Authorities have released video of a deadly shootout between Cleveland Metroparks rangers and a suspect that occurred last December. On Monday, the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office ruled that the shooting was justified. On Dec. 8, 2015, Derek Stokes, 33, was killed in a shootout with Metroparks rangers Chelsea McLellan and Kyle Schultz. Stokes was pulled over during a routine traffic stop, leading rangers to discover an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Officers found cocaine and heroin inside Stokes' vehicle. Stokes was patted down, handcuffed and placed in the back of the cruiser as officers searched his vehicle. When the drugs were found, they removed him from the cruiser to conduct a second search.
