1.3 Billion: Breaking Down the Han Chinese Ethnicity
There are roughly 1.3 billion Han Chinese in the world — 20% of the entire global population and the largest ethnic group in the world by far. In this video, we think about the early growth of this population -- what forces created this many people during the Ming and Qing dynasties -- as well as their genetic homogeneity.

Across China, some young people are switching from jeans and T-shirts to long dresses, silky robes and black hats.
They’re not cosplayers or period drama actors, but rather members of a booming movement to turn Hanfu, or ethnic Han clothing, into everyday wear.

The Han Supremacist Problem
Han ethnic supremacy is an emerging point of concern on China's internet and cultural backwaters.
I have seen a bit of this attitude in a few comments posted on this channel. And at first you might want to just dismiss it as a bunch of crazies chattering, but to do so I feel would be a serious mistake. These are real people expressing their real views. In this video, I want to talk a bit more about this troubling new Han supremacy trend.
Note: I don't care if you comment on the video with contrasting views. You might be surprised to find what my views actually are. But be civil.

The Greco-Chinese War Over the Heavenly Horses
In our previous animated historical documentary we have talked about the Ancient Greek state in Bactria (http://bit.ly/2RJpa5u), but this Hellenistic state had to fight a number of wars after the conquests of Alexander. The Greeks of the region (Dayuan) were discovered by China during the expedition of the traveler Zhang Qian and had to fight against the Han dynasty during the War of the Heavenly horses between 104 and 101 BC. this war changed the fate of the region, and contributed to the creation of the Silk Road.
