Zealandia may refer to:
New Zealands striking landscape has been shaped by volcanic activity dating back over 500 million years. From the huge eruptions that created many of our most iconic landscape features such as Lake Taupo, Rangitoto Island and Mt Ruapehu, the presence of volcanic forces can be seen far and wide across the country. The Zealandia video plays in the Volcanoes gallery at Auckland Museum (see http://www.aucklandmuseum.com/volcanoes), open daily from 10am-5pm.
Take a virtual tour of Wellington's world-first wildlife safe haven, ZEALANDIA (www.visitzealandia.com), with this short promotional video. ZEALANDIA is open to the public 364 days a year and is one of the best places to see New Zealand's native animals and plants in the wild. We've just opened a new state-of-the-art visitor complex, which includes a cafe, shop and two-level interactive exhibition on NZ conservation and natural history, so even if its wet and windy, it's a great place to visit. And if you come back at night, you can join us as we search for kiwi and tuatara on our 2.5-hour night walk. Find out more at www.visitzealandia.com!
Geology of the ancient microcontinent Zealandia. Geology of NZ. Zealandia, Australia's Atlantis.
Zealandia , also known as Tasmantis or the New Zealand continent, is a nearly submerged continental fragment that sank after breaking away from Australia 60–85 Ma ago, having separated from Antarctica between 85 and 130 Ma ago. It may have been completely submerged about 23 Ma ago, and most of it remains submerged beneath the Pacific Ocean. This video is targeted to blind users. Watch the restoration of the mighy continent of Zealandia! Just like how the dutch managed to take land away from the ocean, New Zealand can do the same thing, only it will take about a hundred years or more for them to do so! This is just version 1 btw, version 2 will be uploaded shortly!
Located about 10 minutes outside of Wellington's city centre is Zealandia. It's one of the major tourist attractions in Wellington. I wanted to check it out. Though I was seriously nervous since I'm afraid of birds... Goodnight my love
Remember me as you fall to sleep
Fill your pockets with the dust and the memories
That rises from the shoes on my feet
I won't be back here
Though we may meet again
I know it's dark outside
Don't be afraid
Everytime I ever cried from fear
Was just a mistake that I made
Wash yourself in your tears
And build your church
On the strength of your faith
Please
Listen to me
Don't let go
Don't let this desperate moonlight leave me
With your empty pillow
Promise me the sun will rise again
I too am tired now
Embracing thoughts of tonight's dreamless sleep
My head is empty
My toes are warm
