I'm soo depressed to be back :((((((((
I enjoyed my holiday to Turkey, Antalya (Alanya) thoroughly!
I booked my holiday with Thomas Cook, and paid £260 for 7 nights All Inclusive at Alaiye Kleopatra Hotel in Alanya which is is Antalya which is in Turkey! I got a really good deal as booked 6 months in advance - booking your holiday during school breaks will be way more expensive
This hotel have 3 branches I have also stayed at Alaiye Resort and Spa which is as beautiful but way bigger but the kleopatra is central to all activities. The resort hotel is probably more enjoyable for a relaxing holiday, but if your like me and like adventures then defo stick with Alaiye Kleopatra Hotel. P.S both Hotels offer Entertainment in the evenings ( put on shows ei Acrobats, dancers, fire eating... and more)
The hotel has average food, dont expect too much if you are all inclusive at any hotel as the food gets a bit same same. The food in the harbor is great! i recommend fish as its fresh!
Thomas cook excursions are way too expensive!! so I went to a shop that sell the same trips for so much cheaper but you have to haggle the price down! the only downside with booking with them is that there will be other travelers not just British and things are not always explained properly in English!!
Things to do in Turkey Antalya
These are the activities that I did:
Jeep Safari
Quad Biking
Buggy Riding
Jet skiing
Parasailing
All of these activities should not cost more then £30 English pounds each
Places to Visit in Turkey Antalya Alanya and other sites in turkey.
The Alanya Castle - Take a taxi there and entry tickets and 15 Turkish Lira
Manavgat Waterfall - although I did not do this trip on this holiday I have been previously and worked out cheaper to go with Thomas Cook (Beware they take to so may shops and try and sell you things you dont need)
The Harbour (Alanya)
There are so many boats here, you can book a boat ride and the view is beautiful.
Caves - The Jeep Safari trip includes a tour of the caves but i think you have to pay a little extra
Kleopatra Beach
Stunning beach, the colour of the water is beautiful!
Shopping
The strip along the hotel - Honestly I got my best prices here!
The Harbour
Centrum
The Friday Bazar - Near the Harbour
Is Turkey safe to go on holiday?
As far as the part I visited yes it was, if you are group of girls make sure you stay in your group whilst going out, just to stay extra safe X

They're possibly the most welcoming and warming people I've met, even more so towards us Pakistanis because of our countries' history and friendship. Alaiye
Alaiye (علائیه) is the medieval Seljuq name for Alanya (on the southern coast of Turkey). It refers to the city-state in a specific period and the beylik which developed around there, at times under the Karamanid dynasty. After the 1242 Battle of Köse Dağ, the Seljuqs lost control of the city, and it became semi-autonomous.
Occupations
Before the influence of the Karamanid dynasty, Henry II of Jerusalem made an unsuccessful attempt to invade the city in 1291. Karamanids influence then began in 1293, with the capture of the beylik by Majd ad-Din Mahmud (Turkish: Mecdüddin Mahmud). In 1427, the Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Addin Barsbay acquired the beylik from the Karamanid Sultan Damad II İbrahim Bey in exchange of 5,000 gold coins. In 1366, an attempt to occupy the beylik by Peter I of Cyprus was unsuccessful.
Governance
The beylik existed as an independent principality in some form from 1293 until 1471. The second rule of Kayqubad III was centered there. The Ottoman general Gedik Ahmed Pasha's victory against Kasim Bey and the Karamanids also happened in Alaiye. During this period no major state existed in Anatolia, following the defeat of the Seljuq Sultanate of Rûm by the Mongol Empire at the Battle of Köse Dag.

Alanya
Alanya (Turkish pronunciation: [aˈɫanja]), formerly Alaiye, is a beach resort city and a component district of Antalya Province on the southern coast of Turkey, in the country's Mediterranean Region, 138 kilometres (86 mi) east of the city of Antalya. As of Turkey's 2010 Census, the city had a population of 98,627, while the district that includes the city and its built-up region had an area of 1,598.51 km2 and 248,286 inhabitants.
Because of its natural strategic position on a small peninsula into the Mediterranean Sea below the Taurus Mountains, Alanya has been a local stronghold for many Mediterranean-based empires, including the Ptolemaic, Seleucid, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empires. Alanya's greatest political importance came in the Middle Ages, with the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm under the rule of Alaeddin Kayqubad I, from whom the city derives its name. His building campaign resulted in many of the city's landmarks, such as the Kızıl Kule (Red Tower), Tersane (Shipyard), and Alanya Castle.

Antalya
Antalya (Turkish pronunciation: [anˈtalja]) is the eighth most populous city in Turkey and the capital of its eponymous province. Located on Anatolia's flourishing southwest coast bordered by the Taurus Mountains, Antalya is the largest Turkish city on the Mediterranean coast with over one million people in its metropolitan area.
The city that is now Antalya was first settled around 200 BC by the Attalid dynasty of Pergamon, which was soon subdued by the Romans. Roman rule saw Antalya thrive, including the construction of several new monuments, such as Hadrian's Gate, and the proliferation of neighboring cities. The city has changed hands several times, including to the Byzantine Empire in 1207 and an expanding Ottoman Empire in 1391. Ottoman rule brought relative peace and stability for the next five-hundred years. The city was transferred to Italian suzerainty in the aftermath of World War I, but was recaptured by a newly independent Turkey in the War of Independence.
Antalya is Turkey's biggest international sea resort, located on the Turkish Riviera. Large-scale development and governmental funding has promoted tourism. A record 12.5 million tourists passed through the city in 2014.

I'm soo depressed to be back :((((((((
I enjoyed my holiday to Turkey, Antalya (Alanya) thoroughly!
I booked my holiday with Thomas Cook, and paid £260 for 7 nights All Inclusive at Alaiye Kleopatra Hotel in Alanya which is is Antalya which is in Turkey! I got a really good deal as booked 6 months in advance - booking your holiday during school breaks will be way more expensive
This hotel have 3 branches I have also stayed at Alaiye Resort and Spa which is as beautiful but way bigger but the kleopatra is central to all activities. The resort hotel is probably more enjoyable for a relaxing holiday, but if your like me and like adventures then defo stick with Alaiye Kleopatra Hotel. P.S both Hotels offer Entertainment in the evenings ( put on shows ei Acrobats, dancers, fire eating... and more)
The hotel has average food, dont expect too much if you are all inclusive at any hotel as the food gets a bit same same. The food in the harbor is great! i recommend fish as its fresh!
Thomas cook excursions are way too expensive!! so I went to a shop that sell the same trips for so much cheaper but you have to haggle the price down! the only downside with booking with them is that there will be other travelers not just British and things are not always explained properly in English!!
Things to do in Turkey Antalya
These are the activities that I did:
Jeep Safari
Quad Biking
Buggy Riding
Jet skiing
Parasailing
All of these activities should not cost more then £30 English pounds each
Places to Visit in Turkey Antalya Alanya and other sites in turkey.
The Alanya Castle - Take a taxi there and entry tickets and 15 Turkish Lira
Manavgat Waterfall - although I did not do this trip on this holiday I have been previously and worked out cheaper to go with Thomas Cook (Beware they take to so may shops and try and sell you things you dont need)
The Harbour (Alanya)
There are so many boats here, you can book a boat ride and the view is beautiful.
Caves - The Jeep Safari trip includes a tour of the caves but i think you have to pay a little extra
Kleopatra Beach
Stunning beach, the colour of the water is beautiful!
Shopping
The strip along the hotel - Honestly I got my best prices here!
The Harbour
Centrum
The Friday Bazar - Near the Harbour
Is Turkey safe to go on holiday?
As far as the part I visited yes it was, if you are group of girls make sure you stay in your group whilst going out, just to stay extra safe X

I'm soo depressed to be back :((((((((
I enjoyed my holiday to Turkey, Antalya (Alanya) thoroughly!
I booked my holiday with Thomas Cook, and paid £260 for 7 nights All Inclusive at Alaiye Kleopatra Hotel in Alanya which is is Antalya which is in Turkey! I got a really good deal as booked 6 months in advance - booking your holiday during school breaks will be way more expensive
This hotel have 3 branches I have also stayed at Alaiye Resort and Spa which is as beautiful but way bigger but the kleopatra is central to all activities. The resort hotel is probably more enjoyable for a relaxing holiday, but if your like me and like adventures then defo stick with Alaiye Kleopatra Hotel. P.S both Hotels offer Entertainment in the evenings ( put on shows ei Acrobats, dancers, fire eating... and more)
The hotel has average food, dont expect too much if you are all inclusive at any hotel as the food gets a bit same same. The food in the harbor is great! i recommend fish as its fresh!
Thomas cook excursions are way too expensive!! so I went to a shop that sell the same trips for so much cheaper but you have to haggle the price down! the only downside with booking with them is that there will be other travelers not just British and things are not always explained properly in English!!
Things to do in Turkey Antalya
These are the activities that I did:
Jeep Safari
Quad Biking
Buggy Riding
Jet skiing
Parasailing
All of these activities should not cost more then £30 English pounds each
Places to Visit in Turkey Antalya Alanya and other sites in turkey.
The Alanya Castle - Take a taxi there and entry tickets and 15 Turkish Lira
Manavgat Waterfall - although I did not do this trip on this holiday I have been previously and worked out cheaper to go with Thomas Cook (Beware they take to so may shops and try and sell you things you dont need)
The Harbour (Alanya)
There are so many boats here, you can book a boat ride and the view is beautiful.
Caves - The Jeep Safari trip includes a tour of the caves but i think you have to pay a little extra
Kleopatra Beach
Stunning beach, the colour of the water is beautiful!
Shopping
The strip along the hotel - Honestly I got my best prices here!
The Harbour
Centrum
The Friday Bazar - Near the Harbour
Is Turkey safe to go on holiday?
As far as the part I visited yes it was, if you are group of girls make sure you stay in your group whilst going out, just to stay extra safe X

Alaiye
Alaiye (علائیه) is the medieval Seljuq name for Alanya (on the southern coast of Turkey). It refers to the city-state in a specific period and the beylik which developed around there, at times under the Karamanid dynasty. After the 1242 Battle of Köse Dağ, the Seljuqs lost control of the city, and it became semi-autonomous.
Occupations
Before the influence of the Karamanid dynasty, Henry II of Jerusalem made an unsuccessful attempt to invade the city in 1291. Karamanids influence then began in 1293, with the capture of the beylik by Majd ad-Din Mahmud (Turkish: Mecdüddin Mahmud). In 1427, the Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf Addin Barsbay acquired the beylik from the Karamanid Sultan Damad II İbrahim Bey in exchange of 5,000 gold coins. In 1366, an attempt to occupy the beylik by Peter I of Cyprus was unsuccessful.
Governance
The beylik existed as an independent principality in some form from 1293 until 1471. The second rule of Kayqubad III was centered there. The Ottoman general Gedik Ahmed Pasha's victory against Kasim Bey and the Karamanids also happened in Alaiye. During this period no major state existed in Anatolia, following the defeat of the Seljuq Sultanate of Rûm by the Mongol Empire at the Battle of Köse Dag.
