An introduction and guide on what to look for when buying Compact Flash (CF cards) or SD cards for your photography or video needs.
This is not a scientific test, so please don't cristise with my ancient timing method. This was tested using the Nikon D800, RAW, burst mode @ 4fps. All I did was pressed the shutter button and see how many photos it would take and how long it would take for the camera to process.
RESULTS:
32gb Sandisk 160mb/s = 20 photos in one burst at 20.9sec
16gb Sandisk 90mb/s = 20 photos in one burst at 22.3sec
16gb Sandisk 60mb/s = 20 photos in one burst at 23.4sec~ (est.)
NOTE: all cards were formatted in the camera, prior shooting. This was done for recreational purposes, please don't take this video seriously.

This is a quick bit of information explaining what you need to look for in Compact flash card speeds in order to shoot HD video on your Canon 7D camera.
I've tested several brands and found that 133x is just fine for video mode on your canon 7d.

March 7th: The D3S test is out! Check it out in my channel!
Feb. 14th, 2014: New card works flawlessly and no errors have occurred yet. I suspect that my first defect was just a needle in a haystack and you won't likely have the same problem. Kingston honoured their lifetime warranty with no questions asked and I am very happy with them. I stand by my call that this is the best CF card on the market right now (considering its low price and high performance).
Dec 12th, 2013: New card arrived after a slight mistake in my address at Kingston. New card working extremely well with no errors. Will keep using this card to see how it goes. Will test again in a Nikon D3S.
Oct. 7th, 2013: Card corrupted again yesterday; I lost about 94 photos (I was able to recover them using MediaRECOVER). I've since contacted the Kingston Warranty dept and they were prompt in their response to my problem, making everything easier. They gave me instructions to ship the card to their facility and, upon receiving the card, will send me a new one.
Maybe you should stick to SanDisk if you can't have failing gear. My Sandisks and Lexars have NEVER failed.
1. The card has corrupted recently TWICE from unknown errors (could be my own fault for formatting it in-camera too many times). The fix for such event is to insert it into a computer and do a thorough format (NOT quick-format). I did that to the card and it has been super reliable since. Note that a regular format of the card can take up to 2 hours (mine took just over one hour).
2. The card was further tested in the Canon 5D Mark II. After shooting 4 pitch-black shots with a body cap on, the files (20.3 MB each) were written to the card in less than 2 seconds after the burst ended. That's incredibly fast!

CompactFlash (CF) is a mass storage device format used in portable electronic devices. The format was first specified and produced by SanDisk in 1994. It is now used for a variety of devices; most contain flash memory but some, such as the Microdrive, contain a hard disk.
CompactFlash became the most successful of the early memory card formats, surpassing Miniature Card, SmartMedia, and PC Card Type I in popularity. Subsequent formats, such as MMC/SD, various Memory Stick formats, and xD-Picture Card offered stiff competition. Most of these cards are smaller than CompactFlash while offering comparable capacity and speed. Proprietary memory card formats for use in professional audio and video, such as P2 and SxS, are physically larger, faster, and costlier.
CompactFlash remains popular and is even supported in some new devices. For example, in 2008, Sony chose CompactFlash as the recording medium for the HVR-MRC1K tapeless video recorder over smaller MemoryStick cards or expensive SxS cards. In 2010, Canon chose CompactFlash as the recording medium for its new professional high-definition video cameras, and Ikegami devices record digital video onto CompactFlash cards through an adaptor.

This is not a scientific test, so please don't cristise with my ancient timing method. This was tested using the Nikon D800, RAW, burst mode @ 4fps. All I did was pressed the shutter button and see how many photos it would take and how long it would take for the camera to process.
RESULTS:
32gb Sandisk 160mb/s = 20 photos in one burst at 20.9sec
16gb Sandisk 90mb/s = 20 photos in one burst at 22.3sec
16gb Sandisk 60mb/s = 20 photos in one burst at 23.4sec~ (est.)
NOTE: all cards were formatted in the camera, prior shooting. This was done for recreational purposes, please don't take this video seriously.

Feb. 14th, 2014: New card works flawlessly and no errors have occurred yet. I suspect that my first defect was just a needle in a haystack and you won't likely have the same problem. Kingston honoured their lifetime warranty with no questions asked and I am very happy with them. I stand by my call that this is the best CF card on the market right now (considering its low price and high performance).
Dec 12th, 2013: New card arrived after a slight mistake in my address at Kingston. New card working extremely well with no errors. Will keep using this card to see how it goes. Will test again in a Nikon D3S.
Oct. 7th, 2013: Card corrupted again yesterday; I lost about 94 photos (I was able to recover them using MediaRECOVER). I've since contacted the Kingston Warranty dept and they were prompt in their response to my problem, making everything easier. They gave me instructions to ship the card to their facility and, upon receiving the card, will send me a new one.
Maybe you should stick to SanDisk if you can't have failing gear. My Sandisks and Lexars have NEVER failed.
1. The card has corrupted recently TWICE from unknown errors (could be my own fault for formatting it in-camera too many times). The fix for such event is to insert it into a computer and do a thorough format (NOT quick-format). I did that to the card and it has been super reliable since. Note that a regular format of the card can take up to 2 hours (mine took just over one hour).
2. The card was further tested in the Canon 5D Mark II. After shooting 4 pitch-black shots with a body cap on, the files (20.3 MB each) were written to the card in less than 2 seconds after the burst ended. That's incredibly fast!

Je n'ai malheureusement pas eu le de le la s'est bloquée après -5600 photos.
et dès ce moment elle devenue illisible impossible de récupérer quoi que ce soit dessus.
J'ai perdu 1 mois de de vacance tout cela une qui coûte 166
Pour ma part je suis très déçu et de toutes mes de souvenir.
Plus de 160 à la poubelle aurait dû assurer quelques temps.
Seulement 2 de vie je trouve scandaleux en lorsque je veux la renvoyer la garantie me dit l'article ne peut être retourné.
Méfiez-vous avant l'achat de ce type de matériel.
Plus jamais on ne m'y reprendra

Et bien après clonage et réinstallation, vraiment été surpris de la vitesse de ce à mon (qui du je le rappelle) un gain de temps au démarrage Windows très net (30 à 40% plus rapide).
