The Gallardo was my childhood dream car. It been my phone background since the iphone 3g, my bedroom wall poster for many years and always held a special place in my heart. I’ve wanted to review the gallardo since Vehicle Virgins was started in 2011. I spent countless hours imagining the driving dynamics, the insane sound and exotic persona. Today is an extremely special day, because this is the first time I’ve reviewed my own car since the first review I ever made of my BMW M5. I finally own a gallardo and have fallen head over heals in love with the car. So let me tell you a bit about Candice.
The beginning of German ownership gave birth to the Lamborghini Gallardo, an exotic that challenged and dominated the Ferrari 360. The baby bull that was just as capable, dynamic and exciting as the Murcielago, the Gallardo brought some amount of practicality and could be driven on a daily basis. Then subsequently rip your face off and deafen all bystanders as the 5 Liter V10 screams to its 8100 RPM redline.
Power sits at 500 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, and with extensive usage of aluminum, the Gallardo actually has the same power to weight ratio as its older brother, the Murcielago. Transmission choices included a traditional six speed manual or E-gear, either choice enable a top speed of 192 mph. 0-60 happens in a blistering 3.9 seconds. The Gallardo is fast. Really fast.
The transmission is savage and I love it. Then the shifts themselves are insane, pulling the lever grants an instantaneous gear change, accompanied with a sharp jolt as the entire car prepares for more mind blowing speed. Place the car in sport mode and anything above half throttle means shifts pop like a dry ice bomb. It thrashes you, it beats you up, and thats what makes it so damn fun. The single clutch system may shift slower than a dual clutch system, but for spirited driving I’d prefer it any day of the week.
Show the Lamborghini a corner and it complies with prestigious grip, the AWD system inspiring confidence. Power has a default split of 30/70 but can send even more to the rear. The car has so much grip I’ve yet to break the tires loose around a corner.
The seating position in the gallardo is fantastic. You sit low and have a great view over the hood. The steering wheel sits just right and the pedals are the perfect amount of firm. The steering is heavy, very heavy. But once you get used to it, the rack provides welcomed confidence. Lamborghini isn’t known for its exquisite handling like its prancing horse rival. But it is really good, I promise you.
The interior of the Gallardo is thankfully well put together. Traditionally supercars seem to have electronics that are completely unusable, and have utterly terrible ergonomics. With Audi ownership, Lamborghini had access to german expertise and more importantly, the Audi parts bin. Everything works properly, and you even get heated seats! The highlight of the center console is the row of fighter jet toggle switches that control everything from the headlights to the windows.
Few cars can match the attention driving a yellow Lamborghini will attract. A combination of exotic looks and thundering V10 will turn the heads of every single person you pass. Thumbs up are frequent, as are the occasional obscene gesture. It is rather pleasing to notice that the majority of attention is positive, we frequently see people smiling or laughing as the car drives past.
The 5L v10 in the gallardo produces some of the most beautiful noise I’ve ever heard. It’s like an extremely loud well tuned symphony. Just listen to this!!
The smile this car puts on my face is immeasurable. Driving it gives me untold pleasure. My friends are scared for my well being. The utmost important part of a car in my opinion is how it makes you feel. Well the Gallardo makes me feel like 10 year old me playing need for speed. Driving it is like playing a video game, its so damn cool it doesn't even seem real. But then I remember it is real, and that makes it even better. I’m driving my childhood dream car right now, and there really aren't many more special things than that. I’ve met my hero, and shes exceeded my expectations. I’m relieved and ecstatic.

I found the perfect Lamborghini Gallardo and bought it at Lamborghini Newport Beach in California. Picking it up at the dealership to drive 1,200 miles home!
It's a 2006 Lamborghini Gallardo with 9,500 miles, 6 speed manual transmission finished in Arancio Borealis. It has a 5.0L V10 that produces 520hp! I am the second owner of the car after the original owner owned it for 10 years.

William Leonard Roberts II (born January 28, 1976), better known by his stage name Rick Ross (often stylized as RICK RO$$), is an American rapper. He derived his stage name from the drug trafficker "Freeway" Ricky Ross, to whom he has no connection. Ross founded the record label Maybach Music Group, on which he released his studio albums Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Don, Ross was also the first artist signed to Diddy's management company Ciroc Entertainment. In early 2012, MTV named Ross as the Hottest MC In The Game.

Mario Mims (born May 19, 1981), better known by his stage name Yo Gotti, is a southern rapper from the northern side of Memphis, Tennessee who was previously known as Lil Yo.
Yo Gotti released a string of independent albums. From Da Dope Game 2 Da Rap Game (2000),Self-Explanatory (2001), Life (2003) and Back 2 da Basics (2006) Yo Gotti became very well known in Memphis after the release of his album Life. The song "Dirty South Soldiers" featuring Lil Jon propelled Gotti into the higher ranks of Memphis rappers. The album Back 2 da Basics had even more success. The singles "I Got 'Em", "Full Time", "Shawty", & "Gangsta Party" featuring 8Ball & MJG solidified his status as one of the top rappers from the city.
Yo Gotti's first studio album is called Live From The Kitchen. The album's original first single was titled ""5 Star"" and it was released on May 20, 2009. The single peaked at 79 on the Hot 100, 19 on U.S R&B and 11 on U.S Rap. "Women Lie, Men Lie" was the second official single released December 11, 2009. The song peaked at 81 on 100, 22 on the U.S R&B and 12 on the U.S Rap. "Look In the Mirror" was the third single released 7 months after his second single on July 27, 2010. The song peaked at 97 on the U.S R&B chart "For the Hood" featured rapper Gucci Mane it was released on October 1, 2010 and charted at 86 on the U.S R&B chart. "We Can Get It On" was released May 10, 2011, and the single featured R&B singer Ciara. It peaked at 40 on the U.S R&B Chart. "Single" was released on August 5, 2011. This song is said to be the first "official" single off the album, all the others would be cut from the album. The second single will be a song with rapper Drake, entitled by "All About Mine", produced by Giarad Fleetwood.

The Gallardo was my childhood dream car. It been my phone background since the iphone 3g, my bedroom wall poster for many years and always held a special place in my heart. I’ve wanted to review the gallardo since Vehicle Virgins was started in 2011. I spent countless hours imagining the driving dynamics, the insane sound and exotic persona. Today is an extremely special day, because this is the first time I’ve reviewed my own car since the first review I ever made of my BMW M5. I finally own a gallardo and have fallen head over heals in love with the car. So let me tell you a bit about Candice.
The beginning of German ownership gave birth to the Lamborghini Gallardo, an exotic that challenged and dominated the Ferrari 360. The baby bull that was just as capable, dynamic and exciting as the Murcielago, the Gallardo brought some amount of practicality and could be driven on a daily basis. Then subsequently rip your face off and deafen all bystanders as the 5 Liter V10 screams to its 8100 RPM redline.
Power sits at 500 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, and with extensive usage of aluminum, the Gallardo actually has the same power to weight ratio as its older brother, the Murcielago. Transmission choices included a traditional six speed manual or E-gear, either choice enable a top speed of 192 mph. 0-60 happens in a blistering 3.9 seconds. The Gallardo is fast. Really fast.
The transmission is savage and I love it. Then the shifts themselves are insane, pulling the lever grants an instantaneous gear change, accompanied with a sharp jolt as the entire car prepares for more mind blowing speed. Place the car in sport mode and anything above half throttle means shifts pop like a dry ice bomb. It thrashes you, it beats you up, and thats what makes it so damn fun. The single clutch system may shift slower than a dual clutch system, but for spirited driving I’d prefer it any day of the week.
Show the Lamborghini a corner and it complies with prestigious grip, the AWD system inspiring confidence. Power has a default split of 30/70 but can send even more to the rear. The car has so much grip I’ve yet to break the tires loose around a corner.
The seating position in the gallardo is fantastic. You sit low and have a great view over the hood. The steering wheel sits just right and the pedals are the perfect amount of firm. The steering is heavy, very heavy. But once you get used to it, the rack provides welcomed confidence. Lamborghini isn’t known for its exquisite handling like its prancing horse rival. But it is really good, I promise you.
The interior of the Gallardo is thankfully well put together. Traditionally supercars seem to have electronics that are completely unusable, and have utterly terrible ergonomics. With Audi ownership, Lamborghini had access to german expertise and more importantly, the Audi parts bin. Everything works properly, and you even get heated seats! The highlight of the center console is the row of fighter jet toggle switches that control everything from the headlights to the windows.
Few cars can match the attention driving a yellow Lamborghini will attract. A combination of exotic looks and thundering V10 will turn the heads of every single person you pass. Thumbs up are frequent, as are the occasional obscene gesture. It is rather pleasing to notice that the majority of attention is positive, we frequently see people smiling or laughing as the car drives past.
The 5L v10 in the gallardo produces some of the most beautiful noise I’ve ever heard. It’s like an extremely loud well tuned symphony. Just listen to this!!
The smile this car puts on my face is immeasurable. Driving it gives me untold pleasure. My friends are scared for my well being. The utmost important part of a car in my opinion is how it makes you feel. Well the Gallardo makes me feel like 10 year old me playing need for speed. Driving it is like playing a video game, its so damn cool it doesn't even seem real. But then I remember it is real, and that makes it even better. The Gallardo was my childhood dream car. It been my phone background since the iphone 3g, my bedroom wall poster for many years and always held a special place in my heart. I’ve wanted to review the gallardo since Vehicle Virgins was started in 2011. I spent countless hours imagining the driving dynamics, the insane sound and exotic persona. Today is an extremely special day, because this is the first time I’ve reviewed my own car since the first review I ever made of my BMW M5. I finally own a gallardo and have fallen head over heals in love with the car. So let me tell you a bit about Candice.
The beginning of German ownership gave birth to the Lamborghini Gallardo, an exotic that challenged and dominated the Ferrari 360. The baby bull that was just as capable, dynamic and exciting as the Murcielago, the Gallardo brought some amount of practicality and could be driven on a daily basis. Then subsequently rip your face off and deafen all bystanders as the 5 Liter V10 screams to its 8100 RPM redline.
Power sits at 500 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque, and with extensive usage of aluminum, the Gallardo actually has the same power to weight ratio as its older brother, the Murcielago. Transmission choices included a traditional six speed manual or E-gear, either choice enable a top speed of 192 mph. 0-60 happens in a blistering 3.9 seconds. The Gallardo is fast. Really fast.
The transmission is savage and I love it. Then the shifts themselves are insane, pulling the lever grants an instantaneous gear change, accompanied with a sharp jolt as the entire car prepares for more mind blowing speed. Place the car in sport mode and anything above half throttle means shifts pop like a dry ice bomb. It thrashes you, it beats you up, and thats what makes it so damn fun. The single clutch system may shift slower than a dual clutch system, but for spirited driving I’d prefer it any day of the week.
Show the Lamborghini a corner and it complies with prestigious grip, the AWD system inspiring confidence. Power has a default split of 30/70 but can send even more to the rear. The car has so much grip I’ve yet to break the tires loose around a corner.
The seating position in the gallardo is fantastic. You sit low and have a great view over the hood. The steering wheel sits just right and the pedals are the perfect amount of firm. The steering is heavy, very heavy. But once you get used to it, the rack provides welcomed confidence. Lamborghini isn’t known for its exquisite handling like its prancing horse rival. But it is really good, I promise you.
The interior of the Gallardo is thankfully well put together. Traditionally supercars seem to have electronics that are completely unusable, and have utterly terrible ergonomics. With Audi ownership, Lamborghini had access to german expertise and more importantly, the Audi parts bin. Everything works properly, and you even get heated seats! The highlight of the center console is the row of fighter jet toggle switches that control everything from the headlights to the windows.
Few cars can match the attention driving a yellow Lamborghini will attract. A combination of exotic looks and thundering V10 will turn the heads of every single person you pass. Thumbs up are frequent, as are the occasional obscene gesture. It is rather pleasing to notice that the majority of attention is positive, we frequently see people smiling or laughing as the car drives past.
The 5L v10 in the gallardo produces some of the most beautiful noise I’ve ever heard. It’s like an extremely loud well tuned symphony. Just listen to this!!
The smile this car puts on my face is immeasurable. Driving it gives me untold pleasure. My friends are scared for my well being. The utmost important part of a car in my opinion is how it makes you feel. Well the Gallardo makes me feel like 10 year old me playing need for speed. Driving it is like playing a video game, its so damn cool it doesn't even seem real. But then I remember it is real, and that makes it even better. I’m driving my childhood dream car right now, and there really aren't many more special things than that. I’ve met my hero, and shes exceeded my expectations. I’m relieved and ecstatic.

Having required a complete engine out installation to change everything from the manifolds to backbox, when the valves are set to open this thing makes an insane sound! Close the valves, and it's back to being peaceful. Paul and I jump into the Lambo and go for a short drive, discussing the car in general before hearing the amazing sounds off the rock walls beside the road.

Q: What do you do for work?
A: I own a marketing agency and I help small business owners market their businesses online. I also create & sell software targeted at this same niche. It's a long story on how I got to this so will explain in more detail soon if anyone is curious.
Q: Are you hauling a truck down the road in the beginning of the video?
A: Yes, it's my old plow truck.
Q: Have you done any mods to the car yet?
A: Not yet. I literally just got the car last week and uploaded this video a couple days later. I was also in the process of moving into a new place at the same time I bought this car so have been really busy unpacking and buying new furniture for the new place. lol
Q: Is the Cobra your daily driver?
A: My daily driver is my 2011 Chevy Duramax and my former weekend fun car was the Cobra. I still have the truck (Maine remember?), and now I have 2 weekend fun cars.
Q: Were you saving to buy the car for 10 years?
A: Man, some of these questions crack me up. No, about 10 years ago I decided I wanted a Gallardo but obviously couldn't afford it. A few years later I started my business. After about 5 yrs of growing my business I'm in a good position financially to justify buying the car. I only believe you should buy something as extravagant as a Lambo only if you can afford it without breaking a sweat and have at least 1 year's worth of living expenses in the bank. I would never put myself in financial stress to buy a car, and neither should you :)
Q: Why an 04 Gallardo?
A: Obviously I wanted a Gallardo but why an 04? Well for starters, the 04 is the cheapest year. This allowed me to get the car for less than $100k, compared to paying $30-$60k plus for a newer one. I wanted to step into the world of exotic car ownership with the lowest investment as possible to decide if I even liked the car to begin with. I may upgrade to an 09+ in a year or two, but at this point I see really no point. I love this car!
Q: How easy is it to buy one of these cars? Or something similar?
A: Well if you can pay cash, then that makes it really easy. However, if you're looking to finance you'll need perfect credit 760+, at least 20% down payment and of course enough monthly income to cover the monthly payment. I'm pretty sure the banks don't like a car payment to exceed 15% of your monthly income. I still think that's pretty high...I personally wouldn't go over 3-5%.
Q: How much is insurance?
A: This will obviously vary a LOT based on age, driving record and the insurance company. Mine is less than $1,400 /yr.
Q: Is maintenance expensive?
A: Not that bad but you should have some money put aside for maintenance and for replacing things if something breaks. If you've owned modified cars before and are used to breaking parts, it's not that much different.

Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

Les comparto estas 4 hermosas baladas del gran Cantautor Español Miguel Gallardo, OTRO OCUPA MI LUGAR, HOY TENGO GANAS DE TI, CORAZÓN VIAJERO Y DOS HOMBRES Y UN DESTINO
MIGUEL GALLARDO nació en Granada (España) y a la edad de 8 años se trasladó con su familia a vivir en Barcelona. Después de los estudios escolares pasó a la Universidad de Ingeniería Técnica de Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona). Al mismo tiempo estudió 3 años de solfeo y 2 de guitarra y piano en el Conservatorio de Música de Barcelona.
Su carrera discográfica comienza como compositor de otros artista. En 1.974 se lanza como cantante y graba una serie de singles (en aquella época algo habitual) entre los que destacan, "RECORDANDO A GLENN", "BAJO LA LLUVIA" y "QUÉDATE", una canción inspirada en un poema de PABLO NERUDA "Farewell" con la que consigue su primer número 1 en España. Después de este single presenta su primer álbum "AUTORRETRATO" y es el primer artista español distribuido por el prestigioso sello EMI-Harvest.
A partir de ese momento su carrera como cantante y compositor se afianza en el mercado de habla hispana con títulos como "HOY TENGO GANAS DE TI", (canción que ha alcanzado cifras superiores a los 2 millones de copias y que ha sido versionada en otras lenguas como el francés, inglés, portugués, chino, finlandés, griego, etc.). Otros grandes éxitos de esa época son: "OTRO OCUPA MI LUGAR", "GORRIÓN", "Y TÚ DÓNDE ESTÁS", "SALDRÉ A BUSCAR EL AMOR", "Y APAGO LA LUZ".
En la época de los 80 lanzó varios álbumes que alcanzaron discos de oro y platino en la mayoría de países de habla hispana. Canciones como "CORAZÓN", "TU AMANTE O TU ENEMIGO", "MUCHACHITA", "CORAZÓN VIAJERO", etc. lograron cifras de ventas millonarias. Durante ese período hizo continuas giras por España y Latinoamérica y actuó en lugares tan emblemáticos como el MADISON SQUARE GARDEN de Nueva York y el GREEK THEATRE de Los Ángeles (California).
Su álbum "AMÉRICA" producido por K.C. PORTER y MARCK SPIRO en los estudios IMAGE de Los Ángeles y mezclado por Woody Woodruff, John Van Nest y Benny Faccone, fue lanzado internacionalmente en 1.989. Su single "BAILA GITANA" en versión-disco remezclada por GARY STEVENSON (productor de GO WEST, RICK ASTLEY) vendió en Inglaterra por encima de las 50,000 copias.
En 1.989 fue nominado a los GRAMMY por "AMÉRICA" y en 1.990 recibe el premio ACE (Asociación de Críticos del Espectáculo) de Nueva York, como el mejor cantante latino.
Su, hasta ahora , último disco "1+1=3" fue lanzado en 1.991. La producción estuvo en manos de NICK PATRICK (productor de Mory Kante, Azúcar Moreno, Gipsy Kings y muchos artistas anglosajones y franceses). Colaboraron en dicho álbum, gente de la talla de PHIL MANZANERA (Ex-ROXY MUSIC), CHRIS WHITE (saxo de DIRE STRAITS) y Jerry Hey (arreglista de MICHAEL JACSON).
En estos años, MIGUEL ha estado trabajando en una idea que acariciaba hace tiempo, crear su propia editorial y productora "VERAMUSIC", dedicada a buscar y lanzar nuevos compositores, autores e intérpretes. En Junio de 1.999 recibió de manos de Richard Row (Presidente de Sony ATV Music Publishing) un Disco de Diamante (más de 1.000.000 de copias) por las ventas del catálogo de VERAMUSIC en los tres primeros años. Canciones grabadas por artistas como: AZÚCAR MORENO, SERGIO DALMA, ANA TORROJA (Mecano), ANA BELÉN, ALEJANDRA GUZMÁN, LUCERO, GRETA Y LOS GARBO, MIJARES, MISSIEGO, etc.
En Julio de ese año, recibió otro Disco de Diamante, entregado por TEDDY BAUTISTA (SGAE), por las ventas de las canciones escritas, exclusivamente, por MIGUEL en esos años.
Asimismo, es productor de numerosos artistas, AZÚCAR MORENO, SERGIO DALMA, BUSTAMANTE, etc. Su producción más reciente es el disco de LOS DEL RÍO "Dando guerra".
En mayo del 2.004 recibirá un homenaje de la SGAE y AIE por haber vendido más de 10.000.000 de discos durante su trayectoria como artista, compositor, editor y productor. También tiene varias ofertas para volver a grabar como MIGUEL GALLARDO.
