In this (very exciting) 1990 episode of Mathnet, George and Kate receive a coded message from a famous undefeated wrestler known as The Masked Avenger. A mob of greedy gamblers are blackmailing him to throw a charity wrestling tournament by telling the public about a tragic event that occured on March 13th, 1968:
During that time, the Avenger wrestled under a different name: "Puddin' Tame". He fought against The Flying Hun, and after the fight, he had a heart attack, collapsed, and died (the Avenger did not kill him; the Hun had a series of heart problems and forged all his medical records). Nonetheless, everyone renamed Puddin' Tame Killer Puddin'. The Avenger stopped wrestling for a year, but the game was in his blood, so he returned to the game, now under the name millions know and love today.
Although the Mathnetters urge him to confess to the public, the Masked Avenger has but one option: Throw the fight.
The next day, after giving it some thought, the Avenger holds a press conference and confesses to the public, and is greatly praised. Unfortunately for him, the Mob has other plans. They blow up his automobile. Luckily, he was not inside.
The next day, the Avenger's daughter, Terri, darts into the office and informs the Mathnetters that her dog, Terhune, had been kidnapped by a fake dog catcher. The only way she can see Terhune alive is if her father takes a meeting with the Mob that night at 10:00. George, however, has a plan of his own: Instead of the Masked Avenger himself attending the meeting, it's George Frankly: Masked 'Netter.
That night, George, in the Masked Avenger's spare uniform, arrives at the dock, where he comes face-to-face with the Mob. They attempt to bribe him with $250,000 into throwing in the towel, but he declines. The next day, unfortunately, things only get worse. The Masked Avenger (the REAL one) has been kidnapped by the Mob (one of whom was the fake dog catcher who kidnapped Terhune) so that he will not fight in the charity match.
The next day, the Mathnetters plot to track down the Mob and save the Avenger and Terhune before fight night, otherwise, the match (it being for charity) automatically goes to his opponent (from whom the Mob was acting under orders): Dr. Snooze, by default.
Dr. Snooze used to be a college professor in chemical research at Michigan State University, under the name of Sydney Septum. Septum was looking for a compound that would keep athletes awake during practice. He resigned a year ago to become a pro-wrestler.
The Mathnetters suddenly realize that Dr. Snooze had won all his fights by means of a special ring. He never found the means to keep athletes awake, but found a way to sedate them with sleeping gas, which is concealed in his ring.
That night, while Kate and Terri search pet shops in Greater New York, where they suspect the Mob is holding the Masked Avenger and Terhune prisoner, George and Benny arrive at Madison Square Garden. The reluctant mathematician, still with the Avenger's spare uniform, must thwart Dr. Snooze and the Mob by fighting the rigged wrestler.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
Tom Hardy (“The Dark Knight Rises”) stars in the title role in “Mad Max: Fury Road”—the fourth in the franchise’s history. Oscar winner Charlize Theron (“Monster,” “Prometheus”) stars as the Imperator, Furiosa. The film also stars Nicholas Hoult (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) as Nux; Hugh Keays-Byrne (“Mad Max,” “Sleeping Beauty”) as Immortan Joe; and Nathan Jones (“Conan the Barbarian”) as Rictus Erectus. This is the video made at the Port Orange Summer Camp in 2012. It was a spoof on the summer blockbuster "The Avengers". We made almost 100% of Iron Mans suit from cardboard and duct tape. Only the mask was bought. Most of the outfits were recycled rec dept. team uniforms. The kids did all of the video, sound, and directing with guidance from the counselors. All Editing and Special FX were done by one of the counselors in house. The music was chosen by another counselor. This was all done for a summer camp video contest between out 2 camps at the end of the year. No money was earned from the making of this movie for the camp or individuals involved. Just a fun and different experience than most camps offer. We hope you enjoy.

Christopher "Chris" Adams (10 February 1955 – 7 October 2001), best known as "Gentleman" Chris Adams, was an English professional wrestler, wrestling promoter, trainer, part-time model, and judoka. By age 21, he was a three-time British National Judo Champion in his age and weight class. He wrestled primarily in Texas, in particular World Class Championship Wrestling, where he was one of the promotion's most popular wrestlers. He is known for training Scott Hall and Steve Austin, and is also famous as the first wrestler to popularise the famous superkick finishing move, which would later be used by dozens of other wrestlers.
Early life
Adams was born in Rugby, Warwickshire, the oldest son of Cyril and Jean Adams. Beginning at the age of nine, he was involved in judo, training in it exclusively for 14 years. He and his younger brother Neil went on to win national and world championships in judo, with Neil going on to win a silver medal at both the 1980 Summer Olympics and the 1984 Summer Olympics. Adams was a member of Britain's 1976 Summer Olympics judo squad, but never competed in the Olympics. He held a black belt in Judo and was also an expert in other areas of the martial arts. In addition, he competed in rugby, cricket, football, and amateur wrestling; away from athletics, he was also studying architecture.

Mad Max
Mad Max is a 1979 Australian dystopian action film directed by George Miller, produced by Byron Kennedy, and starring Mel Gibson. James McCausland and Miller wrote the screenplay from a story by Miller and Kennedy.
The film earned $100 million worldwide in gross revenue. It held the Guinness record for most profitable film from 1980-1999 and has been credited for further opening up the global market to Australian New Wave films. The film became the first in a series, spawning the sequels The Road Warrior (1981), Beyond Thunderdome (1985), and Fury Road (2015).
Plot
A berserk motorcycle gang member named Crawford "Nightrider" Montazano (Vincent Gil), having killed a rookie officer of an Australian highway patrol called the Main Force Patrol (MFP) while escaping from police custody, is attempting to outrun the other MFP officers in a stolen Pursuit Special. Though he manages to elude his initial pursuers, the MFP's top pursuit-man, Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson), then engages the less-skilled Nightrider in a high-speed chase. During a sudden game of "chicken", the Nightrider breaks off first, his nerve gone in the confrontation with Max; Nightrider is unable to recover his wits, which leads to his death in a fiery crash.

Masked Avengers
The Masked Avengers, or Les Justiciers Masqués, are a Canadian radio duo from Montreal, Quebec, made up of disc jockeys and comedians Sébastien Trudel and Marc-Antoine Audette, known for making prank calls to famous persons by pretending to be government officials or officers in charitable organizations. Working mostly in French, except for their international prank calls, they appear on the afternoon program Les Cerveaux de l'info on CKOI-FM in Montreal.
Past victims of their pranks have included Gilles Duceppe, rock stars Bono and Mick Jagger, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Formula One driver Jacques Villeneuve, U.S. business tycoon Donald Trump, and 2008 United States Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin. The duo have also been incorrectly credited with a prank call to Queen Elizabeth II in 1995, which was in fact placed by another CKOI-FM host, Pierre Brassard, from Les Bleu Poudre.
Audette and Trudel met as classmates at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf in Montréal.

This is the video made at the Port Orange Summer Camp in 2012. It was a spoof on the summer blockbuster "The Avengers". We made almost 100% of Iron Mans suit from cardboard and duct tape. Only the mask was bought. Most of the outfits were recycled rec dept. team uniforms. The kids did all of the video, sound, and directing with guidance from the counselors. All Editing and Special FX were done by one of the counselors in house. The music was chosen by another counselor. This was all done for a summer camp video contest between out 2 camps at the end of the year. No money was earned from the making of this movie for the camp or individuals involved. Just a fun and different experience than most camps offer. We hope you enjoy. -

In this (very exciting) 1990 episode of Mathnet, George and Kate receive a coded message from a famous undefeated wrestler known as The Masked Avenger. A mob of greedy gamblers are blackmailing him to throw a charity wrestling tournament by telling the public about a tragic event that occured on March 13th, 1968:

Although the Mathnetters urge him to confess to the public, the Masked Avenger has but one option: Throw the fight.
The next day, after giving it some thought, the Avenger holds a press conference and confesses to the public, and is greatly praised. Unfortunately for him, the Mob has other plans. They blow up his automobile. Luckily, he was not inside.
The next day, the Avenger's daughter, Terri, darts into the office and informs the Mathnetters that her dog, Terhune, had been kidnapped by a fake dog catcher. The only way she can see Terhune alive is if her father takes a meeting with the Mob that night at 10:00. George, however, has a plan of his own: Instead of the Masked Avenger himself attending the meeting, it's George Frankly: Masked 'Netter.
That night, George, in the Masked Avenger's spare uniform, arrives at the dock, where he comes face-to-face with the Mob. They attempt to bribe him with $250,000 into throwing in the towel, but he declines. The next day, unfortunately, things only get worse. The Masked Avenger (the REAL one) has been kidnapped by the Mob (one of whom was the fake dog catcher who kidnapped Terhune) so that he will not fight in the charity match.

In this (very exciting) 1990 episode of Mathnet, George and Kate receive a coded message from a famous undefeated wrestler known as The Masked Avenger. A mob of greedy gamblers are blackmailing him to throw a charity wrestling tournament by telling the public about a tragic event that occured on March 13th, 1968:
During that time, the Avenger wrestled under a different name: "Puddin' Tame". He fought against The Flying Hun, and after the fight, he had a heart attack, collapsed, and died (the Avenger did not kill him; the Hun had a series of heart problems and forged all his medical records). Nonetheless, everyone renamed Puddin' Tame Killer Puddin'. The Avenger stopped wrestling for a year, but the game was in his blood, so he returned to the game, now under the name millions know and love today.
Although the Mathnetters urge him to confess to the public, the Masked Avenger has but one option: Throw the fight.
The next day, after giving it some thought, the Avenger holds a press conference and confesses to the public, and is greatly praised. Unfortunately for him, the Mob has other plans. They blow up his automobile. Luckily, he was not inside.
The next day, the Avenger's daughter, Terri, darts into the office and informs the Mathnetters that her dog, Terhune, had been kidnapped by a fake dog catcher. The only way she can see Terhune alive is if her father takes a meeting with the Mob that night at 10:00. George, however, has a plan of his own: Instead of the Masked Avenger himself attending the meeting, it's George Frankly: Masked 'Netter.
That night, George, in the Masked Avenger's spare uniform, arrives at the dock, where he comes face-to-face with the Mob. They attempt to bribe him with $250,000 into throwing in the towel, but he declines. The next day, unfortunately, things only get worse. The Masked Avenger (the REAL one) has been kidnapped by the Mob (one of whom was the fake dog catcher who kidnapped Terhune) so that he will not fight in the charity match.

Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. This is the video made at the Port Orange Summer Camp in 2012. It was a spoof on the summer blockbuster "The Avengers". We made almost 100% of Iron Mans suit from cardboard and duct tape. Only the mask was bought. Most of the outfits were recycled rec dept. team uniforms. The kids did all of the video, sound, and directing with guidance from the counselors. All Editing and Special FX were done by one of the counselors in house. The music was chosen by another counselor. This was all done for a summer camp video contest between out 2 camps at the end of the year. No money was earned from the making of this movie for the camp or individuals involved. Just a fun and different experience than most camps offer. We hope you enjoy.

Mathnet | The Case of the Dirty Money
In this 1987 episode of Mathnet, George and Kate investigate reports of stolen trucks full of dirt. Although all the trucks have been returned, the dirt is gone. They suspect that $1,000,000 worth of stolen money was buried in the dirt. The money was stolen during the Finks Armored Car Robbery, pulled off by Merle Fish, who was convicted of the crime and sentenced to 30 years in state prison. The money was never recovered. Unfortunately, before anyone can get the chance to talk to Fish, the warden informs George that he had died in prison almost a week ago. In this (very exciting) 1990 episode of Mathnet, George and Kate receive a coded message from a famous undefeated wrestler known as The Masked Avenger. A mob of greedy gamblers are blackmailing him to throw a charity wrestling tournament by telling the public about a tragic event that occured on March 13th, 1968:
During that time, the Avenger wrestled under a different name: "Puddin' Tame". He fought against The Flying Hun, and after the fight, he had a heart attack, collapsed, and died (the Avenger did not kill him; the Hun had a series of heart problems and forged all his medical records). Nonetheless, everyone renamed Puddin' Tame Killer Puddin'. The Avenger stopped wrestling for a year, but the game was in his blood, so he returned to the game, now under the name millions know and love today.
Although the Mathnetters urge him to confess to the public, the Masked Avenger has but one option: Throw the fight.
The next day, after giving it some thought, the Avenger holds a press conference and confesses to the public, and is greatly praised. Unfortunately for him, the Mob has other plans. They blow up his automobile. Luckily, he was not inside.
The next day, the Avenger's daughter, Terri, darts into the office and informs the Mathnetters that her dog, Terhune, had been kidnapped by a fake dog catcher. The only way she can see Terhune alive is if her father takes a meeting with the Mob that night at 10:00. George, however, has a plan of his own: Instead of the Masked Avenger himself attending the meeting, it's George Frankly: Masked 'Netter.
That night, George, in the Masked Avenger's spare uniform, arrives at the dock, where he comes face-to-face with the Mob. They attempt to bribe him with $250,000 into throwing in the towel, but he declines. The next day, unfortunately, things only get worse. The Masked Avenger (the REAL one) has been kidnapped by the Mob (one of whom was the fake dog catcher who kidnapped Terhune) so that he will not fight in the charity match.
The next day, the Mathnetters plot to track down the Mob and save the Avenger and Terhune before fight night, otherwise, the match (it being for charity) automatically goes to his opponent (from whom the Mob was acting under orders): Dr. Snooze, by default.
Dr. Snooze used to be a college professor in chemical research at Michigan State University, under the name of Sydney Septum. Septum was looking for a compound that would keep athletes awake during practice. He resigned a year ago to become a pro-wrestler.
The Mathnetters suddenly realize that Dr. Snooze had won all his fights by means of a special ring. He never found the means to keep athletes awake, but found a way to sedate them with sleeping gas, which is concealed in his ring.
That night, while Kate and Terri search pet shops in Greater New York, where they suspect the Mob is holding the Masked Avenger and Terhune prisoner, George and Benny arrive at Madison Square Garden. The reluctant mathematician, still with the Avenger's spare uniform, must thwart Dr. Snooze and the Mob by fighting the rigged wrestler.

In this 1987 episode of Mathnet, George and Kate investigate reports of stolen trucks full of dirt. Although all the trucks have been returned, the dirt is gone. They suspect that $1,000,000 worth of stolen money was buried in the dirt. The money was stolen during the Finks Armored Car Robbery, pulled off by Merle Fish, who was convicted of the crime and sentenced to 30 years in state prison. The money was never recovered. Unfortunately, before anyone can get the chance to talk to Fish, the warden informs George that he had died in prison almost a week ago. They soon suspect that Fish's accomplice, Norman Mailbag, who wrote a book about the robbery, is responsible for the stolen dirt.

Here's part 2 of my 4th of July special.
In this 1988 episode of Mathnet, a young cowboy by the name of Bronco Guillermo Gomez shows George and Kate a map that he believes will lead to almost $90,000 worth of gold robbed from a stage coach by Saddlesore Capone in the old ghost town of Mulch Gulch in the year 1853.
They arrive at the Kern County Library, where they observe the archives of Mulch Gulch before heading to Mulch Gulch. But they are warned by D. John Mutard, the librarian, about Scruffy Rommel, a resident of the deserted town.
When the Mathnetters and Bronco arrive at Mulch Gulch, they settle into camp for the night until they hear the sounds of gunshots and investigate. To their surprise, the town's buildings are lit and they hear voices and music, until they enter, when everything turns off.
The next morning, George trips on an electrical cord, which suddenly leads them to Scruffy Rommel himself, who turns out to be a harmless and only wants to be alone.
Through the use of triangulation and their ropes, George, Kate, and Bronco dig to where the map leads to, only to find the other part of the map.
After several failed attempts, the Mathnetters see the map's reflection in a mirror, which shows them the other part of the map and where to find the gold.
Unfortunately for our heroes, a familiar face, claiming that Saddlesore was his ancestor, shows up to claim all the gold for himself.

Pat and George are invited as guests on the Donnawhy talk show to speak about the importance of mathematics for Math Awareness Week. George, however, is irate -- and gets himself kicked off of the show -- when another guest, Captain Philip Francis Bogey Queeg, claims to have escaped sea monsters in the Bermuda Triangle and shows footage from old horror films as evidence. High school student and boat enthusiast Trudy Ebbtide contacts the Mathnetters and confides with them the true story about Queeg; they were searching for the H.M.S. Twain, a shipwreck loaded with treasures that her ancestor sailed. Finding the treasure could prove that Gramps Ebbtide was not a traitor.
