It's the spider season for giant jumping attacking spiders. This massive spider was highly active and very fast moving, possibly it's spider breeding season. Mum helped keeping an eye on the big spiders movements while I set up the GoPro camera to my Dyson DC59 stick vac. It's the first big spider my DC59 cleaner has captured in my spider infested home. Record Summer rain in Sydney has possibly driven the spiders into my home looking for dry shelter. I have no problem with these spiders living outside but once they are in my home they are considered a pest. These spiders have killed humans via road accidents caused by spider fright. Just a cold hard fact that most people seem to ignore. In nature there is an amazing natural killer of these spiders. They are Spider Wasps and I have an amazing video of one which has caught a giant spider.
Ultimate Big Spider Killer Spider Wasp
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKUJNbVJids
I use a specially modified Dyson vacuum attachment to hold my GoPro camera on the Dyson vacuum cleaner. The DC59 which is seen in this video was a gift from the Dyson company for a product review I did for the other Dyson vacuum cleaners I have purchased. I can confirm the Dyson DC59 is almost as good as a floor vacuum cleaner and it's battery powered. This is the first big spider this stick vacuum has cleaned up, as I suspected it's done a killer job at getting rid of this nasty spider from my home.

Learn more about Western Black Widow spiders here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latrodectus_hesperus
From Wiki:
Latrodectus hesperus, the western black widow spider or western widow, is a venomous spider species found in western regions of North America. The female's body is 14–16 mm (1/2 in) in length and is black, often with an hourglass-shaped red mark on the lower abdomen. This "hourglass" mark can be yellow, and on rare occasions, white. The male of the species is around half this length and generally a tan color with lighter striping on the abdomen. The population was previously described as a subspecies of Latrodectus mactans and it is closely related to the northern species Latrodectus variolus. The species, as with others of the genus, build irregular or "messy" webs: Unlike the spiral webs or the tunnel-shaped webs of other spiders, the strands of a Latrodectus web have no apparent organization. Female black widows have potent venom composed of neurotoxins. Fatalities usually only happen with children and the elderly, however medical treatment may be required for others as well. However, the male black widow is harmless to humans. The female's consumption of the male after courtship, a cannibalistic and suicidal behaviour observed in Latrodectus hasseltii (Australia's redback), is rare in this species. Male western widows may breed several times during their relatively short lifespans.[3] Males are known to show preference for mating with well-fed females over starved ones, taking cues from the females' webs.

These usually dark spiders have in most species a white line around the anterior back, in addition to other lines or spots

Black Widow vs Praying Mantis: Spiders infest my house
If you don’t yet know the story, I started finding black widows in my house, and I have plenty of other videos talking about that. In this video I show the results of following a comment I received about using a praying mantis to get rid of the spiders.
It did not work out at all; the mantis wanted nothing to do with a deadly black widow spider.
WARNING!!! Poisonous spiders are in my house! If you are afraid of spiders, DO NOT WATCH this video.

From Wiki:
These usually dark spiders have in most species a white line around the anterior back, in addition to other lines or spots

watch our top 10 worst spider bites in the world,
1. The Brazilian wandering spider holds a Guinness world record for the world's most venomous. The venom it injects is almost 20 times more powerful than the Black Widow once it gets into the bloodstream. The effects of the venom mirror some of the world's most poisonous snakes.
The effects of a bite include loss of muscle control which can shut down the respiratory system which eventually would lead to death. Other side effects include intense pain from the bite itself, and with those teeth you'd struggle to wonder why, and gentlemen, you might want to stay even further away because it also causes a 4 hour erection. Yep, a 4 hour erection. Although this might sound great to some, it's actually extremely painful.
As you can imagine, the name of the spider gives a clue as to why its so deadly, in that it wanders around wherever it chooses to go, including houses, shops and even boots or a box of bananas. Fortunately for us an effective antivenom has been developed.
2. The Hobo Spider can deliver a serious bite to lab animals and their bites can cause necrosis and these bites cause an open wound which may take many weeks to heal. The Hobo spider is aggressive and fairly common,
which increases the chance of an actual bite occurring. In fact the hobo spider is sometimes referred to as the ‘aggressive house spider’.
Previously, this spider was common throughout Europe and went practically unnoticed, only recently popping up in America. Where it differs is that in Europe the hobo spider is not found in houses – other bigger, meaner house spiders keep it out!
3, The camel spider is something you'd only see in a Stephen King film, something you wouldn't wanna meet in a light alley never mind a dark one. The biggest kind can reach 6 inches in length and it looks like an alien from another planet, its
powerful jaws making up about a quarter of that. The secret here is that the Camel Spider isn't even a proper spider, they are in fact a type of arachnid known as solifuges. Also known as wind scorpions, solifuges are found in deserts throughout the world.
The reason they feature is because they look so fierce and grow so big. They have thunderous speed and can reach 10mph, their bite isn't venomous but can cause some serious tissue damage and infection can easily set in from their wounds.
4. The yellow sac spider is one to avoid, this little tiny guy can give quite a nasty bite out. These spiders are only around 10mm long and an ugly yellow colour and are quite widespread around the world. The venom of the yellow sac spider is a cytotoxin, which means it breaks down cells, possibly causing necrosis.
Bites are characterized by an initial stinging pain followed by redness and swelling which can develop into a blister or sore.
5. Here is the world's most famous spider, the tarantula, specifically the fringed ornamental tarantula, and they have fangs that use a stabbing action unlike most other species that use a pincer like motion. But everybody knows that despite their
terrifying demeanor, tarantula bites aren’t so bad, right? Well it may be true that most tarantula bites are no worse than a bee sting, however the fringed ornamental tarantula are renown for having a particularly nasty bite. The bite from one of these is reported to have caused excruciating pain, and extreme muscle cramping in some cases. One bite victim ended up in the emergency room after experiencing severe spasm and chest pains.
So whilst there have been no confirmed fatalities from this tarantula it certainly carries a potent venom and injects it by the bucket load.
6. This Australian spider is one of 12 species of mouse spider, which come from Australia, and their name comes from their soft furry abdomens and not from the fact they might eat mice, although I’m sure they would.
Armed with huge fangs and a venom that is similar to that of the deadly Sydney funnel-web spider this spider is every bit as dangerous as it looks.
Whilst the mouse spider is potentially dangerous it is far less aggressive than the Sydney funnel-web plus it often gives ‘dry bites’, i.e. without venom. Therefore it appears lower on this list than its meaner cousin.

Lyrics:
The piercing radiant moon,
The storming of poor June,
All the liferunning through her hair,
Approaching guiding light,
Our shallow years in fright,
Dreams are made winding through my head,
Through my head,
Before you know,
Awake,
Your lives are open wide,
The V-chip gives them sight,
All the life running through her hair,
The spiders all in tune,
The evening of the moon,
Dreams are made winding through my head,
Through my head,
Before you know,
Awake

FINALLY a generic note to all who watch this video:
Thanks for your comments liking the vid but no your are wrong (if you suggest/imply or simply state the following about the making of this film): I never tore off an legs put any crickets/grasshoppers near holes etc. This vid took over 3 weeks to film not to mention the several weeks before filming to scope an area of over 400m2 looking for active spiders in their holes and noting at what time of day they came out and when and where the sun direction was from, temperature, when crickets (they were actually day cricket and not grasshoppers) were about etc. Everything you see on FCF is very well thought out, with a proper productions, and thorough research liaising with world authorities on subject matter for accurate narrations .Sometimes SFX are indeed added however there are no interspecies conflicts nor are there any forced conflicts just loads of research, careful and detailed observations, and the stuff you can't buy off the shelf and that's patience and dealing with the countless times you sit there getting eaten alive by mosquitos, bitten by ants to make something like what you see here in this short film.
Thanks for watching!

Worlds Largest Spider! The Giant huntsman spider is huge, but not deadly to humans. Biggest in the world, the Giant Huntsman Spider was just recently discovered in 2001 in a Cave in Laos.
Their torso averages about 2 inches long but it's their leg-span which earn them the title as the biggest spider in the world as they can extend to 12 inches long which is about the size of this dinner plate! (show dinner plate)
The Goliath Birdeater is considered the second biggest spider in the world or largest if you classify it by sheer mass.
These giant huntsman spiders are often mistaken for tarantulas because of their size, however you can easily tell them apart because of their unique crab-like legs which allow them to move side to side with incredible speed and agility making them lighting fast.
Although they can produce silk these spiders don't usually build webs as their name comes from their ability to stalk and hunt down their prey.
Have you seen Arachnophobia?
Like something out of a horror movie these giant carnivorous spiders jump on and attack their prey injecting venom into their victims liquifying the soft tissues which make their prey easy to ingest.
They mainly feed on insects and small invertebrates like lizards but sometimes bigger predators become prey as birds, geckos and other animals that try to attack the huntsman spider end up "instead" becoming the SPIDER's next meal
Although a human encounter with one of these fearsome spiders may seem deadly, they're venom is not fatal to humans though their bite is very painful and in addition to some swelling of the skin other effects may include nausea, vomiting and headaches.
These spiders only live about 2 years and amazingly they're able to regenerate lost limbs.
Since it's discovery, these spiders have been turning up all over the world, with recent reports in Florida and Hawaii. They love to inhabit sheds, garages, other dark isolated places.
If you find a giant huntsman spider in your home YOU should get rid of it immediately as the female spiders can lay up to 200 eggs and populate very fast. It's best try to relocated the spider instead of killing it as spiders play an important role in controlling the population of other insects and pests.
However caution should be taken as these spiders move very quickly and will be difficult to catch and if dealing with a mother spider guarding her eggs she may become extremely aggressive toward you and because if this it might be best to hire an exterminator to handle the removal process.
