Thao Vang Lor: They were going to take me away. They're pissed because I blew my first initiation.::Walt Kowalski: Yeah, you're a real pussy for wanting to hang out with that gang. What was your initiation anyway? [Thao gestures at the car] My Gran Torino?
Walt Kowalski: You know, Thao and Sue are never going to find peace in this world as long as that gang's around.
Duke: What you lookin' at old man?::Walt Kowalski: Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have fucked with? That's me.
Walt Kowalski: Oh, I've got one. A Mexican, a Jew, and a colored guy go into a bar. The bartender looks up and says, "Get the fuck out of here."
Walt Kowalski: Jesus, Joseph and Mary. These Hmong broads are like badgers.
Walt Kowalski: [sneering and aiming his gun] Get off my lawn!
Thao Vang Lor: Excuse me Sir, I need a haircut if you ain't too busy you old Italian son of a bitch prick barber. Boy, does my ass hurt from all of the guys at my construction job.
Walt Kowalski: [to Su] Get me another beer, Dragon Lady! This one's running on empty.
Walt Kowalski: Relax, Zipperhead.
Barber Martin: There. You finally look like a human being again. You shouldn't wait so long between hair cuts, you cheap son of a bitch.::Walt Kowalski: Yeah. I'm surprised you're still around. I was always hoping you'd die off and they got someone in here that knew what the hell they were doing. Instead, you're just hanging around like the doo-wop dago you are.::Barber Martin: That'll be ten bucks, Walt.::Walt Kowalski: Ten bucks? Jesus Christ, Marty. What are you, half Jew or somethin'? You keep raising the damn prices all the time.::Barber Martin: It's been ten bucks for the last five years, you hard-nosed Polack son of a bitch.::Walt Kowalski: Yeah, well keep the change.::Barber Martin: See you in three weeks, prick.::Walt Kowalski: Not if I see you first, dipshit.
Plot
Vu and Phung live in the suburbs. To escape from their chaotic everyday life they go to the local car cemetery. One day their games there go terribly wrong. Vu tries to cover up what happened, with fatal consequences for others as well as himself.
Through the good times. Through the bad times. When a Man Loves a Woman it's for all times.
What Love Built A Secret Could Destroy...
Alice Green: I think I could love you again if you could, for once, say 'I don't know.'
Alice Green: Fuck that! Fuck making it better. It's not getting better! I don't know how to make it better and I swear to God you don't either!
Alice Green: That is a sad little ensemble!
Michael Green: My wife is an alcoholic. Best person I ever met. She has 600 different smiles. They can light up your life. They can make you laugh out loud, just like that. They can even make you cry, just like that. That's just with her smiles. You'd have to see her with her kids. You'd have to see how they look at her, when she's not looking. To think of all the things she lives through, and I couldn't help her.::Alice Green: Maybe helping wasn't your job.::Michael Green: Well, it wasn't. See I love her. And I tried everything, except really listening, really listening, and that's how I left her alone. I was so ashamed of that, and I couldn't even tell her. Maybe if I tell her she'd love me anyway.::Alice Green: Or more. She would have loved you even more. I think you should tell all this stuff to your wife.
Alice Green: It's horrifying how much you can hate yourself for being low and weak and he couldn't save me from that. So I turned it on him; I tried to empty it onto him. But there was always more, you know. When he tried to help I told him that he made me feel small and worthless. But nobody makes us feel that, we do that for ourselves. I shut him out because I knew if he ever really saw who I was inside, that he wouldn't love me. And we're separated now, he's moved away, and it was so hard not to beg him to stay. And I don't know if I'm going to get a second chance but I have to believe. That I deserve one. Because we all do.
Michael Green: Come on, let's be real. You're clean. You stay hopeless and confused. Keep polishing those skills. And I'll take the heat. 'Cause I got some needs of my own. When I touch my wife, I like it better if her skin doesn't crawl. [Alice tries to interrupt] . My wife hurts. I need to be able to say 'What's wrong, honey? Something I can do? And I love you. So fuck me.'
Alice Green: No Michael, we're supposed to try to be real. And when you feel alone, you are not together, and that is real.
Alice Green: I drink a quart a day. It's vodka so you couldn't smell it.
Alice Green: It's a press-on tattoo!
Casey Green: Cat got your tongue?

Stephanie says
(reed)
Stephanie says that she wants to know
Why she's given half her life, to people she hates now
Stephanie says when answering the phone
What country shall I say is calling from across the world
But she's not afraid to die, the people all call her alaska
Between worlds so the people ask her 'cause it's all in her mind
It's all in her mind
Stephanie says that she wants to know
Why it is though she's the door she can't be the room
Stephanie says but doesn't hang up the phone
What sea shell she is calling from across the world
But she's not afraid to die, the people all cal her alaska
Between worlds so the people ask her 'cause it's all in her mind
It's all in her mind
She asks you is it good or bad
It's such an icy feeling it's so cold in alaska,
It's so cold in alaska, it's so cold in alaska
