1. God's Purpose...Peace and Life
God loves you and wants you to know Him so He can fill you with peace and give you real life -- forever.
The Bible says::
Because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace with God (Romans 5:1)
God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never die (John 3:16).
Jesus said:
"I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest" (John 10:10).
Since God planned for us to have peace and real life right now, why are so many people hurting or angry inside?
2. Our Problem...Separation From God- God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God and ends in misery.
The Bible says:
All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's holiness (Romans 3:23).
The result of unforgiven sin is death. But God's gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
The Bible says that disobeying God results in being separated from Him.
Our attempts can never unite us with God. Through the ages, people have tried many ways to bridge this gap and reach God -- without success.
The Bible says:
Adam sinned, and that sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die (Romans 5:12).
You may think you are on the right road and still end up dead (Proverbs 14:12).
There is only one way to reach God.
3. God's Remedy...The Cross
God's Purpose... Peace and Life
Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem. He is the only One who can bring us back to God. He died on the Cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between God and people.
The Bible says:
There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God (1 Timothy 2:5). Christ died once for our sins. An innocent person died for those who are guilty. Christ did this to bring you to God (1 Peter 3:18). But God showed how much He loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful (Romans 5:8).
God has provided the only way -- we must make the choice.
4. Our Response...Give Ourselves to Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and determine to obey Him for the rest of our lives. That way we can know God and find peace again.
The Bible says:
So you will be saved, if you honestly say, Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from death. God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this (Romans 10:9-10).
Is there any good reason why you cannot turn your life over to Jesus Christ right now?
How to give your life to Christ:
1. Admit you are a sinner and need forgiveness.
2. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
3. Through prayer, confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit to live for Him for the rest of your life

The Covenant Love of God (Hosea 1 - 2:1)
In this modern day telling of the book of Hosea, Hosea has entered into a covenant with Gomer just as God has entered into a covenant with his people, us. We have not merely broken God's law; we have broken God's heart. We have grieved him. Despite all our spiritual adultery, we cannot exhaust the love of God and we deserve to be shown "No Mercy" and called "Not My People", but because Jesus was shown no mercy and was forsaken by the Father, we can rest secure in God's love for us. There is nothing in us that can evoke the love of God, and there is nothing in us that can exhaust the love of God.

Hosea revealed little about his background, though his book of prophecy offers a few glimpses into his life. Hosea (
/ˌhoʊˈzeɪ.ə/; Hebrew: הוֹשֵׁעַ, Modern Hoshea Tiberian Hôšēăʻ ; "Salvation", Greek Ὠσηέ = Ōsēe) was the son of Beeri, a prophet in Israel in the 8th century BC and author of the book of prophecies bearing his name. He is one of the Twelve Prophets of the Jewish Hebrew Bible, also known as the Minor Prophets of the Christian Old Testament. Hosea is often seen as a "prophet of doom", but underneath his message of destruction is a promise of restoration. The Talmud (Pesachim 87a) claims from God that he was the greatest prophet of his generation, which included the more famous Isaiah. The period of Hosea's ministry extended to some sixty years and he was the only prophet of Israel who left any written prophecy.
The name "Hosea", probably meaning "help," seems to have been not uncommon, being derived from the auspicious verb from which we have the frequently recurring word "salvation." It may be a contraction of a larger form of which the Divine name or its abbreviation formed a part, so as to signify "God is help," or "Help, God." according to Numbers 13:8,16 that was the original name of Joshua son of Nun, till Moses gave him the longer name (compounded with the name of Yahweh) which he continued to bear (yehoshua`), "Yahweh is salvation.".

Charles "Chuck" Missler is an author, evangelical Christian, Bible teacher, former businessman and US Naval officer. He is the founder of the Koinonia House ministry based in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Missler was for several years the chairman, the chief executive, and the largest shareholder of Western Digital. In 1983 he became the chairman and chief executive of Helionetics Inc., another technology company. After teaching for many years at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, Missler moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1992 and founded Koinonia House. Through this organization, Missler distributes a monthly newsletter, Bible study tapes, and a radio show, and speaks at conferences.
Missler is a prominent speaker on the subject of bible prophecy. Missler has had numerous programs aired on the Christian television station GOD TV, namely the DVD versions of his biblical studies "Learn the Bible in 24 Hours", "The Book of Revelation", "The Book of Genesis", and "The Book of Daniel".[citation needed] A Los Angeles Times article reported that Missler and co-author Hal Lindsey had plagiarized a portion of Miami University Professor Edwin Yamauchi's 1982 book Foes From the Northern Frontier in their own 1992 book The Magog Factor. A YouTube video in which Missler uses a jar of peanut butter to attempt to disprove evolution attracted media attention in 2007-2008.

God loves you and wants you to know Him so He can fill you with peace and give you real life -- forever.
The Bible says::
Because of our Lord Jesus Christ, we live at peace with God (Romans 5:1)
God loved the people of this world so much that He gave His only son, so that everyone who has faith in Him will have eternal life and never die (John 3:16).
Jesus said:
"I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest" (John 10:10).
Since God planned for us to have peace and real life right now, why are so many people hurting or angry inside?
2. Our Problem...Separation From God- God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time, we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God and ends in misery.
The Bible says:
All of us have sinned and fallen short of God's holiness (Romans 3:23).
The result of unforgiven sin is death. But God's gift is eternal life given by Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
The Bible says that disobeying God results in being separated from Him.
Our attempts can never unite us with God. Through the ages, people have tried many ways to bridge this gap and reach God -- without success.
The Bible says:
Adam sinned, and that sin brought death into the world. Now everyone has sinned, and so everyone must die (Romans 5:12).
You may think you are on the right road and still end up dead (Proverbs 14:12).
There is only one way to reach God.
3. God's Remedy...The Cross
God's Purpose... Peace and Life
Jesus Christ is the only answer to this problem. He is the only One who can bring us back to God. He died on the Cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between God and people.
The Bible says:
There is only one God, and Christ Jesus is the only one who can bring us to God (1 Timothy 2:5). Christ died once for our sins. An innocent person died for those who are guilty. Christ did this to bring you to God (1 Peter 3:18). But God showed how much He loved us by having Christ die for us, even though we were sinful (Romans 5:8).
God has provided the only way -- we must make the choice.
4. Our Response...Give Ourselves to Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and determine to obey Him for the rest of our lives. That way we can know God and find peace again.

Is there any good reason why you cannot turn your life over to Jesus Christ right now?
How to give your life to Christ:

2. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.

In this modern day telling of the book of Hosea, Hosea has entered into a covenant with Gomer just as God has entered into a covenant with his people, us. The book of Hosea is a Narrative History and Prophetic Oracle. Hosea is the first book in the sections of Minor Prophets. They are called Minor Prophets not because their material is less important or insignificant, but because of the size of the book they wrote was shorter in length. The prophet Hosea wrote it at approximately 715 B.C. It records the events from 753-715 B.C. including the fall of the Northern Kingdom in 722. The key personalities are Hosea, Gomer, and their children.
Its purpose was to illustrate the spiritual adultery of Israel and God’s boundless love for His sinful people. Hosea brings God’s message to the wicked Northern Kingdom.
During this time, they are active in oppressing the poor in slavery and worshipping idols. God, because of His grace, sent another opportunity for Israel to repent and turn to Him. Shortly thereafter, the Northern Kingdom went into permanent captivity.
• In chapters 1-3, God gives Hosea instructions to marry an unfaithful woman and he obeys. His unfaithful wife Gomer leaves him and finds another man. Hosea is faithful; he finds her, redeems her and brings her back home to him. “Then I said to her, ‘You shall stay with me for many days. You shall not play the harlot, nor shall you have a man; so I will also be toward you” (3:3).
• Chapters 4-14 Hosea describes how Israel has been unfaithful to God. God wants Israel to repent and turn from their wickedness. She is a London-based media artist and works as Course Director of MA Character Animation and Research Leader for the Centre for Performance, Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London), where she recently completed a practice-based PhD in animation as performance. She is an Adobe Certified Expert and has taught in the UK, USA, China, Holland, Romania, Austria and Sweden.
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Since the dawn of time and the invention of fire, human beings have been telling stories with shadows. Mixing ancient and modern techniques, students will work in groups to explore techniques of shadow character visualization, collaborative storytelling and object performance through the use of paper puppets and digital video to tell stories and rapidly create dynamic narrative images. They will be introduced to a range of approaches to shadow art – such the telling of tales in traditional shadow plays and the work of Lotte Reiniger; the visualization of the subconscious in German Expressionist theatre and film and contemporary artists who use shadow puppetry to confront difficult issues such as William Kentridge and Kara Walker. The course will include a field trip to the Baku Puppet Theatre. By the end of the course, students will have experienced a range of creative techniques such as the use of chance-based strategies and performance as process. They will have increased confidence in working rapidly and spontaneously, in publicly presenting their ideas, giving and receiving constructive feedback. Selected works will form the basis of an exhibition.

He goes by the ring nickname 'The Hammer' due to his big right hand and has been likened to Thomas 'The Hitman' Hearns because of his height, slim frame and sharp punching power. The comparison with the ''Motor City Cobra' and the moniker 'The Hammer have been bestowed on him by his coach Joe Gallagher and that is just fine by Hosea, Hearns is his favourite fighter!
A former ABA champion and accomplished amateur Hosea, or for those who know him that's pronounced (Ho fea) is steadily building his future as a professional boxer and in his next fight, his 6th, he takes on the far more experienced Carl Dilks from Liverpool, at the Bowlers Arena in his home City of Manchester on March 8.
Hosea admits it is a step up for him against Dilks, after only 5 paid outings, but he is confident it is the kind of fight he needs to progress himself and climb the rankings, learning his trade the proper way.
The super-middleweight prospect is tipped by many to become a star of British boxing. Hosea says his dream at the moment is to win a Lonsdale belt and defend it three times so he can keep it outright and put it a the mantle piece.
Being from a Gypsy family, the cousin of heavyweight contender Tyson Fury, Hosea says that boxing was no option for him and he was born into a fighting family. His Granddad was a famous and renowned bare knuckle fighter, and he was brought up with stories of his fighting exploits. Hosea's dad all his uncles, brothers and cousins are involved in the fight game and there was always a life in boxing destined for him.
