Evernote has often said that it intends to be around for at least a century, which may well be why they’ve situated themselves in a very large building that gives them tons of room to grow in the years ahead. In the video embedded above you can see the difference between the floors that they’re currently occupying, and the ones that have not yet been given the Evernote touch — it’s safe to say the building is a much more fun place to be now than it was when other companies called it home. Apple’s smartwatch was on display again at today’s special Apple event, and this time we actually got to try a live unit. The Apple Watch’s hardware is of course still quite impressive, with the stainless steel especially catching the eye. The 38mm version still feels better on my wrist, but the 42mm is also not overly large. Apple revealed today that the larger version will be $50 more than its smaller counterpart in most cases, which is good news for those like me who prefer the smaller face.
First look at Apple’s newest MacBook is clearly designed to set the stage for all Apple notebooks to come – it has a dramatically thin body, which measures only 13.1-inches deep at its thickest point, and a 12-inch display with a very small surrounding bezel. The screen has Retina resolution of 2304×1440, with a 16:10 aspect ratio, and the computer has just one port for power and data input/output (plus a 3.5mm stereo jack for headsets). A hands on look at the new MacBook, Apple's brand new ultra-thin, nearly portless computer. Subscribe to TechCrunch today: http://bit.ly/18J0X2e

Chinese electronics company Xiaomi gave TechCrunch an in-depth look at its products and business model. The phone runs MIUI 6, Xiaomi’s take on Android. Its home screen and built-in apps look and feel quite a bit like recent iterations of iOS. The 16 GB model costs roughly $370, significantly undercutting the iPhone and other Android devices aimed at the premium market. Unfortunately the phone doesn’t support LTE in the United States, so we were stuck with Wi-Fi and 2G cellular for testing.
