Yes, I was picked up by this family, the only one which I know as mine, some 24 years ago from the garbage dump where I was left  to rot along with other unwanted, disowned objects abandoned by the society.  My parents couldn’t produce a birth certificate during my admission in primary school and had to process a formal adoption.
