Dziś pokazuje wam historię jednego z najprostszych narzędzi do zabijania w historii ludzkości.
Sink the Bismarck (1960)
Dunkirk (1958)
Oh! What a Lovely War (1969)
Scarface (1932)
STEN submachine guns production and testing (1942)

The film traces the progress of three Marines on shore leave during WWII, in the Pacific. One of the men, Nico (Jeffrey Hunter), is a gung-ho patriot; the second, Frankie (Robert Wagner), is a perennial goof-off; and the third, Alan (Bradford Dillman), hopes to prove his worth to his wealthy father.[3]
Nico, Frankie and Alan come to San Francisco on a furlough from the war. Nico proposes to his pregnant girlfriend Andrea (Hope Lange). A drunken Frankie fights with Charlie Stanton, his hateful stepfather, who thinks him a coward. The wealthy Alan catches his fiancee, Sue (Dana Wynter), with another man.
Lorraine (Sheree North), who is in love with Frankie, has joined the military as a WAVE. She introduces his friend Alan to her roommate Kalai (France Nuyen), a nurse of Hawaiian-French heritage. They all go to Lorraine's apartment, where Frankie first passes out, then wakes up screaming at the thought of returning to the war. Lorraine decides to leave him.
The three men return to the Pacific front, where they end up engaged in a frightening battle. Frankie shows cowardice and Nico tries to slap sense into him. Frankie is honored for his heroism, but Nico is killed while single-handedly confronting an advancing tank.
Alan learns that Sue has attempted suicide. He returns to Kalai, who is in love with him. Frankie, now promoted to sergeant, brings Nico's last love letter home to Andrea, who has given birth to their child.

Dunkirk has become a siege town. While a large number of the army have been evacuated many tens of thousands still remain. Jimmy Langley is injured during fierce fighting trying to hold back the final German advance and taken to a casualty clearing station where Major Newman has been trying to evacuate his wounded patients. However no arrangements have been made for them and they are left behind to face the Germans who arrive on the same day as Churchill makes his famous speech vowing 'we will never surrender'.

In May 1940, with the Allied forces pinned back to the French coast, a flotilla of 700 trawlers, pleasure craft and life boats helped lift the retreating soldiers off the beaches, saving thousands of lives. The evacuation became known as the "Miracle of Dunkirk", and to mark its 70th anniversary the surviving "Little Ships" that took part are returning to France. Dan Snow explores their remarkable story, meeting some of those who keep the original vessels afloat today.

A video of one of the two chalets we have for let at Camber sands on the Park resort. It is five minutes walk from the fantastic two and a half mile sandy beach with shops and restaurants nearby. It is ten minutes drive to Rye which is a quaint village full of artists studios and antique shops and is wonderfully picturesque and makes for a great afternoon out. Camber sands is a twenty minute drive from Hastings, home of the famous battle of Hastings of 1066 which boasts (among other things) a Sea life centre, beach side fun fare, go kart tracks, a great amusement arcade, fishing village which sells fresh sea food caught that day, a historic cable lift up to the cliff top where you can see for miles and the modern town where you can do all your regular shopping. It also has a main line station to London.
Camber sands is a blue flag award winning beach
In Camber Village there are 5 or 6 cafes, a couple of chip shops, a couple of general stores, a post office, several shops selling beach goods etc, some amusements and a couple of pubs. There is food out there as long as you are prepared to pay for it. It is a tourist resort and as such you are well advised to shop at supermarkets or it is going to cost you. Nearest big Tesco is Hastings or Ashford ( up to about 20 miles away), medium size Sainsbury's in New Romney ( 7 miles or so ) and Morrisons in Hastings about 15 miles away
The beach has become a popular location for kitesurfing, kiteboarding and kite buggying due to its large size, compact sand and favourable wind conditions.
The beach was used in the 1958 film Dunkirk starring John Mills to recreate Operation Dynamo. They were used again as Normandy beaches during D-Day in the 1962 epic The Longest Day.
Carry On Follow That Camel was shot on location here during the early months of 1967 when Camber Sands doubled for the Sahara Desert although filming had to be stopped several times because the dunes were covered in snow!
For enquiries for either of our chalets please call 07540 805 085 or email us at camberchaletowner@hotmail.co.uk.
Many thanks
