An 80-year-old inmate in Broward County sure knows how to work a crowd. "I gotta tell you, you brighten my day ma'am," the judge said. "That's what the last guy said - and then he sued me," she responded. You'd think it was Comedy Central the way Dolores Sheinis was cracking up the courtroom. She entertained the judge and the inmates behind her were all laughing. Not even her attorney could keep a straight face. This feisty, funny lady was in jail for violating a protective order from her ex-husband of thirty-something years. "How have I done as a judge today?" the judge asked. "Not bad, but you could do better," Dolores responded. The judge was a good sport about the whole thing. After her three minutes of fame, the judge and Dolores happily waved good-bye to each other.

A 31-year-old woman will spend the rest of her life in prison without the possibility of parole in the murder of her boyfriend in their Jackson apartment.
MyFoxDetroit.com reports that Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain told Camia Gamet at Wednesday's sentencing that the slaying was among the worst "cold-blooded murders" he has seen.
Marcel Hill was beaten and stabbed to death May 18 with a filet knife. When one of Hill's aunts spoke to the court, Gamet was seen by the judge rolling her eyes and snickering.
"You gutted him like a fish in that apartment," McBain said at Gamet's sentencing. "You were relentless. You stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed until he was dead. I agree with the family, I hope you die in prison as well. You know, if this was a death penalty state, you'd be getting the chair."
A jury convicted Gamet last month of first-degree murder. Gamet has said she believed she was fighting an intruder in a darkened room and that the slaying was in self-defense.
The 38-year-old Hill was stabbed 11 times. Hill told police in March 2013 that Gamet had struck him in the head with a hammer.

The long wig often associated with judges is now reserved for ceremonial occasions, although it was part of the standard attire in previous centuries. You'd think it was Comedy Central the way Dolores Sheinis was cracking up the courtroom. She entertained the judge and the inmates behind her were all laughing. Not even her attorney could keep a straight face. This feisty, funny lady was in jail for violating a protective order from her ex-husband of thirty-something years. "How have I done as a judge today?" the judge asked. "Not bad, but you could do better," Dolores responded. The judge was a good sport about the whole thing. After her three minutes of fame, the judge and Dolores happily waved good-bye to each other. -

A 31-year-old woman will spend the rest of her life in prison without the possibility of parole in the murder of her boyfriend in their Jackson apartment. MyFoxDetroit.com reports that Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain told Camia Gamet at Wednesday's sentencing that the slaying was among the worst "cold-blooded murders" he has seen. Marcel Hill was beaten and stabbed to death May 18 with a filet knife. When one of Hill's aunts spoke to the court, Gamet was seen by the judge rolling her eyes and snickering. "You gutted him like a fish in that apartment," McBain said at Gamet's sentencing. "You were relentless. You stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed until he was dead. I agree with the family, I hope you die in prison as well. You know, if this was a death penalty state, you'd be getting the chair." A jury convicted Gamet last month of first-degree murder. Gamet has said she believed she was fighting an intruder in a darkened room and that the slaying was in self-defense. The 38-year-old Hill was stabbed 11 times. Hill told police in March 2013 that Gamet had struck him in the head with a hammer. -

Florida Judge "GOES OFF" On Prosecutor After He DISMISSES Her DUI Case For PERJURY!!
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Channel 9 has obtained video of Judge Frederic Schott becoming angry with a prosecutor during a hearing in Seminole County. The exchange between Schott and Assistant State Attorney Diana Miers happened on March 11 and was captured on courtroom video. A jury had just found a woman guilty of driving under the influence when the attorneys and judge started discussing the woman's license suspension. The Sanford police officer who made the arrest caused the defendant to lose her driver's license for a few months because of a mistake on the arrest paperwork. "Are you going to nolle pros that case? Or am I going to get mad at you today?" Schott asked. The judge and Miers got into a heated argument because he wanted the police officer to be charged with lying. "I want you taking him up on perjury," Schott said. "He admitted it was a mistake, your honor," Miers said. After the exchange, Schott decided to reverse the jury's verdict to not guilty. "This whole case was fishy," Schott said. Miers tried to argue against Schott's dismissal of the case but he didn't agree. "This is again evidence, direct evidence, and not circumstantial evidence," Miers said. WFTV legal analyst Belvin Perry, former chief judge for Orange and Osceola counties, was surprised to see Schott's behavior in court. "That is a very poor example of judicial temperament that judges are supposed to display," Perry said. "He should've counted to 10 and kept quiet." Officials told Eyewitness News that as a result of the incident, Schott will soon only be presiding over civil cases. -

MyFoxDetroit.com reports that Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain told Camia Gamet at Wednesday's sentencing that the slaying was among the worst "cold-blooded murders" he has seen.
Marcel Hill was beaten and stabbed to death May 18 with a filet knife. When one of Hill's aunts spoke to the court, Gamet was seen by the judge rolling her eyes and snickering.
"You gutted him like a fish in that apartment," McBain said at Gamet's sentencing. "You were relentless. You stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed until he was dead. I agree with the family, I hope you die in prison as well. You know, if this was a death penalty state, you'd be getting the chair."

A 31-year-old woman will spend the rest of her life in prison without the possibility of parole in the murder of her boyfriend in their Jackson apartment.
MyFoxDetroit.com reports that Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain told Camia Gamet at Wednesday's sentencing that the slaying was among the worst "cold-blooded murders" he has seen.
Marcel Hill was beaten and stabbed to death May 18 with a filet knife. When one of Hill's aunts spoke to the court, Gamet was seen by the judge rolling her eyes and snickering.
"You gutted him like a fish in that apartment," McBain said at Gamet's sentencing. "You were relentless. You stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed, you stabbed until he was dead. I agree with the family, I hope you die in prison as well. You know, if this was a death penalty state, you'd be getting the chair."

Channel 9 has obtained video of Judge Frederic Schott becoming angry with a prosecutor during a hearing in Seminole County. The exchange between Schott and Assistant State Attorney Diana Miers happened on March 11 and was captured on courtroom video.
A jury had just found a woman guilty of driving under the influence when the attorneys and judge started discussing the woman's license suspension. The Sanford police officer who made the arrest caused the defendant to lose her driver's license for a few months because of a mistake on the arrest paperwork.
"Are you going to nolle pros that case? Or am I going to get mad at you today?" Schott asked.
The judge and Miers got into a heated argument because he wanted the police officer to be charged with lying. "I want you taking him up on perjury," Schott said.
"He admitted it was a mistake, your honor," Miers said.
After the exchange, Schott decided to reverse the jury's verdict to not guilty.
"This whole case was fishy," Schott said.
Miers tried to argue against Schott's dismissal of the case but he didn't agree.
"This is again evidence, direct evidence, and not circumstantial evidence," Miers said.
WFTV legal analyst Belvin Perry, former chief judge for Orange and Osceola counties, was surprised to see Schott's behavior in court. "That is a very poor example of judicial temperament that judges are supposed to display," Perry said. "He should've counted to 10 and kept quiet."
Officials told Eyewitness News that as a result of the incident, Schott will soon only be presiding over civil cases.

It's a lengthy shooting session with a variety of ammunition types and target distances. I demonstrate patterns and penetration at various distances. Nothing scientific, as usual, but maybe enough to give 410 gauge revolver owners and potential buyers a rough ideas of what to expect. At various distances I shoot birdshot, 6 shot, 4shot, 00 Buck, 000Buck, and the exotic Winchester PDX defense shells. I don't really have a big dog in the fight over whether these are great defensive guns or not, or whether the 410 is useless in this regard. I do know I would not want one shot at me after having experimented with it. It might not kill me, but it certainly would make me change my mind about further action and probably consider where I'd be finding a "see-and-eye" dog for the rest of my life. :-) -

Judge Joe Brown: Young Thug Should Just Come Out of the Closet
http://www.vladtv.com - After his recent stint in jail, Judge Joe Brown likened jail to a "slave warehouse," which he explained during his exclusive VladTV interview. The famed television judge told us "it's a function of the system to get rid of surplus labor. Labor is a commodity like wheat, corn, cotton, etc., and when you get a glut the prices drop." He then added there's nothing put in place to assist the vicious cycle that is stopping inmates from going back to jail. During the conversation Judge Brown also shared his thoughts on how he believes there is a lack of masculinity in today's society, including in rap music. After pointing out his belief in gay rights, Judge Brown told us that there should be more masculine images in hip-hop and the media, especially if they're Black. He added, "that's what the youth look to to guide themselves." Speaking more about masculinity in hip-hop, Judge Brown reacted to Young Thug wearing nail polish and dresses. When told about the situation the famed judge reacted by saying, "Why doesn't he just come on out of the closet? It's the twenty first century, they ain't going to hurt him. Be honest." " Adalat is a show - Promoolving around KD Pathak, a suave, sophisticated, witty and yet unconventional lawyer who is known as a ‘Houdini’ in circles of law because he can get his clients out of the tightest of situations. His success rate of acquittals is 100 percent. But most importantly KD stands not for his client, but for Justice.
KD has an amazing eye for detail and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He always seems to know enough about every profession, and what he doesn’t know he covers up/makes up with his smartness. A quick thinker.
KD steps into a case when all is doomed for the accused. All the doors are shut. When the prosecution has prepared a water tight open and shut case where even a blind man can tell that the accused is guilty. But no one can see the case from the angle KD does. He digs fervently for loopholes in the prosecution’s case much to their frustration and thinking on his feet, he manages to turn the entire case around. Often through histrionics, magical gimmicks (since he has recently started learning magic … and uses a parallel between magic and justice… that often what we see is not all… there is something beyond it), performances, which the Judge does not approve of ! And nor does his ex-love Maya (The Prosecutor who is often at the receiving end!) - But that is KD. Unstoppable, incorrigible and completely enthralling and entertaining. It is a treat to watch him perform in court week after week, tearing the toughest of cases to shreds and helping convict an evil scheming villain, and setting a poor hapless innocent victim free!

Hickok45 plays and experiments with the popular Taurus Judge revolver. It's a lengthy shooting session with a variety of ammunition types and target distances. I demonstrate patterns and penetration at various distances. Nothing scientific, as usual, but maybe enough to give 410 gauge revolver owners and potential buyers a rough ideas of what to expect.
At various distances I shoot birdshot, 6 shot, 4shot, 00 Buck, 000Buck, and the exotic Winchester PDX defense shells.
I don't really have a big dog in the fight over whether these are great defensive guns or not, or whether the 410 is useless in this regard. I do know I would not want one shot at me after having experimented with it. It might not kill me, but it certainly would make me change my mind about further action and probably consider where I'd be finding a "see-and-eye" dog for the rest of my life. :-)

The famed television judge told us "it's a function of the system to get rid of surplus labor. Labor is a commodity like wheat, corn, cotton, etc., and when you get a glut the prices drop." He then added there's nothing put in place to assist the vicious cycle that is stopping inmates from going back to jail.
During the conversation Judge Brown also shared his thoughts on how he believes there is a lack of masculinity in today's society, including in rap music. After pointing out his belief in gay rights, Judge Brown told us that there should be more masculine images in hip-hop and the media, especially if they're Black. He added, "that's what the youth look to to guide themselves."
Speaking more about masculinity in hip-hop, Judge Brown reacted to Young Thug wearing nail polish and dresses. When told about the situation the famed judge reacted by saying, "Why doesn't he just come on out of the closet? It's the twenty first century, they ain't going to hurt him. Be honest."
