Victor Valdes the Spanish goal stopper and the Barcelona number 1, Victor Valdes was statistically the best goalkeeper in the Spanish La Liga last season.
For two consecutive seasons, Victor Valdes is proving to be important for the Spanish Champions. Victor Valdes is playing a key role in the success of Barcelona and managed to keep the highest percentage of saves in the Spanish La Liga last season.
Barcelona's goal stopper saved every eight shots out of ten that came at him. Despite having amazing goal stoppers like Iker Casillas, David De Gea and Diego Lopez in the Spanish Primera Division, Victor Valdes still topped them all and managed to become the best goal stopper in the competition.
He is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in Barcelona's history, having won a total of 19 trophies including five La Liga titles, three Champions League titles, and two Copa del Rey titles. He also has won the Zamora Trophy a record five times. He currently holds the club records as goalkeeper with most appearances in the league and in official competition.

Victor Valdés didn't start to play football because he wanted to. He did it because his brother and father had noticed that the young kid had a huge talent. But Victor soon started to hate it. When the team scored his teammates would celebrate, while he would stand alone in the goal. And when he let in a goal everyone would be sad. He didn't understand it, he didn't understand why he had to be a goalkeeper.
10 years later, when he was 18 years old, being a goalkeeper was still something that he hated, but he was still doing it.
As he broke into the first team at the age of 20, Victor didn't hate his job anymore, but he had still had trouble with enjoying it.
In 2008 however Josep Guardiola became his coach, and Pep managed to teach Victor to for the first time in his life enjoy playing football.. since then Victor Valdés has become the best goalkeeper in the world, breaking new records after each other..

Victor Valdes frist debut for Manchester United vs U21s Liverpool Víctor Valdés made his debut for Manchester United on Monday but was unable to keep a clean sheet as the Under-21s defeated their Liverpool counterparts. Valdés was beaten at his near post by a fierce Jerome Sinclair shot shortly before half-time, according to United’s website, but McNair won the match for United in the 47th minute. He didn't understand it, he didn't understand why he had to be a goalkeeper.
10 years later, when he was 18 years old, being a goalkeeper was still something that he hated, but he was still doing it.
As he broke into the first team at the age of 20, Victor didn't hate his job anymore, but he had still had trouble with enjoying it.
In 2008 however Josep Guardiola became his coach, and Pep managed to teach Victor to for the first time in his life enjoy playing football.. since then Victor Valdés has become the best goalkeeper in the world, breaking new records after each other..
This video is an attempt to show how the boy who hated being a goalkeeper became the best in the world... enjoy!

Victor Valdés didn't start to play football because he wanted to. He did it because his brother and father had noticed that the young kid had a huge talent. But Victor soon started to hate it. When the team scored his teammates would celebrate, while he would stand alone in the goal. And when he let in a goal everyone would be sad. He didn't understand it, he didn't understand why he had to be a goalkeeper.
10 years later, when he was 18 years old, being a goalkeeper was still something that he hated, but he was still doing it.
As he broke into the first team at the age of 20, Victor didn't hate his job anymore, but he had still had trouble with enjoying it.
In 2008 however Josep Guardiola became his coach, and Pep managed to teach Victor to for the first time in his life enjoy playing football.. since then Victor Valdés has become the best goalkeeper in the world, breaking new records after each other..

También fue integrante de la orquesta "Cosmopolita" que dirigía Antonio María Romeu.
Trabajó también con la Sonora Matancera, interpretando principalmente guarachas y guaguancós tales como Yo no soy guapo (guaracha de Reineiro Martínez) y el bolero mambo Decídete mi amor. Uno de sus temas más representativos en esa época fue su versión de Los aretes de la luna, original de José Dolores Quiñones, tema que contribuyó a darle a conocer ante el gran público. Radicado en New York, conoció a Noro Morales. Éste lo integró a su orquesta y con él grabó temas como Guararé de Ricardo Fábregas, y Qué problema de Rudy Castel.
En los años subsiguientes, su repertorio se concentró en la interpretación de boleros , aunque continuó cantando otros ritmos autóctonos de su tierra como guajiras, sones o guarachas.

Víctor Valdés made his debut for Manchester United on Monday but was unable to keep a clean sheet as the Under-21s defeated their Liverpool counterparts.
Valdés was beaten at his near post by a fierce Jerome Sinclair shot shortly before half-time, according to United’s website, but McNair won the match for United in the 47th minute.
Valdés wrote on Twitter: “Was a great honor to win today with the unders 21 in my first game against Liverpoool. Well Done Guys!”

It has a world-class tourist infrastructure, with arguably the best cuisine on the continent, and it is safe. But its not just that that makes a trip to Argentina feel so special. The country simply has a redoubtable spirit unlike any other in the region, and nowhere is that more evident than in its lively capital, Buenos Aires.
If Argentina is one of the jewels in the Latin American crown, so the cosmopolitan Buenos Aires is one of the standout cities of the continent. Many gateway cities are just that, and you’re best off getting in and getting out, but not the Argentine capital; this is a destination in its own right that ideally requires at least 3 days to truly explore. A place where the elegance of old Europe crashes against the colourful coast of Latin America, Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, with elegant and impressive architecture, relaxing parks and some great sites. Must see locations include the colourful Bocca district, famous for its brightly painted homes, San Telmo, renowned for its antique market and strange curiosity shops, Palermo, home to some of the city’s most stylish restaurants, hotel and bars, and the smart district of Recoleta, most well-known for its famous cemetery, the final resting place of among others Argentina’s most famous daughter, Eva Peron.
From here heading north the first place you’ll be tempted to visit is one of the country’s many natural wonders… the famous Iguazu Falls.
From here, working our way anti clockwise around the country you’ll come to Corrientes and the Iberia wetlands. Although not commonly visited by international travellers, we at Wild Frontiers love this place and run many trips to the atmospheric estancias where we have fun playing at being gauchos.
From here you come to Cordoba, the country’s second largest city. This is a region known for the pretty Andean foothills into which you can ride or walk.
Next up is the famous wine region of Mendoza. Anyone interested in gastronomy trips should spend at least 3 days here, where, staying at one of the locally-run boutique wineries you can enjoy some world class dining. But Mendoza isn’t only about cuisine… it is also the gateway to hikes up the America’s highest mountain, Aconcagua, and some good horse rides into the low Andes.
Heading north of here is the spectacular coloured mountain desert region of Salta, and the northern routes into Chile and the Atacama Desert, or heading further east you’ll next come to San Martin de los Andes, where you’ll find some wonderful mountain scenery with a few great estancias again offering some great riding, and fishing, experiences this time into the higher Andes.
Now heading south, the next location you’ll come to is one of the countries major highlights, the lake district of Bariloche. Here you can enjoy all manner of activities, from riding and cycling, to kayaking and abseiling, or just relaxing with a nice picnic on one of the regions many lakes.
Heading south on highway 40, passed the fossilised remains of the world’s largest dinosaur, and the famous painted hands at Cueva de las Manos, you come to FitzRoy National Park before hitting one of the most impressive areas on the continent, El Calafate, and the regions wide open steppes and famous glaciers that here crash down into the lakes. There are many such glaciers but perhaps the most famous is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Puerto Moreno glacier.
To the east of the country is Puerto Valdez, from which between October to March the Orca whales can be spotted, and in the very south is Ushuaia, and the gateway to Antarctica. At Wild Frontiers we have relationships with some of the best Antarctic explorer vessels.

Paraguay Ambassador's Trip to Taean and Buyeo
Ceferino Valdez, Ambassador of Paraguay to Korea, loves Korea as much as Koreans do. His business card even has his Korean name, Park Dae-soo. Mr. Valdez has worked in Korea for nearly 14 years, the longest term ever since Paraguay and Korea established diplomatic ties in 1962. What makes Korea so attractive to him? Mr. Valdez says he was impressed by Korea's natural landscape and its dynamic society and people.
Whenever he has time, Mr. Valdez likes to travel around Korea. He says he is happy when he meets people while traveling. The most memorable place for him is Taean. When he just took office in December 2007, he visited Taean to help locals cope with the worst oil spill in Korea's history. Back then he didn't even know where Taean was; he just wanted to lend a helping hand along with some 1.2 million volunteers who did what they could to revive the sea. That was Mr. Valdez's first official duty in Korea. Now, he returns to Taean for the first time in six years. Have the efforts of so many people succeeded in breathing new life into the sea and the land?
Taean is also where Mr. Valdez met a young Korean who used to teach taekwondo in Paraguay as a volunteer. Now he is a P.E. teacher at an elementary school in his hometown of Buyeo. January 28, 2014 - ALASKA - Avalanches have blocked the only highway to Valdez, Alaska, cutting off all motor traffic to the coastal town of about 4,000 and leading town officials to urge voluntary evacuations of residences.
The Richardson Highway will probably remain closed for about a week, officials said on the town website. The first avalanches started Friday, and more occurred Saturday.
Valdez officials urged voluntary evacuations over the weekend because water started to accumulate behind the snow and debris created by the avalanches.
A shelter was established in the high school and teen center for people who evacuated. It's unknown how many people moved out of their houses.
According to the town website, Valdez has plenty of fuel on hand, but food and fuel can be brought to the town port by barge if necessary.
Valdez is about a 300-mile drive from Anchorage, Alaska's largest city.

It is a lot better than New Yorks 5th avenue. The food and drinks are magnificent and very affordable. You will find everything to temp your taste buds. I do suggest you check out the Tequila shop. They have every imaginable flavor you could dream up. "Secret Tip" They offer free taste tests. Be careful though it is easy to go over board. While in Playa I highly suggest you arrange a tour for one of the local Mayan ruins such as Chichen Itza. The Mayan history is one of the great wonders of the world.
You will also want to allow for some relaxation time. Spend time on the beach, play a round of golf or do some fishing. Playa Del Carmen has something for everyone in the family.

Dulce de leche, similar to caramel and made by adding sugar to milk and cooking it, is used on nearly all desserts, including facturas (pastries eaten for breakfast or tea, or to accompany mate, filled with dulce de leche, dulce de membrillo, crema pastelera, roquefort, or many other things), alfajores (traditional cookies that consist of tiny biscuits stuck together), and many other Argentine desserts.
