house: home-brewed but trendsetting and future-focused. Expect almost sculptural balance and beauty.
If one heard a clamour and ululating emanating from the eastern provinces of South Africa, KwaZulu Natal and the Eastern Cape, announcing the recognition of a cultural phenomenon.. and their role in the development of this cultural phenomenon.. one could not argue were that clamour and ululating to be in respect of one.. that is the soul, spirit, talent and vision of Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, one most known as “Black Coffee”.
Black Coffee was born in Durban in KwaZulu Natal and grew up in the Eastern Cape in Mthatha, before moving back to Durban to study music at Natal Tech where he majored in Jazz. His reason for studying music was because he felt that as a producer, he had to deepen his overall musical knowledge, develop his listening skills and advance his knowledge of music theory. Leaving Tech prior to completion of his studies, Black Coffee with two friends Thandukwazi “Demor” Sikhosana and Mnqobi “Shota” Mdabe worked as backup vocalists for the renowned Madala Kunene. Deciding then to form an urban soul trio “Shana” the three moved to Johannesburg to make their way.
Keeping ‘Simply hot and naturally African’ (the meaning of ‘Shana’) together as an ongoing project, the three also pursued their individual visions, collaborating on the way.
Black Coffee was chosen as one of two South African participants in the Red Bull Music Academy in 2003 jump-starting him into the South African DJ scene - a decision he says he has never looked back on. His first big break was when his song “Happiness” was featured on the DJs at Work album.
2005, the same year as the release of Black Coffee’s powerful debut album ‘Black Coffee’ saw the birth and formation of Soulistic Music, Black Coffee’s wholly owned 360° corporate structure, his team’s home base and the jump-off point for himself, and as time has evidenced for many others too.
Black Coffee revealed that his first album was created using very basic music-making software. “I don't know how to explain the production stages of my album because all I did was put down the basic ideas that I had, I didn't use any MIDI controllers everything was played with a computer mouse. He added that the use of live instruments in a song is also very important, giving a track that final magic touch and bringing it to life.
A view through the Black Coffee ‘lens’, at the end of 2011, confirms a delightful, fresh and truly heart warming vista of dynamic and exciting creative production, glimpses of a genius unfolding and degree’s of difficulty, challenge and hardship.
To many Black Coffee has led the ‘house music’ way.. establishing since a global pre-eminence in vocal house music.. and a business approach structured to unlock the plethora of opportunities offered by a converged digital realm driven by the songs and their performance.
Reserved, studiously academic, inventive, imaginative, quiet, enigmatic, shy and bold are but of the few ways in which many across the world perceive Black Coffee. No matter how he is seen he remains one of the very few club DJs in the country who genuinely understands the precise function of a music deejay: he does not simply re-mix songs, he re-interprets their previously unimagined musical possibilities, adapting and arranging as each work advises and quietly creating new works that give life. When he debuted with his interpretation of Hugh Masekela’s rambunctious jazz hit Stimela (2005 original South African release, 2008 UK release), Black Coffee simply demonstrated how it was possible to re-work the South African canon music vault into club music, creating works that were acceptable to both the youth and the old, a feat not easily achievable. It has required a decidedly original-inclined, singular mind such as that of Black Coffee to be able to pursue this kinf of music trajectory and the gold and platinum awards since are testimony to his resolve .

Miguel has been galvanised by the house music scene since the early 90's and has also been a DJ since that time. Miguel began producing his own music as one 'half' of the underground duo HCB.
In 2006 he founded his own label Outcross Records, which became a home for his music. Teaming up with fellow Leeds resident Matt Hughes to form MAM, a duo that has remixed the likes of the Imany, Deadmau5 and Flight Facilities, as well as putting out releases via Wolf+Lamb, Future Classic and Outcross itself.
In 2010 he became the newest addition to the Hot Creations team and went on to pick up international recognition, capturing the imaginations of party people the world over.
Miguel's forward march continues as he refuses to relent, working on more music, including recent remixes for Basement Jaxx & RÜFÜS and continuing to travel to foreign shores, spreading his unique brand of funk around the world.

From the North of England to dance floors across the globe, Josh Butler has made serious headway with his high caliber house sound. Cut from the outspoken West Yorkshire club circuit and propelled towards the forefront of global club land’s next generation, an early affliction with solid club hits has made his name an essential one. Two stints for MTA Records and remix duties for both Chase & Status in tow, Butler is leading the charge towards a new precedent in the underground sound.
Inaugurated into the world of music production at the tender age of 12, a passion for music and such early entertainment platforms as Music for Playstation and eJay were quickly transitioned into an early-rising understanding of Reason. His teenage years took him to New Zealand, offering a quiet and concentrated space in which Butler could hone his senses to craft with little in the way of distraction. As a student, Leeds helped Josh put two and two together, making up for lost time with a steady uprising of the city’s beloved nightspots that primed the taste buds for impending global ascendancy.
The sound of Josh Butler is a club lover’s affair. Infatuated by the prospect of making people move and taking like minds into the early hours with intense club cuts, a packed room and a good vibe is what truly summoned Butler to the cause. At the dawn of 2013, there was no intention of global explosion behind stripped back MTA debut “Got A Feeling.” In foresight, the track invariably proved to be Josh’s breakout into the industry’s field of vision, racking remix duties from Ben Pearce and Bontan along the way. Likewise, the Leeds-based breakout had little time to consider that eight months down the line, his “Closer” / “Keep Movin” would receive a heroes welcome from tastemakers at every possible avenue. The industry perked an ear, Pete Tong gave his seal of approval on the BBC airwaves and before long, Butler had become the household name that everyone from Steve Lawler to Heidi was championing.
On home territory, Josh has become something of an ambassador to the next generation of integral house advocates. True to the momentum of his releases, the past two years have seen global ears have prick to this groove favoring talent. Scaling Ibiza, Lyon, Vienna, Kiev and Switzerland with his concentrated clubbing experience, Butler’s playing field is growing bigger by the month – much like the size of the crowds now flocking to hear what all the fuss is about.
Championed for underground impact and savored for his ‘less is more’ approach, the year ahead is showing little sign of slowing down for Warrington’s worst kept secret. From here, Josh Butler is all about building that positive momentum towards new and compelling heights. Past the No Thrills EP for MadTech, his is timeline racking impressive aspirations for the global dance community. He’s got global ventures on the mind, high brow remix duties to unfold and of course, a pledge to keep dance music in the hands of those who truly savor the art over its mainstream properties. Proving that familiarity can still be fresh and ability is in the control of its beholder, Josh Butler is a force to be reckoned with on the European front.

Joshua Kierkegaard G. Steele, better known by his stage name Flux Pavilion, is an English dance music record producer, singer-songwriter, DJ and label owner who has been performing since 2008. He plays the drums, guitar, saxophone and piano.
Flux Pavilion has headlined three US tours, two UK tours, and several festival DJ sets, including Glastonbury, Reading, Coachella, and EDC Vegas. He has also made live performances with Example, Foreign Beggars and Chiddy Bang. Flux has listed his sound to be inspired by The Prodigy and Rusko.
Influenced by the likes of David Bowie, The Beatles and Frank Zappa in the early years, it was when he heard 90's phenomena The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers that Flux Pavilion knew he had found a musical direction he truly wanted to explore for himself. A deluge of musical projects followed, writing instrumental hip hop and dirty drum & bass, joining local bands and producing for other acts all while studying at university. But the major turning point for the musician was a visit to London super club Fabric:
"I never went to clubs because I didn't feel accepted into that scene; it felt too showy, too well-groomed. Then I saw Rusko play at Fabric and it changed my perception of everything. He was jumping around wearing a big cardboard hat shaped like a bird playing the most outrageous music I had ever heard. I loved it."

Rarely have we seen someone rise through the ranks as quickly as Boris Daenen, a.k.a Netsky. Leading a wave of new skool D+B talent from Europe with his blend of uplifting, melancholic melodies and heavy dancefloor bass + beats, Netsky’s popularity is astounding. A celebrity in his own country, he has received numerous awards and accolades and continues to impress audiences across the world with his Netsky LIVE! show with full band.
Netsky signed exclusively to Hospital in late 2009; his first release was the iconic “Memory Lane” (as featured on “Sick Music 2″ in 2010) and this was swiftly followed up by his chart topping debut album – “Netsky”– in May of the same year. Following virtually unanimous praise and hype from all corners of the globe, it plunged Netsky firmly into the limelight, where he has remained ever since, delivering a potent mix of dancefloor anthems, vocal led classics and that clean cut new jungle sound which has become his trademark.
Since then, Netsky’s profile as a remixer has been affirmed by his huge remixes of ubiquitous club anthems such as Pendulum – “Witchcraft”, Plan B, Leftfield – “Release The Pressure”, Audio Bullies – “Only Man”, Swedish House Mafia – “One”, Jessie J – “Nobody’s Perfect” and Rusko – “Everyday” and more.
Alongside all this, is Netsky’s hectic DJ schedule and he seems to have a Midas touch, able to transform even the most subdued of parties into an ecstatic, bouncing rave within a matter of minutes. It is no coincidence that he was nominated for the Radio One ‘Essential Mix Of The Year’ in 2010.
In April 2012, Netsky unveiled the incredibly impressive Netsky LIVE! show at Hospitality Brixton – a full live show with a band which he continues to tour the world with, having completed tours of the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Europe. The highly anticipated sophomore album “2” landed late in June 2012 and immediately hit the UK Top 30 and No. 1 in his home country of Belgium, later going on to reach platinum sales. 2013 has seen the ascension of Netsky LIVE! to even greater heights, with a highlight being the sell-out stadium show at the Lotto Arena in April. One thing’s for sure, 2013 is looking to be another golden year for Belgium’s premium D+B export.

To have achieved what Danny Avila has at the age of 20 is phenomenal enough. But to have done it with such integrity and passion is something even more special. With a feisty production sound that has seen him release music on Interscope, Sony/Columbia, Spinnin’ Records, Dim Mak and Musical Freedom and a similarly varied unique DJ style that takes in techno, house and EDM, he is a breath of fresh air in a world where too many artists are happy to stick to a single formula. Danny Avila is passionate about music, and it shows. In Danny’s eyes, dj’ing is a form of art, and a way to take people on a journey. This mentality has been a rewarding one to say the least; his #60 position in the revered DJ Mag Top 100 2015 is the perfect validation. What’s even more remarkable is that Danny is the only Spanish DJ in the entire list. On top of that, he’s one in three of the list that’s under the age of 21, alongside Martin Garrix and Oliver Heldens. After starting DJing in his native Marbella at 12 and producing from the age of 13, Danny moved to Madrid aged just 14 to cut his teeth on the city’s club scene, with the prodigious talent scoring gigs before he was legally allowed into clubs. “I knew it was going to be hard,” he says “but there was just nowhere for me to get any real experience playing out in Marbella and I’ve never let my age stop me doing anything. My older brother spoke to local promoters for me and that’s how I started getting my very first gigs. Tiësto soon followed suit, personally requesting Danny to play alongside him at Pacha Ibiza. “He’s smart, respectful, knows his music and most importantly knows how to give the crowd what they came to hear” says the legendary DJ.
“He’s a super talent dj and he knows how to read the crowds. He can play any style of music, playing for 1 hour, playing for 10 hours. doesn’t really matter. I see in him how I was when I was his age. He’s a burst of energy!”. It’s this exact mentality that remains an integral part of Danny Avila’s talent. The combination of a high amount of energy and a unique skill in reading the crowd have created a performance unlike any other, taking the crowd on a journey through different genres and emotions. Together with Tiësto, Danny toured across Asia, North America and Europe, and later again alongside Calvin Harris on the ‘Greater Than Tour’ arena series – which sold-out tens of thousands of tickets in a matter of hours. He was also part of a bus tour through the US, during which he headlined 28 gigs over the course of just 30 days. He continues to play a staggering diversity of shows across the world, from mega festivals like Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, EDC, Electric Zoo, Creamfields, TomorrowWorld, ZoukOut, Parookaville, Mare Nostrum and Nature One, to LIV Miami and Space New York, and the legendary Life In Colour shows. Danny’s presence in Las Vegas has been outstanding to say the least, he’s had residencies in the biggest venues in town, from Hakkasan to SLS, performing his first shows with only 17. As if Danny hasn’t been keeping busy enough, his ‘MORE’ side-project has been kicked off last summer in Barcelona. Hosting a three-month residency at Pacha Barcelona, he showcased his genre-bending concept. With MORE, Danny takes the attendees on a musical journey with no boundaries in genres. MORE stands for multiple genres, seamlessly mixed together as if they were one and Danny Avila perfectly executed this feat. Combining the residency with a staggering amount of fifty separate shows during the summer of 2015 is more proof of Danny’s resilience. After becoming Sirius XM’s youngest-ever prime-time DJ with his ‘Ready To Jump’ show, his monthly MORE show is gaining plaudits thanks to its eclectic programming. He also counts three compilations to his name: ‘Ministry of Sound presents: Danny Avila Live’, Space Ibiza’s ‘Ibiza Calling’ and DJ Mag UK Danny Avila’s Big Room Mix. Danny was the youngest artist to ever make the cover mount CD for DJ Mag UK. Space Ibiza and Ministry of Sound, two internationally acclaimed brands reaching out to Danny Avila at such a young age is truly an unparalleled accomplishment. The rousing ‘Close Your Eyes (Parookaville Anthem)’ has made a major impact in 2015, having also released his top track ‘Cream’ together with Tujamo at Spinnin’ which garnered over a million views within three days and held a Beatport Top 10 position for over six weeks. To top of his extremely long list of musical achievements, Danny Avila has collaborated with world-renowned fashion brand tigha, who approached him due to his extravagant style.

Grammy Award nominated DJ/Producer Todd Terry has been engulfed in dance music since he first started listening to European dance music records while growing up in Brooklyn. Already devoted to turntables, he heard something different in those tracks, and he “went for the difference". "I never got a break in New York, but England happened right away, so I catered to them.” In any event, the Todd Terry sound was born. By 1988, Todd Terry hit big in England and Europe, and his notoriety was making its way back to the U.S. In addition to DJ appearances, Todd was cutting his classic underground tracks A Day In The Life, Weekend, and Can You Party, released under monikers such as the Todd Terry Project, House Of Gypsies, and Royal House, all considered essential and ground breaking. In the mid 90’s, the Ministry of Sound’s eponymous UK label released A Day In The Life, a collection of Todd Terry tracks that had been causing dance floor panic. That then led the way to a deal with Mercury Records allowing him to set up a context in which to work with his favorite singers and performers. The first release, Keep On Jumpin’ on featured a vocal workout from super-divas Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown, together for the first time ever. The song became a top 10 UK crossover pop hit and worldwide smash. Todd followed with the anthem ‘Something Going On’, a top 5 UK crossover pop hit. All the while, Todd continued to break new ground as a Producer/Remixer. From SNAP to Annie Lennox to George Michael to Bjork, Todd’s mixes bridge the ground between club cool and commercial accessibility. In 1995, his remix for Everything But The Girl’s Missing became a worldwide smash, giving the British duo their first ever hit. He then rode the charts with mixes for Garbage (Stupid Girl), The Cardigans (Love Fool), Everything But The Girl (Wrong), 10,000 Maniacs (More Than This), Jamiroquai (Alright), The Cardigans (Been It), and The Lightning Seeds (You Showed Me),.among others. He also produced a Robin S track (Givin’ You All That I’ve Got) for the multi-platinum Space Jam soundtrack. INK/Distinctive Records 2005 release The Todd Terry Trilogy: Past, Present & Future on 3 x CD & 10 x 12” vinyl has inspired Todd fans both old and new with over 30 Todd classics and 10 new Todd songs. Todd is also releasing a barrage of new singles on Blanco y Negro, Elementary Group, and Manifesto/Mercury (who are also re-releasing the ‘Keep On Jumpin’ and ‘Something Going On’ in 2006). Ministry of Sound has licensed Philippe B Vs. Todd Terry ‘Can You Feel It (Can You Party)’ for a major 2006 release, a new version of the Todd classic Royal House ‘Can You Party’. Todd Terry All Stars feat. Kenny Dope, DJ Sneak, Terry Hunter, & Tara McDonald’s ‘Get Down’ will be released in 2007 on Strictly Rhythm. This red hot single is the first proper original release on the re-launched legendary label. ‘Strictly Todd Terry’ compilation mixed by Todd Terry will be released in 2007 on Strictly Rhythm. Todd’s mix follows installments by Masters at Work and Tiefschwarz in this newly launched series. Todd is one of the world’s most celebrated figures in dance music. With almost two decades of dance floor domination under Todd’s belt the quality of his productions goes from strength to strength. Welcome to the church of house music presided over by Todd the God. One of House music’s true pioneers, DJ Sneak has the passion and drive to keep House music alive.
Self-proclaimed House Gangster, Sneak has helped shape the course of dance music since the early 90s; his early music influencing the likes of Daft Punk, Bassment Jaxx and Armand Van Helden.
His signature sounds – funky filtered disco-influenced house and tough, jacking beats – have revolutionized and redefined house music for well over 15 years.
Having begun his DJ’ing career in 1983, Sneak continues to be at the top of his game: non stop beat bumpin’ sets are a one of a kind experience in the electronic music circuit and a barrage of top quality releases over the last 20 years have culminated and just keep on coming.

About Shiba San:
In recent times Shiba San has garnered a lot of positive attention from every corner, with one foot in his hip hop past and the other embracing the future of house he has found a comfortable collision of the two in bass heavy ghetto funk. And associations with both Claude Von Stroke’s Dirtybird label and AMINE & Dance’s Cuff certainly haven’t hurt.
His recent release “Okay” effortlessly became a contender for our 2014 summer soundtrack, and it’s currently making some serious rounds on the club circuit, shooting straight to the top on Beatport’s House chart and coming in at numero 3 on the overall rankings provides – a clear indicator of the power behind this low slung rumbler. As if hearing the track yourself wouldn’t confirm that!
About Sam Divine:
It’s fair to say that Shiba San is primed and ready to blow. You can’t escape the feeling that this could be the start of something big.
Long associated with the legendary Defected Records, Sam Divine has come a long way since being a record shop employee having spent the last seven years being a key component to the White Isle’s party scene. Her travels have seen her tour throughout Europe as well as Brazil, Chile, Japan and Dominican Republic, with festival highlights including We Are FSTVL (UK) and Pacha Festival (The Netherlands) as well as securing a three year residency at Ushuaia, Ibiza. Without doubt one of the most popular and passionate DJs on the circuit, Sam Divine is a guaranteed floor-filler and party starter.
Divine’s DJ career initially kicked off when she won a DJ competition in Bristol which led to a club residency. Massively in to her soulful house she began working in record shops such as Chemical Records as a house buyer where she gained most of her music and industry knowledge. It was these moments where she realised her life and house music were inseparable. ‘The warehouse was underneath the offices’ she explains, ‘so I used to spend hours down there rummaging through the vinyls on my lunch break’.
After her first season in Ibiza during 2005 Sam decided to move to London, back then the heart of the country’s soulful house, in what she deems as the most important decision in her career. The following year she touched back down in Ibiza, her home for many summers to come, having earned her residencies at many of the islands hotspots.
It was in 2009 when Sam Divine was signed to Defected’s artist management where she then began warming up every week at Mambo for house legends such as Kenny Dope and Frankie Knuckles and also had her own weekly Defected show on Ibiza global radio. It wasn’t long before Divine transformed into an international sensation, playing all around the world in many of its greatest venues.
This year marks her third residency at Ushuaia in Ibiza and now with over a decade of DJ experience she still praises her favourite party as being the Defected Opening Party at Ushuaia in 2011. ‘I’ve always supported Defected, it’s been my sound from day one and I’m so honored and grateful to be part of the House music legacy they’ve created.’
Divine’s sets are a blend of Deep ,Vocal and Balearic house and with a solid experienced understanding of the entire house genre guarantees tasteful and exciting performances and this year sees her playing alongside Sandy Rivera, Noir, Dennis Ferrer, Joris Voorn, Pirupa, Flashmob, Supernova, Maxxi Soundsystem, Osunlade, David Morales, Dimitri From Paris, Copyright and many more.
In addition to a booming DJ career, Sam is also an ambassador for Breast Cancer Research thanks to her annual charity night La Vita of which 25 female DJs helped to launch. This year marks La Vita’s 6th birthday in Ibiza and London, and so far its success has helped to raise over £27,000.
In an industry where many artists are praised for their efforts and determination Sam Divine shines brightly as a true example of diligence. She is the personification of someone who genuinely possesses such traits and this is evident in her countless achievements in such a short time span. Her unrivalled work ethic is displayed through her animated and dexterous DJ sets of which continue to build her an ever growing loyal fan base. She is in our eyes an icon for inspiration of what you can achieve if you pour your heart into something you adore.

Hard Times next upcoming event is Saturday 5th December at Mint Warehouse. https://goo.gl/r7rDKe
2015 is proving to be one of Roger Sanchez’s most creative and prolific years to date, with the continued success of his S-Man moniker, and the first releases under his own name for some time.
Following the return of his S-Man alter-ego in 2014, the huge ‘Remember Me’ (feat Stealth) as Roger Sanchez , relaunched his Stealth Recordings label, and grew from Pete Tong’s Essential New tune into a global radio and club hit, picking up deals with Ministry Of Sound - Australia, Ego - Italy, We Play - Germany, Blanco Y Negro – Spain, and beyond.
Current remixes for Apres’s ‘Chicago’ (a Buzz Chart No.1 and Radio 1 specialist favourite) and Mystery Skulls feat Brandy & Nile Rodgers, have added to a lengthy, and illustrious mix discography featuring legends like Madonna and George Clinton.
His DJ shows have also gone into overdrive across all five continents, demonstrating a growing hunger for his characteristic take on house music. In the club he mixes up the likes of new stars Dusky and Huxley with the next level, underground gems he sources from labels and producers across the world, crafted with the kind of experience that only comes from two decades of DJing. The same fervent, crate-digging attitude he’s always been known for can also be found on his radio show, where he champions new talent and obscure tracks he picks up on his travels, having first roadtested them in the booth.
His label, UNDR THE RADR, launched in 2014 with his own ‘Dangerous Thoughts’ track (under his S-Man guise), also saw the collaboration ‘Drop The Needle’ with Man Without A Clue & Kevin Knapp. The collaborations with Huxley (‘The Calling’) and Tough Love (‘In The Name Of Love’) followed suit, continuing the theme of exploring new ground that was shown with his ‘Amour’ single for Riva Starr’s Snatch label.
From a humble beginning in NYC to multi-year residencies in Ibiza; from digging in dusty crates to headlining festival main-stages around the world, Roger is truly a self-made man and and dance music star. The crafting of Roger Sanchez, the DJ, started in the late 80s in Corona, Queens, where as a young man he was enticed by the early roots of hip-hop sprouting all over New York. Attending parties by the Bronx River and other jams as a break-dancer and graffiti artist, Sanchez was introduced to DJ’ing through friends, trying his hand in an organic environment where his creativity behind the decks flourished from a few singles into an ambitious catalogue of over two thousand original productions and remixes.
These tracks have not always been under his own name, though. Roger has released music under a slew of monikers, including S-Man, Roger S., The Nu-Solution, Underground Solution, DV8, Ego Trip, El Mariachi, The Funkjunkeez, Tribal Infusion, Twilight, and Transatlantic Soul amongst others. Each new name has allowed him to push his music in unique yet blended directions, allowing him to carve parallel and weaving paths through the tastes of the times while enjoying opportunities to break out of the known.
Anyone who’s DJ’d knows that you have to put in work, both to sharpen your skills and to find those unique cuts that no one else has. Early on, Roger became a dedicated crate digger, searching for obscure samples and break beats in influential NYC record stores like Rock & Soul and Vinylmania.
Formerly a talented student of the arts who attended the Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture, music culture grew to encompass Roger’s life as he began to sell his own mixtapes on the sidewalks of Broadway in order to finance his earliest gigs. With encouragement from his father, an engineer, Roger put his thoughts about a career in architecture on hold and launched himself into music full-time. His first 12-inch, “Dreamworld”, came out on the Outer Limits imprint in 1990 under the name Egotrip. It was around this time, that Sanchez began to take producing seriously as a compliment to his DJ’ing. He soon released “Luv Dancin” for Gladys Pizarro on the iconic Strictly Rhythm records under the name Underground Solution, which led to his first tour.
Roger hasn’t stopped grinding since, using his decades of experience to build enticing remixes for a wide range of artists such as Michael Jackson, The Police, Diana Ross, Jamiroquai, Maroon 5 and even the So-Cal punk-pop outfit, No Doubt, for which he won a Grammy in 2003 for Best Remixed Recording with the song “Hella Good”.
